    Steak tacos
    Tamara B.

The food was really good across the board. The grilled steak tacos were delicious and very consistent, just how they should be. I also ordered the fried snapper, and I was happy to see it back to a nice sized portion. It had been smaller before, but this time it was a decent sized fish and absolutely delicious. We had a great time dining with the family. Our waitress was super on point very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. The restaurant was also nice and clean, which I really appreciate. Overall, a solid experience and I'll definitely be back.

The warm ambiance and music first greeted me when I walked it. I have been a few times before for both dine in and take out. The flavors today did not disappoint. We ordered a side of guacamole as an appetizer and lemonades to drink. What I want to highlight is the Salmon Mariscada. It was so so good. The sauce was amazing. I didn't want to waste a drop. I would buy a few bottles if they sold that sauce by the bottle. The staff was attentive and checked in periodically. I would definitely return and have the Salmon Mariscada next time I visit.

Small chain Mexican restaurant located in West Orlando just a few miles from infamous "Crime Hills" area. Not sure how authentic it is but the food here is pretty decent. Been here a few times with some colleagues for grub and margaritas. Drinks are delicious and strong. Everytime I've dined here, I ordered the arroz con pollo (chicken and rice) with mushrooms in a tomato based stew. This is my go to dish when I'm indecisive but it always hits the spot. Portions are pretty generous and makes for great leftovers. If you're in the area and want something comforting, give them a try.

Meh. Nothing to write home about here. Chips and salsa were good. I ordered the chicken flour flautas and they came out as what looked like and tasted like corn tortillas.. I did verify that they were flour, just didn't have that lighter crops that I prefer. The shell was hard crunchy and they weren't great. The marg was on HH so that's nice but I couldn't drink it, too much sweet sour mix.. ugh. Service was fine. I feel like I've had lunch at another location and a different order which was much better

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. We started with margaritas; I got a flight and he got a standard margarita in a huge glass. The flight was great and came with a firecracker, which was a delightful touch. I especially liked the spicy pineapple margarita, which is a favorite of mine. Dinner was also delicious. We started with the queso and then went on to dinner: I had the soup and elotes (I am an elotes fanatic) while my husband enjoyed his birria tacos. Everything was delicious and very big portions, so we left satisfied. This is not super fancy but rather traditional Mexican food options done right, and that absolutely made it hit the spot. We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Service was quick but not rushed, and they were busy but not slammed. On a Friday night, they had a live mariachi band roaming around playing music and singing. Such a nice touch! Also, the restaurant itself is in a great spot and decorated festively. I'd definitely return again!

We have been coming to Azteca for two plus years in winter garden and on colonial which is close to our house. We love the one in winter garden and will frequent the one on colonial because of proximity. Unfortunately the last couple time it has been extremely noisy you can barely carry on a conversation. Ok I let it go because it's close!! Stopped today after an event and it's fairly busy but the waitress was on her game taking care of us and proceeds to take our order which we pretty much get the same thing every time which is 3 tacos dinner. Although this time we were told we cannot mix our tacos aka two carnitas and one carne Asada which we have done multiple times over the past two years. Jerry said no can't do that... huh we have done it I don't know how many times but Jerry said no sooooo it is what it is! Obviously the food, experience, service can very from franchise to franchise :/ .....good thing as a customer we have choices and this establishment will not be on the list any longer. Thank you Jerry Jerri or what ever it is ;)

    Boy are these margaritas delish!

Food is good, however, their prices have gone up exponentially. Choosing when to visit, if ever.

I haven't been to azteca in a long time. So we decided to stop in for my birthday lunch. It was not busy and our server was great! The food was fresh and hot. I got the chimichanga and a margarita flight neither disappointed. My best friend got the fried snapper which she said was very good and she got a top shelf margarita which she said was prepared perfectly and was very smooth. They also had a woman pressing fresh tortillas which I loved. I would absolutely come back to try more items and take advantage of their 2-4-1 drink specials

Super chill spot for some good Mexican food! I've been a couple of times and each time was great. Drinks were good! Absolutely love a good happy hour, and the taco Tuesday deals ! Servers are knowledgeable and manager also stopped by to check on everything

Went to the movies and figured we would stop by on the way home. The service was meh and the food was lack luster. I felt left out the entire time. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and we had to walk inside and ask others to bring our waitress back. This was my first experience here and my last. I asked about the happy hour and was given the menu without any context. When I asked what the difference was in drinks since the price was the same, the waitress told me it was 2 for 1 with the most unnecessary attitude. I had to explain that it was my first time and she then let up. We also thought there was a hair in the food and when we asked the waitress to clarify, she said, "I don't think it's a hair" with uncertainty. We figured it wasn't a hair and she at least offered to remake the food but she should be more certain in cases like this. Won't come back but if you may like it. It doesn't blow your socks off but it's decent.

Always a good night for Azteca!!! Shrimp & tequila chowder and tacos Al carbon, for the win!! And the Cadillac margarita sitting proudly next to the tamarindo margarita. Just to make it proper!

WOW WOW WOW! This is a hidden gem fr! Honestly when we tasted the salsa we KNEW we were in for a good time. The food was amazing, drinks were soo good we got the 2-4-1 house margs. I'm shook. The food was seasoned so well. We got queso, Parrillada, passion fruit and peach marg. Plenty of food great price especially compared to the mid touristy places throughout Orlando. A new staple whenever we're up this way!

The family and I wanted to go somewhere for dinner and naturally we all agreed with Mexican, duh!!!! We all ordered something different....tacos, burritos, nachos but there's something magical that happens in my spirit when I see the sizzling dance on my plate as fajitas come out the kitchen so thats what I got and it was *chefs kiss* I also ordered the margarita flight which had 4 margaritas for $18 (I mean seriously - jumps in glee). It had a Tamarindo, Dragon Fruit, Coconut, and Watermelon Margarita....SO GOOD!!! Honestly writing this review makes me want to go back so you know they won me over. Make sure to check them out!!!

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

When I sat down, I ordered the frozen Margarita flight, which came with a watermelon, mango, and strawberry Margarita. All of them were pretty good, but by far the mango was my favorite. It tasted just like you were drinking mango nectar. For my entrée, I ordered the Carne Asada tacos. They had such a great taste, and the portion size was quite generous. I ordered it with rice and beans, and it all left me feeling quite full. The atmosphere is also quite nice. With it being in the heart of downtown orlando, I thought it might be loud and busy in there, but it was actually quite quiet and relaxing. The service was also very quick and prompt to get all of our food. Our waitress made sure to check in with us throughout service to see what we needed!

When we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty, there was no hostess, and we had to wait to be acknowledged. Our server (a Hispanic woman with heavy goth-style makeup--I didn't catch her name) was polite enough, but there were several missed opportunities to improve the experience. The biggest issue was that they were out of multiple menu items we specifically came to try. We had also planned on ordering the duck-themed cocktail that was pictured online, only to be told, "We don't do that anymore." If that's the case, the menu and promotional photos should really be updated. Food: * Chicken Nachos - 3/10: Mostly burnt chips with hard, unmelted cheese. There was barely any chicken, and they lacked flavor. * Watermelon Margarita - 0/10: It was extremely sour. I sent it back and ordered a frozen margarita instead. * Frozen Margarita - Average at best. What was frustrating is that happy hour started about seven minutes later, and our server never mentioned that nearly everything we ordered would have been half-price. A heads-up would have been appreciated. * Street Corn - 6/10: The tableside presentation of cutting it off the cob was nice, but that's really what you're paying for. It could have used much more seasoning, and only two small pieces of corn were served. * Shrimp Tacos - 2/10 * Fish Tacos - 2/10: Both were soggy and lacked flavor. * Spanish Rice - 1/10: Bland and disappointing. Overall, the food was underwhelming, several advertised menu items and drinks weren't available, and the service missed opportunities to enhance the experience. For the prices, I expected much better quality, better communication about happy hour, and a menu that matched what was actually being offered. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.
