Zack the owner was contracted to replace the vinyl strip on shower door and floor base. He replaced strip on door and stated I did not need one on base. I contacted him letting him know water is coming underneath shower door. He returned and added a plastic silver strip at base. I contacted him and let him know water was still flowing underneath shower door. His response was I will get a vinyl strip and replace. I contacted him on several occasions and he has yet to follow through. He always has an excuse; I need to order strip, strip has not arrived yet. read more

And then canceled last minute due to accidentally breaking the shower door. He rescheduled for today 10/12 and never showed to install the door. He ignored my mothers' numerous texts and phone calls. I am starting to believe this company and Zach are a scam!! I ordered and payed $1850 via zelle to Zach, for a simple shower door on 8/1/2023 and my door has not been installed. I tried calling, texting and emailing with no answer. On 9/13 I got an email stating my door would be installed between 1-2, we are from overseas and we don't live in the apartment, so I told the manager to open and they never arrived. We were in DC the next week and called, they answered and told us one part was missing and they would call back. They never did. We went to their warehouse twice just to find a handwritten note on the door saying they were out and would come back 9/25. We drove over that day too and still closed. Better Business Bureau finally got back to us and said they have contacted the company multiple times and had no luck getting our deposit back. They suggested we hire a lawyer, but that would cost more than the $250 deposit. We continue to contact AGC regularly, sometimes they tell us again that the "check is in the mail," but most times they don't respond at all. BBB did say my complaint would go on their site. I know a few others have posted issues here about poor experiences. Perhaps adding another report to BBB would help protect others in the future. read more

Yelp doesn't let me give partial stars, or I'd probably have awarded a low 3.5. At any rate, after a recent deluge, I discovered that one of my insulated windows had lost the seal between panes, allowing water to penetrate my bay window. The Monday following that water-event, I hit up Yelp to see who I should call to see about rectifying the situation. I found that AGC was both close and highly-rated (prior to my review, they were 5-stars on four of four reviews). So, I contacted AGC via their web site. Not long after leaving my information, I was called by Zak to see when I was available for a quote. This was around 15:00 that same Monday. I figured that, especially with the recent storm, I was looking at a few days to a week for an appointment. Instead, Zak was able to see me that same evening. Score points for availability. Zak arrived within the agreed upon window - no mean feat when having to navigate evening traffic near where I live. Score points for promptness. He did a quick survey of the situation and offered me a fair price for the work and an attractive estimate for when the glass would likely be ready for install. I agreed to the work and handed him my card so that he could use his phone app to take the deposit. Score points for pricing, scheduling and being able to get the ball rolling. He told me to expect a receipt for the deposit and the work order that evening and that we'd probably be able to get the work knocked out before week's end. Time got by me. I didn't really notice till Sunday evening that the week was gone. I hadn't heard from his scheduler, hadn't received a receipt. I checked my credit card's website and found that the deposit had indeed posted the next business day. Crap. Have I been fly-by-nighted? At any rate, hit their website again to send a "WTF" message. I was eventually contacted Monday morning. Apparently the crews had been working an out of state job over the weekend. I was also told that the info HAD been sent. A search of my gmail account revealed that no messages had arrived - not to my Inbox, not to any filter folders, not to my Junk folder. I'm hoping that what happened was someone hit send and hadn't noticed that their Outbox count was stuck. Still, wasn't very assuring. Zak was ultimately the one dispatched to do the work. He arrived and discovered that the windows were slightly more complicated than what he could do by himself. We agreed that he would come back later in the week with an assistant to help with the work. I was on PTO that week and had flexibility in my schedule. Based on the scheduling we'd agreed to, I was expecting a morning return. Apparently, one of their teams had an absence and resulted in schedules getting screwed. Instead of a morning return, I had to wait until nightfall of that evening. Yeah, I was on PTO, but waiting around all day with no meaningful communication caused me to waste a day off. Not cool. Zak and his crewmate arrived that evening. They got the old window out of the framework and popped the old glass out of its frame. While putting the new glass-sandwich into the frame, one of the shims caused one of the panes to crack in two places. Fortunately, it was just cracks and not a full-on break, as the weather had turned cold, that day. I wasn't pleased, but "shit happens". Zak indicated it would probably take a few days to get another sandwich fabricated. Probably wouldn't be able to get it in before the week's end, but that they'd call either way. It got to the end of the week with no further contact initiated by AGC. I called late Friday morning to ask whether they were going to be able to get things done that night. I was informed by their phone-handler that they'd call me back later that day. The remainder of the day came and went without a call. Communications issues seemed to be a running-theme. I'd have to wait till Monday to re-initiate contact since I was going out of town for the weekend. I called from my office, Monday. Spoke to the receptionist, again, giving her a number to reach me at (since, previously, everything had been via my cell phone). I was assured they'd contact me that afternoon with updated scheduling. Wary of this "we'll call you" treatment, I asked "if you somehow can't reach me by phone, email or SMS me". No call. No email. No SMS. Finally got in touch with AGC again, Tuesday and scheduled for them to come out between 17:00 and 18:00 tonight. Zak and his crewmate arrived well within the scheduled window, calling me when they were 15 minutes out. Ok - at least communications happens sometimes. Zak and his crewmate were pretty decent with that - especially given that they had to cram contact in between actual work. They were able to get the second sandwich mounted and the whole shebang buttoned up in about half an hour. At time to settle-up, Zak lopped $25 off to make up for the scheduling issues and overall long resolution time. Communications aside it was an ok experience. read more

I recently hired AGC to install two frame less sliding glass shower doors. They came in at a very reasonable price and installed 5 days after we signed the contract. Compared to other bids we had, they delivered the best price and fastest installation. They delivered more than asked too. We ordered a 60 inch for our second bath and 72 inch shower door for the master. On the day of install Zak (owner) showed up with 65 inch glass for the second bathroom. I'm 6'6" and he said he got a deal on the glass and since I'm so tall he threw in the taller glass. Install was done professionally and the doors look great. AGC Glass are a smaller family owned business. If you're looking to always speak with the owner and get right down to business negotiating a good price and for quick installation, then use them. read more

These guys are great for your glass fabrication and installion needs. I first used them when I ordered a framless shower door online and wanted help with installation. I called several local businesses and AGC Glass had by far the best price and the quickest response time. Zach came to our house (I believe he is the owner)- he is a super cool guy and was able to get the job done fast and very professionally. We have a whole new downstairs bathroom thanks to Zach. Gone is the rusty shower curtain rod and in is a sleek modern framless shower glass door. Zach was able to custom fit the door to my space in no time and used higher quality parts he had in his van to put together the frame than came with the package to make sure the install would hold up. A few months later we called Zach up to custom cut some glass shelves for our new see-through kitchen cabinets. Turn around time was super fast, quality excellent, and his pricing was better than Del Ray Glass or any of the other local outfits. After reviewing the association rules, and receiving an in home assessment for AGC, I was so relieved to know my window did not need replacing the side compression items just needed replacing. I hired these guys to cut a large mirror bathroom in prep for a bathroom remodel that I am planning. The mirror was large (8' x 3') and buying a new, smaller one would actually have been more expensive than having this larger one cut. It was fairly easy to schedule an at-home visit with these guys; I think I called on a Tuesday and they came out on a Friday. It was a quick cut; I think they probably were at my home for about 30 - 40 minutes. The work they did was fine. I gave them only three stars because I did not think they were very professional. First, my appointment was between 5 and 6 PM and they did not show up until 6:40 PM. This is prime rush hour time, so I can let this go. They did, however, say something that I think is incredibly unprofessional and rude. When I confirmed the price of the cut ($115) the gentleman responded with a 'yes, with tip'. Now, I have my own opinions on tipping culture in America but I do try to tip when I think its deserved. But I have always thought it one of the most unprofessional things an individual can do to make a comment on the expectation of a tip ESPECIALLY before work has begun. Also, these guys charged $115 for a half-hour job; I suppose I think tip should be included, at that price. Perhaps my response to his joke (a weak laugh) was not appreciated because I also was not that impressed with the work they did. They moved everything off my vanity to pull the mirror down and placed it on the hardwood floors in the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom to do the cut. They did not use a drop cloth to protect my hardwood flooring and I'm also pretty sure I saw them accidentally score my hardwood floors while cutting the glass. While they did reinstall the mirror using the original anchors, they also berated me for not wanting them to glue it back to the wall (apparently that costs extra) even though I assured them that the mirror was to be rehung once I remodel the following week. They also harped on the age of the mirror (1988). Additionally they did not bother to clean up the sanding dust from where they smoothed the edges of the cut and left the heavy mirror remnants upstairs for me to throw away. They did not put the things they cleared from the vanity back and left that for me to do, too. So, in summary, these guys will do the job. However, if you want the individuals doing the work to do a professional job, I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

I received a timely response from Suellen and she promptly scheduled an estimate for the same day. Jake, the owner, arrived on time and was so professional. He sketched out the tables and provided an estimate on the spot. I had one table in particular that was especially intricate in shape. The custom tops were ready within one week; this was much faster than expected. When Jake arrived to install the table tops, he cleaned the table tops prior to installing the glass. I used this company to fix the glass top of a table. I have to say they made this experience as painless as possible. I called on a Thursday afternoon around 12:30 and spoke to Zach, who got all of the details of my needs and provided me with a quote for the job. Within 40 minutes Zach was at my house picking up the table! Once he actually saw the job that needed to be done the price did go up slightly, but hey, it happens. I received an invoice through my email (a day later than expected due to an incorrect email address), and the table was delivered good as new by Saturday. It only took a couple of days! Given a drop off window between 1pm-2pm, Zach pulled up to my house at exactly 1pm! These guys are good. They mean what they say, they do a great job, and they're really nice while doing it. Although they say they take credit cards, they seemed to be leaning more towards me writing a check, but who knows, maybe that was just that day. I'm sure if they say they take credit cards they do. My experience was completely different than most of what was listed here. Last night I had the door of my business kicked through (glass) and needed it replaced today. Most glass companies couldn't come out till tomorrow, and some wanted to charge for "emergency services" during business hours. AGC answered the phone every time I called, and came out within the proposed time frame TODAY to estimate. The pricing was competitive, and they told me the work could be done TODAY also. They had to leave to cut the glass, and came back before their proposed timeline for install. I walked outside to inspect this afternoon, and they had begun, and nearly finished the job! I am the manager at a local therapy clinic and we needed new gym sized mirrors for our Pilates studio. There was some hiccups due to weather-the installation had to be delayed because the mirrors were so large they couldn't carefully be brought in safely with rain and snow happening. When the estimator was over to scope out the job, they observed that we needed gray colored caulk to close holes in the marble tile from removing the shower rod. Well, when they came to install, of course there was no gray caulk. They said they would come back and do it, and after several emails and calls that have now gone unanswered, and after they said they would be here between noon and 1 PM on a Saturday, and never showed, we are through with them. It had shattered due to improper heat process at the factory, according to the young man from AGC that removed the old glass. He said it would take two weeks to get another glass. On February 8, 2018 at 4:17 pm, I contacted AGC Glass Contractors (Vince Barrotti) was who I spoke to. I inquired about his glass repair services and he stated he would send a technician to my house to give me an estimate on Saturday, February 10, 2018 between 11-12 pm. The technician went by the name of Vince. He ended up calling me on Saturday, February 10th at 8:10 am and he changed the time of the appointment to 9:15 am instead 11-12 pm which was the time that was had originally given me. I didn't think anything of it at the time. Zach came at 9:15 am and he measured the window, gave me a quote of $296.00. I signed an invoice after he gave me the quote. Zach stated that he would cut the glass and return between 5-6 pm on Saturday evening to repair the window. Zach stated that it would take about 20 minutes to repair the window once he returned. Zach told me that he would call me an hour before he was due to return to repair the window. Zach did not call me back an hour before the appointment time like he stated, so I had to call him. When I called him at 3:39 pm Vince Barrotti stated that he would give me a call back in 45 minutes to let me know when the sealant on the window dried. Vince Barrotti returned my call 25 minutes later a t4:04 pm just to tell me that he could not repair the window until Sunday, (February 11, 2018) between 12-2pm. Vince Barrotti stated again that he would have the technician to call an hour before he came to my house to complete the repairs. Of course, this never happened. I ended up having to call Vince Barrotti back again at 12:38 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018. I got his voicemail, so I left a message. I ended up receiving a text message from him at 12:41 pm that same day telling me that the appointment time to repair the window had changed to Sunday evening between 5-6 pm. I asked him through text if he was really coming this time because he previously changed the appointment time twice. Vince Barrotti assured me that he would have a technician to return between 5-6 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Needless to say, the technician Zach never came back to my home to repair the window and he did not called. Everytime, I called back I got the voicemail and none of my phone calls were returned. I believe that Zach and Vince Barrotti are the same person. The way this AGC Glass contractors conducted business is very unprofessional. No customer should have to hunt down a contractor to get them to complete the job they said they would complete. I DO NOT recommend doing business with AGC Contractors. AGC Glass Contractors gives their customers the run around and they are definitely not a business with integrity. This is the worst company i think i have ever dealt with. they installed the seal on my shower door -- on the wrong side of the door -- so that the water spews out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. I highly recommend AGC Glass. Mr. Zakaria knows exactly what he's doing, removed my broken floor-to-ceiling mirror in less than 10 minutes with no incident, no flying glass, no hammering or pounding. Youtube explained it's a job for 2 men, but Mr. Zakaria did it all by himself, not even wearing safety eyeglasses. It was a super-clean job he did, and was in and out of our apartment in no time at all. From our small talk I could glean he really knows his glass and mirrors, and he trained and worked with the best people in the business. Not only is he highly skilled and professional, his price is the best in town.
