I bought a vacuum here a few days ago, and the customer service rep was great at explaining the difference between bagless and bagged vacuums. Those Dyson commercials have us tricked! It's the bagged vacuum you want. Turns out the bagless is actually more work. He explained my options between used and new and the longevity I could expect. He even put together one of the new ones that was his recommendations because he's had his for 10 years and still going strong. He had me test it out, and I was impressed. It even had a "lower end" model that saved me money, and the only difference is that there's not a "bag full" indicator (but he showed me how to easily check this manually) and a different type of hose. Additionally, the rep I told me that I should have my belt changed every 6 months or so and could bring it in, and he would change it for the cost of the new belt only. Then, after I got it home, I happened to check my storage unit and found that I still had my old bagged Hoover that my mom gave me. I decided to return the new one to save money, and they were so great about it. I will definitely use them for any future repairs and maintenance, and when my current vacuum finally dies, I will buy my next vacuum here. I wish they were better known because they could help a lot of people buy the right vacuum, instead of what's "hot" at Best Buy or Sears. I called Agency Repair to inquire about a Miele vacuum cleaner that needed repair and spoke to Walid. I asked if they repair Miele vacuum cleaners and he said yes. Do you have Miele parts? Oh , yes, he said. Just bring it in and will fix it right away. I drove the 45 minutes to the shop and presented the vacuum cleaner. Oh, he said, you'll have to leave it here and the technician will get to it and call you back and you need to pay $65 for him to look at it. Huh? You said you can fix it right away. Did you lie when you told me that? Oh, no, I am not the technician. Pay me $65 and the technician will take a look and call you. Walid is a lying sack. This place is a dump. I only stopped by because I thought it was a legit Uhaul store. Incorrect! They sell vacuums, sewing machines, phones, and probably anything else you might need if they dig around the back enough. I walked in and immediately saw what I needed hanging on the wall. (2 mattress protector bags). They were labeled $4.95+tax. So just in case I asked how much they were. He didn't know but said they ranged from $8.99-$12.99. But that he knew this 'full size' was $8.99. I tell him that's all I need and he rings me up. $9.99 each. Lol. And then when I asked him about it he started bitching that I can go "up the street". I got what I needed and I don't care about the double charge as much as I do that shitholes like this can still operate as legitimate businesses. Save yourself time and money and go "up the road" for your packing, vacuuming, cell phone, sewing machine, knock off purses, cheap perfume, as seen on TV products, and all other needs. I'm a senior citizen. Door locked....knocked on door, man in back ignored. Second man, went and got key. Didn't help with door or vacuum. Vacuum man turned it over and said, "roller frozen".....I talked with Kenmore services and they stated that brush roller doesn't spin when upside down. Was told unable to find parts. I called Kenmore while at store....i needed purchase date (my problem). Asked for help from employee....did he offer to talk with Kenmore....NO (vacuum needs to be down for brush to work....indeed was frozen) employees mentioned several times that I needed to pay forward(no problem). This business is no longer AGENCY REPAIR SHOP. It is now MORE THAN VACUUMS. I am giving, MORE THAN VACUUM, 5 stars. I have an old CD player that was not working. It has a strong sentimental value. I didn't want to give up on it. The person who gave it to me, is no longer living. I picked it up today and am more than appreciative, satisfied and happy. Victor, the Service Representative, was so professional; yet friendly. He made me feel like he really appreciated my business. He, another staff person, kept me informed, all along, as to how things were going; what they were finding and what the outcome would be. The price was very reasonable. They deserve 5 stars. I am resubmitting my review for Agency Repair Shop and standing by my review of 1 star only because I can't give a 0. I personally spoke to Jessie on the phone Sunday May 27 at 11am (or within 5 mins before or after) and my husband as well as my mom were there in person, so I assure you that this was my experience (as was all stated in the original post you will read below), since I just recieved an email complaint stating it was removed due to not being a personal experience. I have the credit card receipts as well as the email to prove if necessary as well as phone records, is that personal enough? Here is the previous review verbatim as it was before: I ordered a Uhaul Cargo Van for my mom to pickup as I was unable to drive due to a broken foot and had been homeless for a time due to it and was finally being able to move into my new home.  When I ordered the Cargo Van online I stated I needed it for 12 hours and the computer approved it stating that it was covered under the $50 reservation guarantee. I also preregistered online with all my info and was NEVER made aware that the cargo van had been double booked (I made the reservation on May 31st dor June 5th, far enough in advance that the store had plenty of time to call and advise of the double booking).  When my mom and husband got to the store they WAITED 15 minutes as one representative sat talking on his cell phone while the other representative helped another couple and then when that rep left with them he finally said to the person on the other end that (quote) "I guess I should get off the phone now and work" before coming to help them.  Then Jessie (the guy they worked with) tried to bully them into only accepting the van for 4 hours (not long enough for our moving use and apparently they only do 24 hour rents, not 12 anyway). My husband was with my mom, he is a disabled combat vet, and he called me to find out what I wanted to do. I asked to speak to Jessie bc I was curious (I wanted to know if this situation qualifed and nicely asked such)about the $50 guarantee the website listed as our order wasn't to be available as we needed/ordered. Jessie took the phone and when I asked about the above he became condescending and rude, to the point I politely asked him to stop talking that way to me and asked him to tell me what he could do for me instead. He did offer a 10 foot truck for the same price/mileage cost, which I was thankful for. However when my husband called me after picking the truck up he advised me all that Jessie said to both him and my mom, including the above quote too,(and I quote) "If it had been yesterday and she had talked to me that way I would have cancelled your reservation". That is uncalled for, I never spoke to him in any manner other than politely asking him to stop telling me what he couldn't do and tell me wht he could. I will NEVER shop or rent a Uhaul from this location again and will advice such to others.  If the owners would like to respond, please do so by replying to the comment instead of deleting my VALID review. No Stars (Also doing business as "More than Vacuums). Bought a vacuum here on Monday. Received clear verbal promise that I could return it if my wife didn't want it. No mention of a restocking fee. On Wednesday, returned the vacuum unused, in its original condition, whereupon the manager pointed out notation of a 30% restocking charge at the bottom of the receipt. The verbal promise from his salesman was irrelevant. Gouged for over $100. COMPLETE, UTTER, BLATANT DISHONESTY. Don't go here. read more

I took my Hoover Carpet cleaner to agency to get repaired. I brought the vacuum in on 9/15/23. 3 weeks passed and I had no update so I called and they said it would be back in The shop Tuesday as they had no one to service it in shop. Well Tuesday can I called and it wasn't there and appeared to not be worked on yet but they would make sure it was fixed and in the shop Monday. Monday 10/23/23 arrived and I called to verify it was fixed and there. Tom said it was ready for pick up. When I arrived it i asked what was wrong with it and Tom said he did t see any notes. that didnt sit well with me and I asked Tom if we can test it. He was hesitant but eventually he filled the tank with some water. My issue was the vacuum would leak all the water out of the bottom without being turned on. At first glance it appeared to be fixed. But they were too worried about getting their floor wet I didn't really test it out. Once I got home and turned the vacuum on the water started leaking. And it wouldn't stop Leaking. I turned the vacuum off and water kept pouring out. I called Hoover and they verified no warranty claims were put in that they could see. They took it upon themselves the get a claim working and are going to take care of it internally. And probably just send me a new unit. I already sent them a video of it all. I called Agency to let them know. Tom then tells me from the notes nothing was fixed and it was working normally. Obviously not if it's leaking from the bottom of the vacuum without being powered on. Long story short he said I can bring it in and it would be put in the front of the line. Frankly I will not be bringing it in as this place doesn't care about their work. Hoover also said they are working on removing them as a repair facility they would recommend. As I only went here on their recommendation. Stay far away from this place. Communication is garbage, they don't care about customer service and they defiantly do not care about the quality of work they put out. read more

Full story below, but this place is awful by literally every measurement. Awful customer service and as far as I can tell, they are unable to repair vacuums. I dropped a vacuum off for repair on 5/22 to someone who claimed to be the manager and was told someone would reach out to me about any additional parts they would need to order. I never heard from them, so I called back on 6/17 for an update and spoke with someone at the store who couldn't give me any real information and said they would have someone call me back. Again no one called me so I called back on 6/30 and spoke with Victor who addressed himself as the manager as well. Victor told me they were still looking for a part and that they were short staffed. Victor also asked me for a few days to try and fix the vacuum. Again no one called me and after a week passed I went to the store on 5/8 to get a refund and my vacuum so that I could take it somewhere else. Upon my arrival at the store Victor was surprised I was there because no one had called me to pick up my vacuum, and he saw in the system that they had ordered a new part. After explaining that I was done with his company he went to the back and came out with my vacuum cleaner supposedly fixed. On the first use it was clear the vacuum was not fixed so my wife brought the vacuum back on 7/13 and Victor again asked for more time to fix the vacuum and said he would call back by noon on 7/14 and if he couldnt fix it he would give us a refund. Once again we never received a phone call so I went to the store around 1:30pm on 7/14 to get my vacuum and move on. Victor was not there, but his tech was. The tech told me her fixed the vacuum cleaner and being skeptical I asked how. His response was "I don't know I just took it apart and put it back together". Surprise, surprise the vacuum was still not repaired. I returned today for a refund and Victor told me that we didn't give him enough time to fix the vacuum and that we would still be charged $80. I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company to get a refund. read more

I had a great experience with Mike and his crew at Agency. My Kirby vacuum cleaner was broken for months. Since I live about two hours from Denver it took me a while to get it fixed. I was impressed by the customer service as well as the ability to get the job done. My Kirby is working like new again. I highly recommend this repair shop. Have a used snowblower that was leaking fuel. Picked up a 6 inch piece of fuel tubing and a float bowl.....very pleasant fella Cisco Limones. Will be sure to give him a try at a yearly tune up of this 'blower'. read more

We went to Agency Vacuum which is the U haul contractor at 1802 S Havana in Aurora to rent a pick up truck as we were a vendor in the denver county fair this past August. We needed a pick up to make sure we were able to get into the National Western Complex without any problems. They were the only one in the area that has them. Came in about 1; their computers were running bad (both here and at corporate at 615 S Havana.); they insisted we had to have a credit card as we just lost ours we had to go to Safeway to buy another at a cost of $3.95. We got back only to find out the computers were down here and they were not working at any place else either. Only at 615 S Havana could they write a paper contract. We live at Yale and Quebec. We can walk to Agency even though its 45 minutes. Its well over an hour to get to 615 S Havana and 2 buses. Its already going to be 2 buses and the light rail as well as nearly 2 hours to get to the stock show complex each day of the 3 day fair. We were there for 2 hours; the system never came back up. These people would not drive us to 615 as it would change the mileage on the vehicles and they had no other solution. They expected us to take the bus to 615 as they knew we didnt have a working car. The problem with that idea is it has to be returned at 615 and with us having to be at the fair each day by about 9; that was not going to work as its going to be 4 buses and the light rail and we all know RTD does not run on time. The stuff had to be hauled in Thursday as you werent going to be allowed to bring the truck in on Friday. We had a very limited window to just haul tables and our stuff in and there was alot of stuff too. We took the bus to the library (no cell phone and we are mute) to contact our friend to see if she could help. No help from her. U haul takes an hour to respond on their facebook page and by the time we got any help; it was time for us to get the bus to get to a 7 pm meeting that night. We lost $2000 in sales that these people have not helped with. We lost $275 in pre paid fees to the fair. We have picketed their store 7 times now which resulted in more lost sales ($600) and these people do not care. They think because they are a huge company; they can treat people like rubbbish. Agency while having nice people; these people made no effort to make sure we had a pick up to take alot of things to be a vendor at the denver county fair. Something could have been worked out. We expected better from these people so if you see us picketing and we only have a few hours a few times a week to do it at Agency; please encourage us by honking your horns and going elsewhere for u haul and for all items that agency sells and fixes. read more

Tom has twice revived my vacuum from its apparent end-of-the-road. The first time he performed a standard service/cleaning (its first after 5+ years of steady use) and got it working again like new. The second time I sucked up a sock without noticing until the vacuum started to emit smoke. I thought sure I'd destroyed the motor, but Tom dropped what he was doing, disassembled the vacuum right at the front counter, and found a broken belt. He replaced it and the vacuum works like new again. And he would not accept payment above the $3 cost of the new belt. read more

I brought my vacuum in for repair earlier in the year and was told it might be 6 months or longer before a part would be available. Ok. I waited and waited. Finally, today, I went in to pick it up to just use it in the garage since it still sucked well. Turns out they threw it out after 3 months. They claimed to have called me but I never received a phone call and my phone number wasn't even listed on the reciept. How could they have called? Find some place else to fix your vacuum. read more

I had a mixed experience here. When I dropped off my bissell carpet cleaner for repair both sales people I encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. But the individual who called me to talk about my repair was borderline rude to me and informed me that it would be another two days at least before my machine was ready. At least they called me, and assuming my machine proves to be fully functional then I am generally a happy customer. But that unpleasant phone call is a fly in the ointment; customer service really is everything! read more

Couldn't have asked for better service. After buying a replacement wheel from Agency for my Toro mower, I had trouble reattaching the wheel linkage, so I brought the mower and the wheel in. Cisco recognized me from my wheel purchase and took a quick break from the project he was working on to help me get the linkage attached properly. I took my vacuum cleaner to get fixed recently because the brushes on the vacuum cleaner stopped moving. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call letting me know that my vacuum cleaner was not broken, but rather I had accidentally pushed on a button which turns off the brushes (user error). I am thankful that the staff at Agency were honest and did not try to rip me off. read more

Bought a used lawnmower from these guys for fraction of the cost of a new one. It starts everytime and they gave me a one year warranty with it. Very attentive staff and I rented a uhaul from them too. There's a large uhaul store just down the road from these guys. Don't go to the big store it has very slow service these guys get you your truck quick. I will continue to do business with Agency Vac. read more
