They used to be very good. No longer. Paid over $700 to have my dogs nuts cut off, which is ridiculous in and of itself. He had a follow up about a week and a half later. The day before they called me to verify. I told them I probably could not make it in due to work, but he was doing well. The said ok and asked if I wanted to cancel the appointment and just keep track if anything came up. I said yes. Today I get a letter in the mail saying because we missed the appointment we have to pay a fee equivalent to visit before he can be seen again! $700, they contacted me, and it was supposed to be cancelled, and now this. Years ago they were very good. In the past 3 years I have noticed they were going downhill. Higher prices, ok care but not like it used to be, rush you in and out. This is the final straw for us, we are taking our dogs elsewhere. read more

Charged $350 for pretty much nothing. They handled one cat for a few minutes, did nothing with the cat, put it back in the carrier, handled the second cat for a few minutes, drew blood, put it back in carrier, charged me $350. Refused to give me the test results. In cases like this where a veterinarian refuses to provide test results or to discuss their recommendations it's best to ask for a credit card refund through your credit card company and move on to a better veterinary practice. read more

These are lies by agape. Dr Blaha definitely was new owner. And when she was on vacation the first time is when you guys gave horrible service and refused to see my pet after you almost killed her with a continuous mis-diagnosis. I had to contact her directly. And the horrible service continued after that as well when she came back. read more

After moving here I needed a vet for my pup in case of emergencies, I still continue to go to my vet in NJ if I am there during vaccinations but not for emergency cases. Someone suggested I visit here and it is not far from my house so I decided to check it out. The building is rather large and looks like it has a lot of space, there is a ramp to make it easily wheelchair and doggy accessible. The waiting room is large and spacious for people and their animals. I have been here twice and enjoyed my second visit much more than my first. I saw a different vet the first time and I much prefer Dr. Blaha, not that I did not enjoy the other lady but I have a preference. The rooms are a bit small but Dr. Blaha is extremely knowledgeable on her medicine and animals. She even gave us a script to get meds elsewhere knowing it was cheaper. It is a little 'old school' with the paper forms and billing but it is a nice facility and they have deals for new pet owners, which I like. The front desk employees were friendly. My only issue is that I don't get a line by line bill on the services and the receipt stapled, I'm not sure if this is me being picky but I think that they do a very good job here. read more

I have a 9-month-old corgi puppy named Harper. I established care for her at Agape when she was about 3 months old. At first, they were great. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Dr. Blaha. She was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, when it came time to talk about spaying, things took a turn for the worse. Long story short, I had an appointment scheduled for Harper to be spayed. In the meantime, I did some research and found out that Corgi's should not be fixed until at least 1 year old or until after their first heat cycle so that they can fully develop first. I also reached out to my breeder, who has been breeding Corgi's for several years, and she recommended waiting. During this time, Harper also started bleeding. I brought all of this to Agape's attention. They informed me that they do not recommend waiting. They said the breeder probably Googles things, while they have real doctors like Dr. Blaha that have been to school and know their stuff. Whether Agape is right or not, they handled this all very unprofessionally. They said that now because I waited and my dog was "bigger" there would be a "mature dog fee" for the spaying and it would not be cheap. I was originally quoted $700 something dollars. I can't imagine what the "mature dog fee" would cost. They said Harper would also have to come in for more bloodwork before getting spayed, which was never mentioned before. If we had taken her in for her original spaying appointment, they would have operated on her without bloodwork. This makes me extremely concerned and makes me believe they do not care about the well-being of my dog. The communication here is absolutely terrible, the staff is rude and condescending, and it is very noticeable that they are just out for money. They do not genuinely care about my dog and they do not care to be kind to their customers. I have since established care for Harper elsewhere. I do not recommend taking your pet here. read more

Very irresponsible and uncaring vet clinic. My elderly mother has used Agape for many years. My mother's cat is very sick to the point it's dying. I have personally been calling Agape since 3 days ago trying to get the cat an emergency appointment. Today, Alexis at Agape tells me that my mother didn't want to bring in the cat until Thursday. However, I was sitting there and listened to my mother's conversations with Agape. She requested an emergency appointment the same as I did. Four days to get an emergency appointment for a dying pet and then falsely trying to blame an elderly woman. That's just irresponsible. read more

I am quite upset with Agape. For the last 5 years I have taken both my dogs to Agape. Last time I picked up flea and tick meds for them it cost me $75 for a very small and medium sized dog. It just gets more and more expensive. I wanted to save some money and also go back to the old meds they took (Nexgard) so I thought I'd order through WalMart RX. Good price and I could order 1 month at a time and have them delivered for free. Next thing I know, I I get an email from WalMart saying they could not fill one script because my dog needed an exam. Never refused to take my money at the office or tell me she needed an exam but try to order through someone besides them and all the sudden you need an exam. They tried to say it's a rule they have a yearly exam but why now and not for the last 5 years? This is ridiculous and such money gouging it's pathetic. I refuse to use a vet that operates on $$ signs instead of trying to work in favor of the animals. I've pulled my animals from there. There are plenty of vets that don't look at their practice as a racket. The docs that used to be there are not anymore and this place is all about the money! I really like the vet, which is why I keep going to agape, but everything else about this place is terrible. If your animal is healthy and just needs shots agape is a nice place to go. They seem nice and they get you in and out quickly. If, however, you have an emergency situation, No matter how small, this is NOT the place to come. The secretaries never call you back when they say they will. The techs are nice until you come in with a sick animal, then they blame you for the animal being sick and really judge you for not spending every cent you have on the sick animal. I told them that I couldn't go over a certain price when they were running tests and they completely disregarded it and then judged me because I got upset. When I complained about how I was being treated I was told that the manager would call me. Did I hear from them? No! If you have an emergency, don't go to agape. read more

Dr. Blaha & staff are excellent and highly recommended! We've been to a couple area veterinary clinics and we are most satisfied with Agape & Dr. Blaha. They take their time to answer your questions and address your concerns. You never feel like they are rushing you out the door. The staff is friendly and caring! I signed up for it ,and was told by the vet to my face that I could cancel anytime, there is no cancelation fee, nothing so I used it for the few months we had our puppy, now that we do not have her, I called multiple times to get them to stop payment from my checking account they never got back to me! 2 months later I had to call my bank and stop the payment from coming out! Then I get a bill in the mail for a balance for all the discounted services! They are now telling me I am responsible for all the remaining expenses as if I never had the package plus a $25 cancelation fee that all of a sudden exists! ! There is not any cancelation fee at all in black and white on any of the paper work I was given, no little black and white writing at all! So you tell me how I am supposed to react when this "manager" , from the clinic calls me and says " when did you plan on paying your balance? " This is not right, I was just getting ready to call them to get my dog fixed, now they will never see any of my animals again! This is Rip off artists at their best! Now because I have stated all the facts and my case and told them I am not paying a balance I do not owe, they are threatening to put it in collections! Mind you I never left that office with out paying an over $60 bill every single time! Just for check ups and/or shots! I recently adopted a dog from a local rescue and he was scheduled to be neutered at Agape. When I dropped my dog off the facility smelled like a dirty litter box and the staff was not very friendly, and acted like I was an inconvenience. I inquired about having my dog's hernia fixed while he was neutered (which the rescue told me would be included) and they had no information regarding the procedure. The receptionist told me she would check with the rescue and would call me back. Four hours later, when I still had not heard back, I called Agape to see if they had spoken with the rescue yet. The person I spoke with on the phone did not know what I was referring to, but he asked the receptionist and told me she talked to the rescue and "forgot to call" me back. Later, when I picked up my dog the woman who discharged him talked to me like I was stupid, told me not to approach him because "he has been nervous since he got here" (all he wanted was to be with me and my husband), and then when I was petting him I noticed that he had feces on his rear end, feet, and tail. Once we got our dog home he urinated for a VERY long time (as well as his bowel movement). It was like he had not been taken out to go to the bathroom all day. I am appalled at our first experience with Agape and we will not be dealing with them again in the future. read more
