Great Brunch in Orlando! It is my third time going now and the service, food, and ambiance are a 10/10.

I absolutely love this place. The ambiance is beautiful. The server was super sweet and attentive and the food was so delicious! I attended for brunch with a few friends and we had an amazing time. Everything I tasted was delicious. I had the French toast with eggs and bacon 10/10. The pork belly with the garlic aioli was out of this world good! I had a very nice experience here. There are tons of seats outside along the sidewalk. The bar area is a little small, but NCAA basketball games were on. It was Happy Hour when I came so I loaded up on some apps and drinks. Happy Hour is 3-6pm Every Day and Friday-Saturday 10pm-11pm 25% off all appetizers, signature mules, signature cocktails, wines by the glass. $7 Mules all day Monday. Up first, the $9.75 sticky pork belly. I liked this dish. Not a huge fan of pork, but the flavor was on point. Then, I tried a $9.75 soft pretzel. Mmmmmm so delicious. I love when pretzel bread is actually good, like this one. For the main course, I had the $18 Stubborn Mule Burger. This thing is super tall, and will barely fit in your mouth. Super juicy and really good. The brussels weren't nearly charred or hard enough for me. Wouldn't get those again. For the drink, I tried a $9.75 Smoked & Mezzy. Super strong ginger beer taste. A friend told me he had made braised lamb for his folks and all of a sudden that's all I wanted too. After searching through a few restaurants, I landed on this one and thought they had an interesting menu with outdoor seating so why not visit. Turns out, I was one of the few solo diners lol which might explain my slower service, but I had time so didn't make a fuss. The food was served quickly and every dish that passed by looked just as yummy. I definitely want to go back and try some other dishes because this was delicious. read more

Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. We had a reservation but it appeared we didn't need it. There were a few open tables. We sat at a regular table- I was in heels and was not interested in a bar top. Kayla was our server. She was great. We got waters real fast and then had time to look over the menu. I was torn between the raspberry and the pear mule. She said the raspberry was her favorite - so I had that. It was tasty and not too strong on the ginger beer. My husband had the smoked and Mezzy cocktail which was tasty- he let me have a sip. We started with the mussels. The broth was so good I asked to have the broth boxed up after we ate all the mussels. It was a good portion and they did not overcook them. They were large and juicy! The bread was delicious. Soaked up the sauce nicely. For dinner we split the burger (medium- yes!) with an added fried egg, with every penny (surcharge $1.50) and we split the "Let's Eat Cake" entree which is a salmon cake over risotto with their fish of the day which happened to be swordfish. The swordfish was not overcooked. It flaked very nicely. The fish and "cake" were balanced by the saltiness of the Parmesan risotto. So good. For our side, we chose garlic broccolini. It was a good portion and tasty. Overall, food was awesome. Our server apologized that our dinners came out while we still had our appetizer but it's ok. We were not trying to have a long dinner. We were fine to have it all quickly. We wished we ordered dessert as it looked amazing but it was late and we cheated our diets all week- so it's time to tighten up. Always a good experience here. The food is good. Really good. Loud atmosphere though so I'd say not great for a first date. Every plate we ordered was SO GOOD. My family's favorite were the Korean bbq short ribs. I couldn't stop eating it even though I was so full! The get shorty meal was also really good. I got the razzle dazzle mule which is one of their signature drinks and it did not disappoint. We liked looking around and the different artwork they have in the place. I've dined here a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed myself every single visit. The spot has a dope, stylish vibe. Inside, you've got rich wood floors, a matching wood ceiling, and warm lighting that gives it a grounded, lodge meets grown bar feel. As nice as the interior is, I decided to sit outside since the sunset was too good to pass up. Every time I've come, the staff has been attentive, friendly, and on point with recommendations. It was happy hour when I pulled up, so of course I went a little crazy on the half off appetizers. I'm a sucker for a good happy hour lol. I went here for lunch with my coworkers and we had a great experience overall. We started off with the elote hummus, it was a pretty interesting combination but it was good. For our meals we had a couple of flatbreads, a salad and a salmon dish. We all liked what we picked, the portions were fulfilling. We didn't order any drinks so I can share my experience with that. If you want to wait, this is your place. My husband and I arrived here at 6 for dinner and were told it would be a 45 minute wait and then got seated outside over an hour later. And it was so cold. We were so hungry so gave our appetizer and dinner order immediately. Our pork belly appetizer didn't arrive till another hour later. The server was very sweet about this and put it on the house. But then it was another 15 minutes till our burgers came. The food was good but just not worth it for the wait. Called this place to make sure there was time to walk in and order food for brunch since brunch hours weren't really listed anywhere. Confirmed the time and was going to make it - said should be good to order food up until 2:15p and even has the sign outside to confirm it Walked in at 2p, waited a bit, then hostess came by and the said brunch is over but I mentioned I called before coming and the sign said 215. Wanting to get brunch items and stay for happy hour apps which is from 3 - 3:30p. It was at most 10 minutes past 3p and they're sold out of it already? She blamed the other table for ordering the limit amounts of the rolls (like 3 orders, I believe she said) instead of just not coming by in time so I could have at least ordered 1 to try it right at 3p when I already mentioned to her I wanted to order happy hour items at the beginning of our whole experience there. So I wasn't happy about that bc it was the main reason to stay through happy hour. Annoyed by the server blaming customers for ordering all limited orders of the shroom rolls and the kitchen for not having enough prepared for happy hour Got the salmon cakes and bruschetta and those were fine. This place is very cute and perfect for brunch. We had a 20min wait due to it being sunday brunch but that was no problem. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and waited. Our server from the bar ended up being our server. The service was a little slow once we were seated at the table. But the food made up for it. The food was really good. The nachos were my least favorite due to it not being layered. Once you got to the bottom it was just chips. An absolutely must order are the pork belly bites! How have I lived here 8 years and never been to the Mule?! This place is great. Right off of Lake Eola. Great neighborhood. Amazing bar and patio. And the food? Wow, really elevated bar food. The smashburger was made with brisket which gave it this incredible beefy flavor. Topped with some excellent american melty cheese. And then some wilted arugula and caramelized onions to provide some sweetness to cut through the savory. Might be my favorite burger in Orlando now that Teak is gone. Next, look at that salmon salad. The salmon could be served anywhere as a main entree. Fantastic. And the salad is huge with a ton of variety in there. As Arnold said, I'll be back! read more

I visited the stubborn mule on a Sunday morning for brunch with one of my friends. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The service throughout our meal was very good and consistent. I ordered the Benedict di Parma. The first time it came out, the eggs yolks were hard, so I ultimately sent it back, but they got it right the second time, and it was delicious. The chive aioli and the prosciutto and the hollandaise were such a good combination. I would absolutely order this again, it was just delicious. I also got a side of the cheesy grits and they were cooked to perfection, and they definitely didn't hold back on the cheese! I also got two of their spicy bloody Mary's and they were delicious. I had previously had a not so great experience here for brunch, but on this visit they honestly nailed it. It's hard to find good sit down brunch in Orlando, so this place is definitely getting added to my regular rotation. read more

Our family has dined here quite a few times. We try to always come on mule Monday as we love mules, they have the best selection, and on Mondays they are only $7! Service is typically good, some visits have been better than others. Usually I'm a steak person but their NY strip was a miss for me. We've gotten all the burgers many times and they've always been exceptionally good! Their fries are also great fries, with and without rosemary parmesan. Kids meals are all $12 and don't include a drink... I do wish they were a little more generous with the kids entree. My 6 and 3 year old are both always hungry after 2 chicken strips. We have been twice for birthdays and they brought out a brownie sundae for us both times. First time it was amazing, hot and soft and delicious. Second time (pictured) it was mediocre (but the gesture was still very appreciated). On nice evenings we love the spacious patio seating. Some of the art inside is a bit creepy and makes the kids uncomfortable so another win for outside. They are typically busy, the bar is always full, but service has never been too slow. read more

I've been here several times now. I've had all their burgers and they were all excellent. Fries are delicious. I have also had their steak meal deal that came with ribs and a desert and everything tasted excellent. It is on the pricier side but I feel the portions were reasonably sized. I like the ambiance overall. They do have some eccentric art on the wall which takes away from the ambiance IMO. Service has always been good. Decided to come here for brunch after always seeing it busy on the weekends, and it did not disappoint. The waffle burger was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. I went with the Fresh Catch BLT, and while the fish was good, the bacon kind of ruined it for me--super chewy and rubbery, which threw the whole thing off. My wife got the "What Came First," and that one was a winner--really tasty and well put together. She had her eye on the Purple Rain cocktail, but they were out of the gin they use for it. How do you run out of the key ingredient of a specialty drink?? Our server suggested the Razzle Dazzle instead, and even though it wasn't her first pick, it ended up being a solid choice. For drinks I had the tropical mule and my wife had a mimosa and then a raspberry mojito. All the drinks were on point! That tropical mule was excellent and it would be my go to if I ever go back. We were seated in the back which was quieter but the place was already busy. Food was good but after our appetizers it took quite a while to get our entrees. Since it's a mile and a half from the Kia Center, my family and I chose to have a casual dinner here before the Andrea Bocelli concert. The ambiance is a no frills, cozy bar vibe. We had a reservation for 5:45pm, but arrived early to a bustling restaurant. With the rain mere minutes from pouring down, I went to the host stand and got checked in on the off chance we could be seated early. They were able to accommodate us which was great! Our waitress met us at our table and introduced herself. Funny enough, her name is Miya! Immediately, my twin sister confirmed "Wait, did you say your name is Miya? My name is Myah! And her [points to me] name is Kyja (pronounced "Kaya")." So cool, as we rarely meet anyone who shares either of our names. Miya was very attentive and kind! She made sure we had everything we needed! To drink, I decided to get a "Stubborn Mule" signature Moscow Mule, for the experience because "when in Rome..." It was nice to see a non-alcoholic "mocktail" version as well inside their cocktail menu, which is what my sister got since she doesn't drink. We ordered several food items for our table to share. For an appetizer, we got the pretzel rolls, which comes with honey mustard as well as pepper jack fondue. This was one of the stars of the show! It usually comes with 3 rolls, but we paid extra to get a 4th roll since there were 4 of us. We also asked for extra pepper jack fondue because it was so good and had come in a smaller portioned cup. My sister and a family friend each got a bowl of the soup of the day which was "bacon potato." I think because we expected a creamy white soup with chunks of potatoes, it caught us off guard when we received an orange soup with kind of a grittiness to it. Personally, I thought it tasted really good, but it wasn't what they were expecting/hoping for. I thought the pimento grilled cheese sounded good, so I got one of those to split with my mom, along with choice of side. We chose the rosemary Parmesan fries. I didn't detect rosemary, but they definitely had Parmesan on them and wow were they tasty! One of the best items today, up there with the pretzels. The fries were perfectly hot and crispy! The grilled cheese was also very yummy, stuffed with cooked zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms, and the perfect slathering of pimento. We also shared two flatbreads for the table: the southwest chicken and the hot honey apple with prosciutto added. The southwest chicken was really good. I loved the smokey chipotle aioli on top that gave a nice spice kick. My favorite between the two though was the hot honey apple. All the flavors came together so nicely on it! It was a lotttttt of food that we were sorry not to be able to pack up and take home due to our concert, but we had wanted the variety of taste treats since it was our first time here! No regrets! This is my second visit to the stubborn meal and this one even talked the first time the food is amazing. The staff is friendly and informative, and the drinks are poor generously. The venue is rather small so I suggest you make reservations if you do so it's a quick and easy seating arrangement with no hassle or headache at all. They have plenty of street parking, but you may have to circle a few times to find something if you walk one block up, there is a paid parking garage. That's definitely worth it and there's no hassle and it's close enough that you can walk it with ease but if you're wearing heels, I would suggest you keep them modest. The decor is cutie. I definitely enjoyed the dinner experience during the week than the brunch that I went the first time for it on a weekend, but take that as you may I'm just not one for crowds. read more

Went to the Stubborn Mule with some friends yesterday. It was a very nice experience! We started off with some drinks called "Take Me To Church". They were good and would recommend. The only thing for me it was a little on the sweet side. We then had Smashed Mule Burger, Waffle Burger and an order of Sticky Pork Belly. The food was delicious and would recommend these for anyone looking for a tasteful burgers. We then. Finished off with our drinks with some Mango Margaritas and a Makers Mark.
