I scheduled the night before and was assigned an appointment the next morning. There is parking lot in the back but I decided to park on the street. The space was very cute and cozy. I was serviced right away and was in and out in 15 minutes. I got a waterfall haircut and my hair was long to waist. I got a 2 inch fresh cut with bangs to my nose, long overdue hair cut indeed. She made me feel at home with family pictures and even got some good food recommendations. Thank and I'll be coming back again. read more

I walked in and came here bc of the great reviews wanting just a trim from my hair, it was very quick done in 15min. I paid 35$ left satisfied with the cut but I didn't even get an inch off. Not super clean or aesthetic but my haircut was fine. Didn't take an after picture the picture I attached was before. read more

This Salon is great for both men and women hair cuts. Kai and Lin never fail to greet you on your way in and way out. I have been coming to this Salon for almost 2 years and I have never been disappointed. I have curly hair and get a taper so my hair can be tricky but Kai gets my haircut right every time. I have even tried burst fades and other styles and he has made perfect adjustments. Kai and Lin are both so kind and genuinely care to make sure that you like your hair cut. They always keep their shop clean and organized and they off washes just in case you have plans right after your haircut. Another great thing about this shop is that their prices are very affordable. Starting at $20 for men and $30 for women they are by far the cheapest for the best quality hair cuts in this area. I highly recommend trying out this Salon for your next hair cut. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been a customer since 2016 and have always been happy with Ky and Lin's service. My hair grows back rather quickly and compared to other barber shops in the area, splendid offers great service at an affordable price. They have easy parking in the back, plenty of room to sit and wait comfortably. Clean restroom if needed. Ky is a great barber that always helps me keep my head, face/beard looking good. Overpriced. I went in for a haircut for shoulder length hair and root touch up for $160. Cut was shorter than I wanted - it looked ok when blow dried and styled at the salon, but when I washed at home and let it dry with a little product, it doesn't lay well. The back of my sweater was wet from the hair wash to wash out the dye, the cape/cover slipped off but Lynn kept trimming directly onto my sweater so I left with a damp sweater and hair all over and inside my sweater. read more

They are both welcoming and always awesome to see them and keep up with each other's life happenings. Awesome spot to go for a quick haircut! My hair was getting longer than I like. I live across the street so this place is super convenient for me. I called them to make an appointment, but they said it's empty and to just walk in and I'll get a haircut right away. I was greeted by Ki, a friendly gentleman who seated me right away and got straight to work. First time getting a haircut here with Lynn and she did not disappoint! During the pandemic, my hair has grown so much and I've just been putting off going to the salon. I went on Yelp and saw this place and checked it out. I was nervous because I know some hair stylists get scissor happy and cut way too much off. I communicated with Lynn exactly what I wanted and she gave me exactly that! My hair is still long, just 2 inches off, and looks so much healthier. She is very sweet and listens to you and she even shared her story. This place is ran by her and her husband. The salon itself is spacious and clean with plenty of parking in the back. I took my mom here for the first time (she is 82 and just moved to the area), and she wanted a wash and trim. The staff were very friendly and patient with her, and listened carefully to what she wanted. She has hearing difficulty, and they picked up on this and worked with her. Came here a couple of days ago. Had a close family member cut my hair and unfortunately didn't like it so I desperately wanted a new haircut. I also just moved from San Francisco to Hayward and was feeling a bit hesitant trusting someone else than the guy I normally go to in Daly City to cut my hair. I hated my haircut, wish I could give 0 stars. Never come here. Lady kept taking off my mask and glasses without asking and doesn't tie the blanket correctly so all hair falls on you. And don't you dare ask for the correct length of your hair because she'll cut off 3 extra inches! I explained before my haircut how I wanted it and did not listen. Lynn has cut my hair three times and she has won me over as a client. She is skilled and pays a lot of attention to detail to make sure my super thick, unruly hair looks good. She has a large clientele but she always honors appointments regardless of how many walk ins are waiting. The place is no frills so don't expect a trendy salon with champagne or cupcakes. The only reason why I am leaving 2 stars is because the lady was very nice, but unfortunately she does NOT work on wavy/curly hair. It would have been nice to know before getting a hair cut that she ONLY specializes in straight hair. I also asked for short layers but she instead, cut it straight across. The haircut looked very uneven and rushed. Now I have to get my hair cut again because the volume and layers are completely gone! read more

Came in for a last minute decision to trim my hair before my bday! Lyn was available and cut my hair just how I wanted it :) she's a sweet lady and did a great job on my hair cut ! This salon seems like a family business, it's nice to support them during this time ! Before Lyn cut my hair, she was finishing up a little boy's haircut, and then she had an appointment with another client for a cut and blow dry. I love Splendid! Lynn is fabulous and seems to almost know instinctually what the best style and cut is, and she's efficient but warm and kind while working. I'm easily overwhelmed in big salons - Splendid is the perfect atmosphere for me. Getting my hair cut here feels like getting help from a more stylish and capable friend. And the prices are super reasonable for the quality. If there's another spot in the Bay to get this quality of cut for a price this low, I haven't found it (and I've lived all over the Bay for nearly a decade!). read more

I'm sad I moved. I was a regular here when I lived in Hayward from 2018 - 2022. Kai and his wife, Lynn, are exceptional. They listen, care, and are very friendly. They charge very fair prices as well. Kai is definitely better than Lynn but if you're a regular, Lynn can cut almost as well as Kai. read more

And after 6 months of following tips, and seeing what works for me, my hair is fuller, healthier, and thriving as I've mentioned. Finding a stylist who is genuinely excellent at both color and cutting is surprisingly rare, and Libby is both. She listens carefully, understands the science behind how color and texture behave, and designs styles that actually look great as they grow out not just the day you leave the chair. She's also warm, funny, and incredibly easy to be around. Even my husband, who normally avoids hair maintenance altogether, got a cut from her and loved it. Anyways, the place itself is pretty convenient since it's located by the freeway. The place is surprisingly pretty big and spacious and my mom's hairdresser is always patient and polite. I will admit probably for my mom's next visit I'll have to stick around a tad longer and help my mom and her hairdresser when my mom gets her hair washed. So not everything there is I guess ADA available, but it's a minor thing for now since my mom has very limited mobility but can move with some assistance. As for the hairstyle, mom is always happy and I personally think makes her feel as normal as she can get these days and being content let alone having another outside interaction besides with me is always a good thing!

That step saved a lot of time, which mattered since I went on a weekday during my lunch break. On the day of the appointment, Annabelle greeted me warmly. I only came to see her for all of my hair needs. She's the sweetest and a true expert at what she does, so there is NO complaint there whatsoever. The reason I've come back to write this review is because of the frustration I experienced last year-ish when I wanted to make an appointment to see her for my hair again. You can't make appointments with Julie online- you have to contact the salon directly via email or text. I reached out at least twice and both times received no response. I was a long time client at this salon and it felt like that didn't matter at all. The services here are great, but I wanted to hopefully shed some light on this issue I had here and maybe even return in the future if this gets resolved.
