A little over 3 years ago I went to see Dr.A at the Fridley clinic to have sclerotherapy done to my legs. As usual with any Dr. visit, especially if it is your first visit, you are asked to fill out a medical history form. On that form I indicated that my legs felt heavy a great majority of the time. That I almost always experienced swelling to my ankles, on and off leg discomfort, and moderate to severe restless legs. I mentioned I contributed these symptoms to my MS. Dr.A said that may be the case, but he wanted to do a doppler study to see if there could be another cause for these problems. The doppler study showed that I in fact did have some very nasty vein issues to both legs and that may be the contributing factor for my leg problems. I am so very thankful Dr.A wasn't convinced that my MS was totally to blame. Dr.A is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. He is such a caring, thoughtful, sincere, and patient person. He did not rush me and gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions and fully understand the ablation procedure he would be doing. The procedure itself was painless, but there was a little stinging to the site he was numbing. That stinging went away very quickly. Since the procedure I have very little, to no ankle swelling, my legs no longer have that heavy feeling, and I can't remember the last time I had leg discomfort other than when I bang them into the corner of the table or chair, etc. What excites me the most is the good riddance to my restless legs. Well not completely. I do have some restless legs, but only after walking 5 or more miles without allowing my legs to rest. But that is nothing compared to before when the restless leg problem could and would happen at any given time. I can't speak more highly of Dr.A and his wonderful staff. Every time I have gone there for either a treatment or recheck I am always greeted by my name and with a very welcoming smile. I can honestly say I have never seen or heard them to be unhappy. They all work so well together. It is wonderful place to have such good care. Without hesitation I would recommend Dr.A and as my husband calls him; "The best vein Dr. in town." I was looking to get lipo on my abdomen, sides and outer thighs, so I did my research and went in for a few consultations. Metro Vein and Sono Bello were two places that stood out because they were polar opposites. This review is more of a comparison of the two. First off, Sono Bello has very nice facilities, whereas Metro Vein is smaller. When I got to Sono Bello the gal took me to an office, spent about 5 minutes explaining the procedure and took a quick look at my belly and then sent me on my way with a quote. It felt like I was on a conveyor belt, nothing personal, absolutely no interest in who I was. Metro Vein did not have a fancy office, but when I was taken to the room I was given a robe to change into. Dr. A and his nurse took the time to explain the process, urged me to ask questions and actually looked over my body. Then I was asked to get some lab work to show that I was healthy enough for the procedure. keep in mind, Sono Bello never asked for blood work and probably could care less if I croaked on the operating table. Metro Vein was significantly (think a couple of grand) cheaper and did not count upper belly and lower belly as two separate areas like Sono Bello did. Brielle, the nurse, checked in with me periodically in the weeks leading up to the procedure. During the procedure itself Dr. A was so friendly that the whole process was very comfortable. Finally, the results were fantastic. I have always struggled with a pooch and now I can actually see my feet when I look down. I highly recommend Metro Vein and Dr. A and I suggest that people stay away from large shops like Sono Bello who move bodies like cattle. read more

I had sclerotherapy done with a groupon last fall. I was supposed to come back for my second visit 5-6 weeks later but broke my wrist and then had some shoulder issues so was unable to manage the compression socks needed after the procedure. The office was so great about needing to put off the second appointment until I was better. They were very flexible and I greatly appreciated it. Brielle, the nurse doing the procedure, was great. I have had treatments for varicose veins on both legs as well as spider veins. The staff at Metro Vein was very personable and professional. I visited both the Plymouth and Fridley locations in the course of my treatments and since the staff floats among the locations, the location of my treatment made no difference in the care I received. Dr. A always treated me with respect, took ample time to talk with me, and made me feel at ease about my procedures.
