Been coming here since I was a little kid with my dad and have been knowing the owner ever since. He is always on top of everything. Treating each customer the way they should be treated. Usually with a big smile and a handshake. The prices are also very reasonable compared to many places nearby. If you're in the south sacramento area and need any tire/wheel work done I recommend this place. They are pretty full sometimes in the afternoon so you might have to wait but it goes by fast.

Took car to swap rims. They were handled horribly & ended up w/ chips! Don't waste time or $ w/ this shady place. We will be reporting them.

Don't waste your time with this shady place. We took some new rims there to have them swapped and my son ended up telling them to be careful the way they were handling them. They didn't care and ended up chipping them and of course denied it. I talked to the manager that's in charge of their locations and he acted like he cared and said he'd get back to me which never happened so we will resort to reporting them to State agencies. Save your money and time time. Doubt they pay taxes either since they just throw the money in their pocket and want cash.

Great fast service. Seems to be the cheapest around town. Friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Been coming here for years for tire replacement and fixes.

Good services and do great job, with fast services at times when it's not busy but they get through their customers in timely matter still

Quickly closing in on two years of ownership, the honeymoon phase with my car has not worn off. My…read moreonly complaint is the run-flat performance tires that create a fairly rough ride. As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. If you're looking for competitive prices and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend visiting South West Tire Shop!

Honest Mechanic Alert…read more As someone who has written plenty of Yelp reviews over the years, I don't throw around praise lightly--but this shop absolutely deserves it. My entire family brings our vehicles here, and for good reason. If you can, ask for Ali. He's handled everything for us, from routine maintenance to larger repairs, and the work has consistently been solid and reliable. For context, this shop is essentially maintaining a fleet of vehicles for our family business, and they've earned that trust through honest assessments and fair pricing. I also know my way around a vehicle, so I can tell when someone is being straightforward versus trying to upsell--and I've never had that issue here. Yes, the current economy means car repairs everywhere feel a bit more expensive than they used to. But what you're paying for here is transparency, quality work, and excellent customer service--and that's hard to beat. If you're looking for a mechanic you can actually trust, this place is worth checking out.

What was most disappointing wasn't even the noise itself--it was the response when I returned to the shop. I was told that "all cars do that" and that I would need to pay for a diagnostic. No one offered to recheck the wheel installation, inspect their work, or verify that the vehicle was safe to drive. I'm not claiming the shop caused the problem, but mistakes can happen during any service. Tire installations and rotations involve human work, and I expected at least a basic inspection when a new noise appeared immediately after the service. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. As a customer, it's frustrating to leave wondering whether the vehicle is safe to drive and feeling like no effort was made to investigate the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Don't go here please go across the street your safety is very important!!!!! Thank you for your response. To clarify, my concern was never that a tire rotation requires disassembly of suspension or steering components. My concern was that a knocking noise appeared immediately after the tire installation and rotation, despite the vehicle not exhibiting this symptom beforehand. I did not ask for a free suspension diagnosis. I asked that the shop verify the work that had just been performed. As a customer, I expected basic checks such as wheel torque, wheel seating, and tire clearance before being directed toward a paid diagnostic service. Had someone simply said, "Let's double-check our work first and make sure everything related to the tire service looks correct," I likely would have had a very different impression of the experience. I understand that the noise may ultimately be unrelated to the tire service. However, when a new symptom appears immediately after service, I believe it is reasonable for a customer to expect the work performed to be verified before additional charges are discussed. Make an appointment here. This will save you time!…read more This place gets super packed on the weekends. I make an appointment every time and they let me in promptly. I usually get my tires from Costco but it's always packed there. The pricing here is comparable so I decided to buy tires here instead since the wait isn't as bad. The service is 5/5. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable. The waiting area has about 10 comfy chairs. It might be hard to find a seat if it's packed. You can walk across the parking to Wal Mart and get some shopping done while you wait. It takes about 45 min to get your car back for a tire rotation.

I brought my vehicle in for a tire appointment after a recent safety inspection that found no issues with my lug nuts or wheel studs, only that I needed new tires due to dry rot. During the appointment, I was told the technicians could not remove the front lug nuts and that I would need to take the vehicle elsewhere. After leaving the store, I immediately noticed a wobble that had not been present before the appointment. When I got home, I discovered a lug nut was missing. I contacted the store and was put in touch with Assistant Manager Gregory. I was told they would "only pay for one lug nut." Which is all that I noticed was missing at the time. The following day, another repair shop inspected the vehicle and found extensive damage that ultimately resulted in over $1,100 in repair costs. What made the situation even worse was the claims process. It took multiple attempts just to get a claim started and obtain a claim number. Communication was poor, updates were difficult to get, and I often felt like I was the one doing all the follow-up. Despite providing documentation, repair invoices, and a detailed timeline, the process dragged on for more than two months. After months of waiting, countless follow-up attempts, and being led to believe the matter would be addressed, my claim was denied and I was offered only $100 as a customer service gesture. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company handles them. Had there been transparency, timely communication, and accountability, I likely would have walked away with a very different opinion. Instead, I was left with a repair bill exceeding $1,100, months of frustration, and a claims process that felt unnecessarily difficult from start to finish. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location or this company.
