It was my second time coming in, and since my hair had grown out, I just needed a trim cleaning up the sides while keeping the length on top. Karl Cheung was my stylist, and he was fantastic. He immediately understood what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I also had my hair washed before the cut and tried a down perm for the first time, which made a huge difference since my hair tends to stick up and get unruly. Overall, the experience was great the vibe, the music, and how clean everything was really stood out. And honestly, for the quality, the price (even with tip) at $153 felt totally worth it. The haircut was completed in about 10-12 minutes, which honestly surprised me because I've never had someone cut my hair that quickly. I left terrified. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what I asked for. He added more layers than I wanted, even though I specifically requested a straighter style. He also cut my hair about two inches shorter than I had requested, and the layers don't blend as smoothly as I would like. The haircut doesn't look terrible, but it wasn't the look I was hoping for, and the appointment felt rushed. While Jim was kind and professional, I left feeling disappointed and not very happy with the final result. Because of that, I probably wouldn't return.

KOREAN LASH LIFT WITH AMANDA REVIEW…read more i've been seeing amanda for my lash lifts for several months now, after years of wanting to get them lifted but being too scared bc my eyes are so sensitive, especially after laser eye surgery. my lashes are long but so straight and without curling them i look so sleepy. i also don't wear makeup so this is the main "makeup-y" thing i do. but curling them everyday with a lash curler, having to use mascara that make my eyes itch and them not lasting in hot humid weather was a pain and time suck hassle. amanda is so gentle and careful with her technique, i experienced absolutely no irritation (surprisingly!) with any of the several sessions and after a few sessions have found my ideal curl shape. i just got them done again yesterday, woke up to seeing them curled perfectly in the mirror and i am so happy! i drive all the way from oakland just to have her do them for me every 6 weeks. i'm so happy to support a genuinely caring and skilled person, the drive and time spent is well worth it. plus she has so many cute decorations and treats for her clients to enjoy, i love the novelty and professionalism of it all. thanks amanda !

My hair is long, but it isn't completely straight like most common Asian hair. My hair had gotten to the point where I really needed a trim to get rid of a lot of the split-ends, but I didn't have time to drive all the way into SF (where I use to live before moving to Hayward) just to visit my usual hairdresser/stylist. I contacted Lien via text and she was super responsive. I was also able to schedule an appointment with her the next day during the afternoon. Not only that, Lien is super nice and friendly! Anyways, the place itself is pretty convenient since it's located by the freeway. The place is surprisingly pretty big and spacious and my mom's hairdresser is always patient and polite. I will admit probably for my mom's next visit I'll have to stick around a tad longer and help my mom and her hairdresser when my mom gets her hair washed. So not everything there is I guess ADA available, but it's a minor thing for now since my mom has very limited mobility but can move with some assistance. As for the hairstyle, mom is always happy and I personally think makes her feel as normal as she can get these days and being content let alone having another outside interaction besides with me is always a good thing!

She's a true color magician. She helped me transition through the awkward grey stage at exactly the right time, and later brought me back to light brown in a way that blends beautifully with my fast-growing greys and grows out naturally without constant upkeep. The moment I knew I could fully trust her was when she gave me a short haircut, something I'm usually very hesitant about and absolutely nailed it. Finding a stylist who is genuinely excellent at both color and cutting is surprisingly rare, and Libby is both. She listens carefully, understands the science behind how color and texture behave, and designs styles that actually look great as they grow out not just the day you leave the chair.
