The place was unclean, the floor was sticky and oily, the towels (the one with the utensils) given are dirty (there was food residue inside) and so are the seats. The bathroom was disgusting, there was literal shit inside the toilet unflushed lmao. The service was awful, which was odd because I asked in advance if a table of six was okay, and they said yes -- so it's unreasonable to be rude for any sort of reason. They took literally forever to take our order, even after I specifically asked. The only time they rushed over to our table was to grab the check, lmao. Of course. The food was somewhat good, I liked the fajitas and the steak, as well as the pasta, but I don't think even a 5 star meal can justify... the rest of it. read more

Affys Premium Grill has fantastic food and I can see why they have successfully opened another location. Couple of tips- definitely make reservations, especially if it's on a Friday- Sunday. My parents and I came on a Friday and waited roughly 45 minutes- 1 hour for a table so again, make reservations! The food here, again, is delicious and comes in gigantic portions as well. My dad got the chicken stuffed with feta and spinach, my mom got the classic NY strip steak, and I got the filet mignon au poivre. Everything was great and the portions/prices were right especially considering this place is halal. For instance, the chicken was easily big enough for 2 people and was only $22. My only problem that I knocked off a star for is the service. One is that it is super spotty and you basically have to beg for someone to come to you. Two is I don't know if all the waitstaff isn't on the same page about what's on the menu but I was told that the ribs were done for the night when I wanted to order it and subsequently saw people who came after me order it with no problem...just odd. We started off with stale chips, which was not a great first impression. My husband ordered the sirloin steak and I had the Hawaiian BBQ ribs. While the flavor was good, we both felt sick afterwards, which makes me question the quality of the meat. The wilted, unappetizing salad only reinforced that concern if the salad and chips are old, the freshness of the main dishes is doubtful as well. The restaurant was nearly empty, which in hindsight feels like a red flag. On top of that, the service was unprofessional. Food was served from a cart, which was noisy and gave the whole experience a cafeteria-like feel, lowering the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately, between the poor quality, unprofessional service, and unpleasant dining environment, I cannot recommend this place. read more

It's a nice, family friendly restaurant. It's dark lit and can get loud. This place gets really busy but the staff is on top of it. We can with a party of 7 for dinner and the service of impeccable. Our favorites were the the loaded burger, chicken wings, and the short ribs. Combo fajita was okay. A bit dry, wish it came some sauces or salsa. The one thing we all did not like was the stuffed jalapeño poppers. They are huge fried in thick flour/bread crumbs. Very hard to bite into and do not taste good at all. I would avoid ordering that again. Garlic bread is okay, it's soft bras with mozzarella cheese and comes with salsa. Ahh Affys, a neighborhood classic especially for those looking for a halal steakhouse. I usually order takeout from here especially during the pandemic and honestly no complaints - the food is always hot, nicely packaged and quick. This past week, however, my family took me here to celebrate my birthday as it was close by and everyone loves their food. We went on a Thursday evening for a party of 7 + two kids - a sleeping toddler and a 7 month old baby. The staff was super accommodating by changing our table so my niece could sleep on a long bench and even offered a high chair in case she woke up. The food was amazing, I usually get the lemon herb chicken with rice and veggies but decided to try their sizzle. My brothers always get the Texas chicken burger and love it. The portions are large and each bite packs a punch. For dessert my family got me a hot chocolate brownie and I like how they came out with a sparkler for my birthday. Service wise our waitress wasn't the sweetest tbh kinda felt judged since we were sharing dishes(6 dishes and 3 drinks for 7 people) and she's like oh is that it for ALL of you? But other than that everything else was great. Interior wise don't expect this to be the cutest restaurant but it's also not the worst. I've been coming to this place 1-3x per year for special occasions and the food has never disappointed! Our go to are the filet mignon, stuffed cajun chicken breast, and bbq beef back ribs. They all come with two sides; rice and fries are great, the mash tastes like its out of the box. As for drinks, they're good but definitely over priced. The wait staff are great and nice! Reason why its not 5 stars, and this is a very crucial point, you have to wait at minimum 1hr for your food, without fail, no matter what day or what time of day, expect to wait an hour after you're seated. When we brought our elderly parents, we had to wait 15 min to get seated (that's with a reservation) then another 1 hr for the food. I felt so bad making 65+ yr olds wait so long to eat. The wait is so long that you fill yourself up with the free chips and salsa and don't even have an appetite by the time the food comes. The food is served table by table in order that you're seated. It makes me wonder if there's only one stove and one chef back there. Sprinkle in the take out orders they're pumping out, the wait is 40min beyond what you should expect for steak and fries. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to suck it up and wait the hour as they are the only halal steakhouse around. I went with my husband on a non-busy afternoon. There was one other table there when we arrived. We ordered and the place started filling out. Considering it was almost empty when we arrived, we expected to get our food relatively quickly. But it took a really long time for our food to be ready. They should work on presentation, your sides are often on smaller plates and take up a lot of room on the table. I'm the type of person that likes to mix my food together and eat so I didn't like that. My husbands New York strip was ordered medium well and he loved it. Well seasoned and chewable without blood (which we don't like personally). It was piping hot and steaming when it came out. Considering the time it took for our food to come, the rest of the food was cold. Maybe it's because the steak took the longest amount of time... but that definitely subtracted to the quality of the food. I had ordered the lemon herb chicken. It tasted great but the blackened seasoning on the chicken overpowered it and the lemon herb was a muted background taste. They could put more colors in the steamed veggies like carrots or cauliflower or something as well. Mashed potatoes were yum and the fries were good too. Overall a good meal, but like I said everything was cold(except the steak), we must have been waiting 30 minutes for it so imagine our hunger and disappointment. Today I went after so long to Affys and ordered BBQ beef ribs and fries. The ribs were over cooked. And too crispy. The French fries were way too crispy also. I ordered tiramisu for dessert and that was the last straw. The tiramisu was literally drenched in chocolate syrup. It's supposed to be topped with cocoa powder. Tiramisu is supposed to also have layers of lady fingers. This cake had layers of ENTENMANNS's butter loaf cake. How can you just make up a tiramisu cake like that ??? The overcooked beef ribs and fries were already disappointing but to be served entenmanns butter loaf cake with chocolate syrup on top of that was just insulting. I wasted my money here. Definitely not worth it. Everything was way overpriced for the quality of food I got today. The service wasn't that great either. We waited more than one hour to be served. Ahh came here last min for dinner with my cousin who drove in from CT. It was close to my uncles house so I figured it's be ok. We got there and the place was packed, thought it was a good sign. We were seated immediately, and we given complimentary chips and salsa. But flavor was good We ordered the Cajun Calamari because I like anything calamari. 1. There was nothing Cajun about it. 2. Wasn't even good as regular calamari. It was too fishy, I questioned the freshness and the dough was hard, scratched my pallet. I handed the full plate to the waitress to take away. She didn't even bother asking why, guess she knew. Or didn't care. My cousin is on the Keto diet, she lost 60lbs on it, so I can't knock it. The waitress was helpful with this. She ordered the filet minion, asked for it to be only seasoned with salt, pepper and butter. And order extra mushroom and broccoli on the side. I ordered the lamb chops with mash and sautéed veggies. The filet minion looked good, but my cousin said was heavily peppered. The lamb chops were also ok, but heavy on the pepper. There were 4 smaller chops but filling. The mash was pretty fresh, really chunky and had a pepper corn gravy. The veggies on the other hand had a really really weird taste. We ordered the mango jalapeño grilled chicken & shrimp, the Chrispy onion & cheese burger, the poutine fries, mashed potatoes, calamari, and margarita. My husband wasn't happy at first with his burger. At all. It was too dry for him, too well done, he didn't even eat it. I liked my mango grilled chicken tho the portion was very small for $18. The margarita was made from syrup, not fresh lime so that wasn't good either. The calamari was good. The poutine fries were not. However, The waiters were really nice and so was the owner. They asked how our night was going and we said everything honestly the way I am here. Next thing you know, they made my husband another burger, much juicer and full of flavor. They also added another poutine fries without us asking and took the drink off the bill so that was very nice of them. They really made up for the bad beginning. I was disappointed that they don't have indoor or outdoor dining anymore but I got the same service in the comfort of my home when I ordered through the app. It took them 45 mins to prepare my order and another 30 mins to deliver but it was worth it. The food was delicious, well cooked, spicy and satisfying. The best part about my food was the 7 ounce steak, well done with pepperoni spicy gravy. Affy's was an enjoyable experience except for a few minor issues. The service was good but the food took forever to arrive. I know that's not the server's fault but I feel management should be more attentive to their guests wait time. I ordered the rib eye steak but it was over cooked when I asked for medium. So my party ate their food as I waited which was quite annoying. I really liked the complimentary chips and salsa and for dessert we had chocolate cake/brownie with ice cream which was delicious as well. My friend loved the New York Strip steak so I will make sure to get it next time. Skip on the garlic bread it was nothing special. Overall, I feel as though with a few minor adjustments the restaurant can redeem itself and has a great concept.
