Italian Hoagie is perfect. Sicilian pizza a great crisp and tasty. The regular pizza-mine with pepperoni and mushrooms is out of this world

Let me say that Pizza Lupo is my favorite Pittsburgh Pizza. I know Fiori's won some competition,…read moreand I have had Fiori's pizza, and it cannot beat Lupo. Our favorite is the Drunk Meatball: that homemade vodka pizza sauce, and their homemade meatballs, along with the rosettes of ricotta cheese is amazing. Lupo has a wonderful char to the crust and the undercarriage is slightly crispy. The second favorite is the 10th Ward pizza: the combination of meats, peppers, and ricotta makes it amazing. The challenge we have had with Lupo there isn't a place it eat inside, and it takes 20 mins for us to get home, so we have lost some of the warmth and the crust isn't quite as crispy; enter Coven Brewing. We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.

They are known for their Buffalo Chicken Pizza which is an interesting taste, but something caught my eye that I haven't seen in a minute. Broasted Chicken. Imagine deep fried chicken but it's in a pressure cooker where it's juicier and less greasy as a result. I am not going to lie, for an 8 piece chicken that's $14.99 that is a quite a steal in today's timeline. You get two breasts, two leg, two thighs, and two wings. It honestly an amazing deal and I would come back just for that. Since it was raining, we sat down at the only two tables outside that were the only places to enjoy our food. I couldn't finish eating 8 pieces of chicken so I took the rest home. It was still enjoyable even after my initial drive home. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was also good, but the flavor comes mostly from the chicken. With the ranch adds more flavor to a new level. I liked it but I only had a slice and chicken to finish. Check Frank's Pizza & Chicken if you enjoy pizza!

They were not very busy so we were able to get a table right away without a reservation. We stated with fried artichokes and a caesar salad, which we shared. The portions were a nice size for sharing. We then had the white pizza and the chicken parmesan for our entries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend Spirit. We will definitely be back.

Let's get the one problem out of the way: Our only issue was that the host was incredibly cold and seemed very irritated with us, which we were not used to. We tried to joke and interact in an upbeat way, but they almost seemed to be repulsed by us and annoyed that we were talking to them. We had a reservation, so we really didn't have a choice. I suggest Spirit find a different position for that host, as good of a person as I am sure they are, they don't seem to like people at all. I am taking off a star because of the host being a complete buzzkill to the beginning of our experience. Who you hire matters! Where is 3D Mark or someone who loves to play and makes you feel like family? As for the food, five stars. We loved Chef Raf's pop-up! We loved that it felt like a beautiful combo of Spirit's pizza kitchen with Raf's high quality filipino flavors! The drinks were good. We were delighted at the vegan options and all of the cool nonalcoholic drinks. LOVE. The atmosphere was also super cool. Lots of plants, a moose horn, a bear head mascot mask thing, windows with natural light that slightly look out onto the street. It's not that big of a space in the room we were, but there's one big booth in the back that can sit maybe 7 people if you squish.
