Food is always made with attention to detail and love. Great for authentic Middle Eastern food. I always have a lamb dish and it's always fresh and flavourful. My girlfriend is vegan and also loves this place - from falafel and rice to curried chickpeas, cauliflower, and fresh salad there are plenty of options. Plus, the owners are lovely and cook for us as if we are their family. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic, healthy, food with a homely atmosphere! P.s. don't miss out on the homemade desserts like rice pudding and basbousa :)

Lamb shank, incredible, must have, must try, this is a staple. Tender flavorful perfection lamb, no question. The other is Falafel

This place is: Amazing for take out Keto diet very friendly Paleo diet very friendly Great tasting food and amazing value. Only issue, this is not a true sit down restaurant w servers, which it absolutely has the potential for. I'm very happy to have a great inexpensive place to get shwarma, lamb, and gyro platters. Lamb Shank is a must have and my dog loved the bone as well!

    Hummus with Afghan bread

This spot is so amazing. We never have had Afghan foods before and what an introduction to the cuisines. We found it randomly one day trying to search for ethnic foods in the area. We had the hummus, shramwa gyro, chicken kabob, a side eggplant, and two dessert bhaklava. All for $35. One advice is having a back up item that you would want before calling in your order since everything is made fresh so the restaurant may run out of a certain items. Took 15-20 mins for our order to be ready from calling to pick up. Not bad at all. My husband loves lamb and has a healthy appetite. He was thrilled that the gyros was packed with Shwama meat and was huge. The picture doesn't do it justice how big the meal is. We have lots of leftovers for the next day which is awesome. To explain to you how good the foods was, while eating we already planned our next meal from Jahan. He's planning to get the Lamb shank and I'm getting the tikka beef . Definitely recommend!

    Jahan Signature Falafel
    CJ L.

Recommended by a fellow coworker as I was looking for an alternative for a place where I could get a meal without having meat. Very small place within a mini mall of stores right after the bridge over the Delaware River. I chose the Signature Jahan Falafel on the Naan bread with the sautéed Cauliflower. The sauce which I would assume is some kind of Tzatziki Sauce made this sandwich all worth it. It had a mixture of veggie meat and mix vegetables. The sautéed cauliflower appeared more fried but it was also tasty. They have many meat options from chicken, lamb, veggie "steak" etc. Inside there's not much seating (5 small two seated tables) but the workers and owner behind the counter were very courteous and inquired about my experience as I was leaving. Although the portion size for the falafel wasn't huge, it was truly satisfying and I felt I got my monies worth. This place is one of those small family eateries that you will enjoy and want to continue to give them your business. Nice mix of good food and hospitality.

I would've thought maybe it was a three all day long but after dinner tonight and getting to meet.Muhamme it was definitely a five and we will absolutely be back. We start off with an appetizer of chicken Samosa and not anything like an Indian Samosa a little bit different and very tasty not greasy, a nice crunch. My wife had the lamb Gyro platter that came with a plate of their rice with carrots and raisins, and a side dish and pita bread and I had the lamb shank platter. The meat on the lamb shank was to die, for it melted right off the bone. It was perfectly cooked. Tenders can be soft as can be tasty as can be a nice shoe of pink on the inside and the sauce that it was in we were dipping the pita bread in it, as well as some of the pieces for my wife's platter, which was also extremely tender very unexpected. Overall, it definitely rings bells for us as another food group that now we have a regular place to go.

We found out that most of the people (regulars) who usually come here are on their vacation season so it was not an issue getting a six-top reservation with only a day's notice. The restaurant is huge with at least two mega rooms downstairs and one upstairs. We actually went to the upstairs door to check in only to be told we had to go to the downstairs door and check in there. Once we did, the staff asked if we would be ok with being in the "party" room where there would be a DJ. We were fine with that and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Once at our table, the extensive menus made it almost too difficult to decide what we wanted. May want to consider reducing the food options here. My wife and I split a tomahawk steak. Once we ordered it, we were told we should probably move to an eight-top because we would have more space. The place was almost empty at 6:15pm on a Saturday so we got to move and give us some more room. We also had two serving of Plov, a prime NY strip, a roasted beet salad, and a chicken fingers with fries. We added some bread, too, along with some compote. The Plov was some of the best we've ever had with lots of tender meat. Both steaks were cooked to our liking. Fries were killer and the chicken fingers were fine. I did not care for the compote as I'm used to it with fruit still in the drink. At about 7pm, the DJ started but there was no separate party which is what we thought was going to show up. The DJ sang some and played up-tempo dance music but also threw in some known music like Ob-Bla-Dee Ob-Bla-Dah from the Beatles also in the dance music style. So much fun after drinking a lot of our BYOB alcohol. Service was excellent and more than accommodating for us. He even advised when we were getting ready to leave that it was raining hard and we could stay until it died down. The restaurant is colorful with lights and designs on the walls including projector lights and white linen sheets above. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.
