We've been holding off on trying Agave Bandito for a bit since I was hearing mixed reviews from friends that visited when they first opened, hoping they've ironed out the details and improved. Starting off with the pros, the atmosphere is wonderful and unique with plenty of seating including indoor and their covered outdoor patio. We were seated outside on the patio and it was a lovely day. The service was great, we were seated quickly, our service was extremely attentive, and who seems to be the manger did a lovely table-touch to check in on us during the meal. We went for dinner and as the sun was setting, they lifted the patio screens and made the ambience very pleasant. Our server immediately took our drink orders and returned with free chips and salsa, which they were on top of refilling through the meal if needed. We agreed that the drinks were probably the best part of the meal. My fiancé enjoyed his tequila old fashioned and I had a refreshing prickly pear mocktail. The food was very ok. I ordered the chicharron tostones as my entree even though it's technically a starter. You get two tostones topped with a couple thin sliced pieces of chicharron for $16, which was definitely not worth it since half of it was nearly inedible due to the tostones being hard as rock. They were also place on top of a mayo-based sauce that did not go well with the flavors and was overpowering since it was drowning in the sauce. My fiancé ordered the chimichanga, and the portion size was huge. It had a decent amount of meat and a TON of rice, which he was ok with since he loves rice, but would have been way too much for my personal liking. Overall, all of the flavors were very meh and fell a little flat for me. We agreed that we would maybe come back and try out other meal items, or at least come back to enjoy drinks out on the patio. Also curious about their hidden speak easy so we will likely return for that and not the food.

My mom and I come here at least once a week when we have the same days off together. The service is impeccable, the food is fantastic, and the drinks always hit the spot. We decided to stop around the time they had ladies night and the music is always bomb. We sat in a boot and I got the fajitas as always, and she got the chicken adobo quesadilla. It is located in the Windermere/Hamlin area near Homestead brewery and Ford's garage. 10/10 I believe Crystal was on server; She was amazing.

Agave Bandido wasn't the best restaurant I've been to, but definitely not the worst either--it just felt kind of middle-of-the-road. I ordered the mahi-mahi, and I'll give credit where it's due: the fish itself was excellent. It was flavorful, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, the rice it came with didn't match that quality at all. It tasted like it had been sitting for a while and was just reheated--kind of hard and not a great pairing with such a soft, well-cooked fish. I also tried the steak with chimichurri, which was really good. The meats that the restaurant serves seems to be where they shine--well-seasoned and full of flavor. But again, the sides didn't hold up. The yuca fries tasted like they had either been over-fried or refried, giving them a slightly stale taste. Overall, the drinks were good and the service was solid, which I appreciated. But the inconsistency between the mains and sides was a bit of a turn-off. I might come back if I'm in the area, but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again.

I have to give this place a 10/10 The churrasco was one of the best churrasco I have ever had. It was amazingly seasoned, the rice was amazing. This is the best dish i've had in a long time. The staff is amazing as well!

You ever walk into a place and think, "Oh yeah... this is about to be the one"? Like the kind of spot where you mentally start drafting your five-star review before the chips even hit the table? That was me at Agave Bandito. Warm welcome. Smiles all around. The kind of energy that makes you feel like you just got invited to a party you didn't even know you were cool enough to attend. Then you look around... and yeah, they got it right. Especially the outside. Kewl, laid-back, margarita-in-hand kind of vibe. The type of place where time slows down just enough for you to order another round you didn't plan on. And then... plot twist. Let's talk about the hero of the night first, because it deserves its own spotlight. The tableside guacamole. Pro tip, no actually--mandatory move: get it. They make it right there, dial it in to your taste, and for a brief shining moment, everything makes sense in the world again. The chips? Light seasoning, maybe a little tajín action going on. Crunchy, bright, addictive. This is the part where you lean back and say: "Okay... now THIS is what I came for." And that line right there? That's the peak. Because after that... things start to drift. The yucca fries showed up like they forgot why they were invited. No salt. No pop. Just... present. My burrito? Massive. Impressive. The kind of portion that makes you feel like you got a deal. But flavor-wise? It felt like it was holding back. Like it had a personality in there somewhere but decided not to share it. Then the plantains... man. Visually, they were flirting with greatness. But one bite in and you realize they leaned a little too hard into the char. Borderline burnt... and somehow still missing flavor. That's a tough combo to pull off. Micro twist? I kept going back to the chips and guac like it was going to fix everything. It didn't. But I respected the effort. Here's the thing. This place wants to be great. You can feel it. The vibe is there. The service is there. The setup is honestly a home run. But the food? It just never quite shows up to match the energy. And that's what makes this one sting a little. Because Agave Bandito isn't bad. It's just... average in a place that's begging to be memorable. Three stars. Tons of potential. Just waiting on the flavor to catch up.

Today, I finally got to check out Agave Bandido as I am fairly new to the area. I had been to the restaurant next door but this place really caught my eye. The place is beautifully decorated inside and out. I went for lunch but there were main guests sitting outside enjoying their meals. I chose to outside with my friends since the weather was nice. Our server was very attentive. We started out with complementary chips and salsa and chose to get the tropicoco martini and the hibiscus coconut margarita (pictured). My friend got tacos, and I got an adobo chicken chimichanga. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were big. We definitely left full and happy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Friends say this was the best Mexican place but I don't agree. It was ok. Our server was great. She kept the chips and salsa coming. My chicken enchiladas was missing some sort of flavor. Sangria no notes. I would come back and try it again.

We came in for Taco Tuesday, and absolutely loved the atmosphere! There is outdoor and indoor seating, a very cool bar and pur server Drew was phenomenal! I had the combo tacos which included carnitas, steak and shrimp. My favorite was the shrimp. Maddie had the steak quesadilla and she really enjoyed it. The vibe is very cool here as well - interesting lamps, seating and colors.

OMG! The food and service was amazing! Our server was Isas and she was so friendly and helpful with suggestions on the menu. I had the smash burger which had guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, and fried jalapenos along with tajin fries....so yummy. My husband had the burrito bowl with carnitas. Isas suggested the cilantro lime rice instead of the Mexican rice and she was right! So tasty. The restaurant had beautiful murals painted on the wall. There is a large, cozy, covered outdoor area to eat and relax. We will definitely be back again and hopefully, Isas will be our server as well!

Wow! This was my first visit and it was on Cinco De Mayo and I was blown away. We were thankfully able to snag a reservation the afternoon of Cinco De Mayo. They had a whole portion of the parking lot roped off for the holiday. The restaurant set up tents with employees selling food and drinks outside for those who couldn't get a reservation which was super cool and they had a DJ. We had a nice cozy table right next to the bar. Our waiter, Drew, was fantastic and so attentive. My friend and I were slow on making decisions regarding drinks and food and he kept checking on us while we perused the menu. I was shocked by how often he came to check on us with how busy the restaurant was. He was constantly bringing drinks refills and making sure we didn't need anything. The food was fantastic. They had a special menu just for the holiday. My friend and I decided to share everything so we could try more food. For drinks we got the ancho pineapple infused tequila shot, the spicy avocado margarita, and the mezcalita. All were delicious. The spicy avocado margarita was my favorite. For food, we did tableside guac, the chopped chicken salad, yucca fries, and tostones. I would order this exact meal again. It was the perfect amount of food and such a fun variety of flavors and textures.

We live in the area and come often. Today we were surprised by a Mariachi band!! So awesome!!! I ordered a beef burrito which was fantastic and plenty of food for me. My wife ordered the chicken nachos...she loved the chicken here!! Our server was fantastic as well!! Great place for sure!!

The ambiance was absolutely beautiful--warm, inviting, and the perfect setting for what we hoped would be a great meal. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try the food. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes without anyone approaching our table. Several servers looked in our direction, but no one acknowledged us or let us know that someone would be coming by soon. The greeter who seated us also seemed unhappy to be there, offering no smile or welcoming energy, which set the tone for the experience. Considering the restaurant wasn't busy and it was right at lunchtime (around 1 PM), the lack of service was especially disappointing. We were genuinely looking forward to trying this place, but the service fell short from the very start.

The food was okay. nothing very special. It felt like eating at a large food chain, and the service wasn't extraordinary. Everyone was nice, but it was more of a "eat and get out" type of experience. (We ended up going to another place for dessert just because the food was blah) The place is very pretty. They really went all out with the theme and decoration

Chips and salsa. Such a bummer that in this nice ambience the salsa came in a plastic to go container.

As someone who loves mini golf, not having to drive 30 minutes to the closest PopStroke anymore--and instead just 5 minutes--is a total game changer. The course itself absolutely delivers. It's designed to be fun, social, and approachable, not overly difficult. Think smooth carpet greens, sand traps, and enclosed hills around each hole that actually encourage creative shots--rolling the ball off the slopes and lining up sneaky hole-in-one attempts. It's mini golf that rewards imagination more than precision, which makes it perfect for families and groups. Yes, it was very busy, but honestly? PopStroke crushed the layout. Even with five of us playing, we were never stuck waiting. As soon as we finished one hole, we flowed right into the next. The pacing was smooth and surprisingly efficient for how crowded it was. One of my favorite parts is how social this place feels. You get your own golf ball, there's great food and drinks, and the setup encourages you to hang out--not rush through. There are bean bag games, foosball, and a fantastic bar, and the best part? Drinks are delivered directly to you on the course. Every hole even has built-in drink holders everywhere, which feels like such a small detail but makes a huge difference. Pricing is $25 per round, but there's also a $25/month unlimited yearly membership, which honestly feels like a steal if you live nearby (and especially if you've got kids or love entertaining friends). Fair warning: this isn't a quick in-and-out experience. Between golfing, eating, drinking, and just hanging out, you'll be here a while--but that's kind of the magic. It turns into quality time with friends and family, and that's exactly what PopStroke is designed for. Hamlin keeps adding great spots, and PopStroke might be one of my favorites yet. Mini golf + food + drinks + a welcoming vibe = a total home run. Families are going to love this place, and I already can't wait to go back.

The menu is pretty small. I think that the menu seemed confused; is this a tiki bar? Is it a rum bar? Is it a Mexican place? That being said, there was definitely something for everyone on that menu. I loved my drink, which was gin based. We got two rounds and enjoyed the ambiance. I was a little confused about the Christmas decorations though, they felt very out of place. I'm in the opinion that if you can't do a proper Christmas overlay, leave the decorations at the door, and we have so many Christmas overlays dow here that it all feels redundant and lost in the noise. I'd definitely go back here with a friend or a few for some good conversation. One note I have for them is add coat or purse racks somewhere. For such a new bar, I was surprised that there was nowhere to put my jacket.
