Amazing service!! The barista made a few recommendations and I ended up going with one of them. I had an Iced Latte w/ little bit of pistachio syrup. The syrup is housemade and has the perfect balance of nutty flavor and sweetness. I also tried their sourdough bagel which was delicious, it was light and very well seasoned.

You could give me a book and drop me off at a coffeeshop and I wouldn't know where the hours go by. Afuga is one of those "perfect" coffeeshops for this. - The two people behind the counter were nice and positive and that already sets the vibe. - They have a vast menu of options for drinks as well as bakery items. I was amazed at the choices I had even for gluten-free items. - My flat white was the best cup of coffee I've had in a while. Strong but not bitter. Served in a ceramic cup not paper. - Plenty of seating - high-tops, regular height, indoor, outdoor, near plug points, etc. - Free parking down the street Honestly, scores perfectly on each criteria.

I was excited to try after seeing raging reviews and Afuga did not meet the mark for me. The barista was nice and answered my questions. I ordered a maple pecan latte with oat milk and this latte was bitter and I tasted no maple pecan whatsoever. The drink tasted burnt and the worst part of it all was I received more of a cappuccino than a latte. As a barista, I don't understand why this would be served to me. So my 12 oz cup was more like 8 oz of actual liquid left with no flavor

One of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops I've ever been to. Despite it being relatively small, there is a bunch of seating and a good amount of outlets. There are high tops, tables, and even cushioned areas with small personal tables. I appreciate the versatile seating. The place was also super clean. I love that the sinks were outside the bathroom to make washing your hands more accessible. My caramel latte with oat milk was good. On the sweeter side, but I still enjoyed it. I look forward to coming back here!

    Matcha latte and The Shaken!

The spot is sort of a hidden gem since it's not off a main road but it's so worth it. Seating is a bit limited and crowded so please be aware of this is your planning on working remotely to get here early to grab a spot. The baristas were extremely friendly and helpful in navigating their menu items and making suggestions. I did appreciate that they hand whisk their matcha which is a nice touch to the process. The latte was really good as well, not too sweet. If you're looking for a spot in the area to grab a nice perk me up, come check out Afuga!

This place is a bit tucked away. Great coffee. It's really close to the trail, so very convenient to get a cup of Joe and go on a walk! I wish I brought some work to do here, it's a cool spot to sit down and get some work done

One of my favorite coffee shops in Austin! I run with Hey Girl Run on Sundays at 9 am, and we treat ourselves to coffee afterward each week. The employees are friendly and always greet us when we go in. I have tried their lattes and teas, but recently am hooked on the coconut americano. It's an iced americano made with coconut water. I add a splash of almond milk. Delicious! Highly recommend. I recently got a hot latte and felt it was very weak, which is not usually the case when I get it iced. They have awesome pastries from a local bakery, and although they are pricey, they are delicious. They offer our run club a 10% discount when purchasing a beverage and a treat. Awesome coffee, people, and comfortable space. Love it here!

I really wanted to like this place. It was directly across from where we were staying and I hoped to enjoy coffee here each morning. We went twice, hoping the prior day was just a fluke and what we ordered must have been messed up because it was terrible, but nope, day two and my iced chai this time (something I chose because it is easy peasy to make) was so, so awful. It was gritty and tasted like soured licorice syrup. Yuck. Once again it went into the trash. 2 for 2, you fooled me twice. Not again Afuga. So many great coffee shops in Austin, this is definitely not one of them.

Cute coffeeshop! Got a vanilla latte that was tasty. It is a bit on the pricier side for taste that wasn't significantly better per se. Seating is a bit limited inside but parking is ample (garage available).

Lovely coffee shop with delish patries options. Afuga is a great place to work or chill out of. September is still a bit too hot for sitting outside but come October and November, it will be sweet to be out. This coffee shop is also super close to Lady Bird trail, a 5 mins walk will lead you right to the trail.' I love my orange cake slice and the barista who worked the noon shift on Wednesday was friendly, knowledgable and helpful! I really appreciate her. She made my london fog less sweet just like how I asked for it. I also like that they have a lot of special drinks but seems like most are not homemade syrups/jam - which is what I'd love to see at these kinds of shops.

I love stopping by Afuga early on the weekend as the area is really quiet but close to the trail by Lady Bird Lake. I got the honey lavender latte and my partner got the cinnamon vanilla latte. Both were delicious! There is ample seating as well as some outside tables, and I've never had trouble getting a seat. They also have some interesting pastries and breakfast items- the buckwheat muffin is delicious!

Sourdough bialy and caramelized onion and cheese focaccia
    Ria A.

Nice vibes and ok prices but the coffee is just alright and the pastries were not so good. Everything looks good, but then you bite into the heated up bialy or focaccia and it's just tough. We ordered americanos to get a sense of what they use for espresso, and it's just ok. Staff was friendly and great at giving recommendations, so definitely the service is the best thing about this place.

We chose half sweetness so it didn't feel drenched in maple syrup, which made it way more enjoyable for me. The cinnamon notes and subtle spice undertone came through nicely. Not exactly my go-to since I gravitate toward floral or fruit-forward drinks, but definitely fun to try at least once. Honey Lavender - LOVED this one. Everyone agreed it was very lavender, which only made me love it more. I chose whole milk and was surprised by how smooth and creamy it tasted. My only tiny complaint is that I didn't get much coffee flavor coming through, but if you're here for the lavender, this absolutely delivers. Coconut Macadamia Latte - this hit the spot. Perfectly coconut-y with just enough macadamia peeking through. I'll admit I have a sharp tongue for coconut flavors (hello, Thai curry), so this one immediately stood out to me. The sweetness level felt just right, and honestly, I'd pick this over Starbucks any day. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin - one of the best things I ate in Austin. The texture deserves praise because it somehow managed to be firm without being dry, which I usually think goes hand in hand. Not here. It was moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious while somehow also not being overly sweet. The cream cheese and pumpkin flavors came through beautifully without feeling sugary or heavy. If you stop by, this is a must-order. But honestly, the best part of this whole place? The service, the people, the atmosphere (especially the atmosphere!), and the flavors. There's something about the space that just makes you want to stay awhile. Also... did you know you can touch the bear's butt?!? Highly recommend. It weirdly felt like a mandatory part of the experience.

Tons of outdoor and patio seating, a few tables indoors in the AC. I ordered the Flapjack, hot, with double espresso in a larger cup, with half sweetness (effectively a large with less services). Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.

There was a pretty measurable line outside the food truck, and I was worried the coffee might be overhyped based on how long the line was. I will always talk about the importance of balancing the espresso, syrups, and milk in a latte, and Noble Joe does it better than most brick and mortar coffee shops I have been to in Austin. It is significantly flavorful while still being espresso forward. I was genuinely impressed, which is hard to do after being the wreck I was post run. If you are on the trail, it is worth the detour. I live quite north so Noble Joes was a bit of a drive for me and honestly it's good coffee but a bit overhyped in my opinion. I bought two lattes - the seasonal blackberry crumble ($7) and the sugar cookie latte ($6), and although both had a good flavor, they both had all of the brown sugar that was supposed to be in them undissolved on the bottom and as best as I tried to dissolve it with the straw given, I had to wait until I was home (about 30 mins) to get a spoon to dissolve it. Personally I liked the sugar cookie latte the best! I would probably rate the coffee overall as a 7.5/10- definitely worth trying at least once! Service- 10/10 the baristas were very pleasant!
