I chose them for 2 major reasons. 1) they were going to deal with the scheduling of the removal and réinstallation of our solar panels. And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. Our roof is beautiful and will hopefully last many many years to come. I am thankful we went with Apollo Roofing and Happy Shahar was our project manager.

After replacing the boards, the showed us the pictures again and kept us updated. They also helped us replace some of the fascia that was rotten. Overall, their team is efficient and they tried their best to keep us updated throughout the process. There was a lot of debris as they removed the old roof, but they did a very good job cleaning up the areas around the house. One of the electrical circuits blew out during the process, but Apollo sent one of their electricians to ensure that it was fixed. Of course, the roof is one of those things where only time can tell, but we are hopeful that our new roof will last us quite some time!

Most recently at a house in Union City I manage just this last month in April to do roof repairs & a new gutters throughout. Tri-City is a family owned company that's been around for years. Greg came out very quickly for the initial inspection. He was courteous, honest, and helpful. They gave us their assessment within a few hours of their inspection. We needed a whole new roof. We were in shock but Tri-City helped us understand all of the different aspects of why. We emailed many, many questions. We always got very prompt, detailed responses (sometimes within the hour of sending the email!). When we got the bid, it was very competitive to the other bids we had received. Tri-City's bid though had many more options as well as a breakdown of ALL of the costs. When we signed our contract with them, we felt that there would NOT be any "gotchas" during the project where the contractor would say, "Oh we have to charge you more than we thought". Tri-City gave us the option to go to the roofing supply company, QXO/Al's Roofing Supply, to select which roof we preferred. Jeff at QXO was very helpful and reinforced what a good company Tri-City was to work with. When asked about scheduling, again, Tri-City & their office staff Jeannine and Viviana were super helpful. They were able to get us on their schedule quickly to work around things from our schedule. Once they started working, the foreman Oscar was easy to access and again, very responsive and helpful with our many questions. There were various crews that came at different stages of the total roof replacement. Each of the workers wore Tri-City Roofing shirts, acted professionally and courteously and worked hard the entire time they were here. We were told the project would take @ 3 days to complete. They were completely DONE in TWO days!!!! We were able to take photos and observe the different stages of their stellar work. At the end of each day, the workers made sure the house, garage, & grounds were clean and free of debris. They were very careful about the pets we have as well. When we started this project we were worried and overwhelmed. Once we met Tri-City Roofing and got to know them through our many, many questions via emails and phone calls, we knew that we were in good hands. David and Gilbert were there every step of the project. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains and David still made the time to travel almost every day to make sure our project was running smoothly. My wife and I are first time homeowners and I feel like David did a great job addressing all our concerns including all the heavily rotted wood that needed replacing. This summer (summer 2026), we had a tree branch fall on our ADU roof and caused some shingle and underlayment damage. Top Tier provided a decent quote to come out to repair the damage. The team repaired the damage within 30 minutes of arrival. There's a reason they are highly rated. You won't be disappointed in hiring Top Tier for your next roofing projects. First of all, I called because in the last rain storm we had in the Bay Area, we found evidence in our ceiling of a water spot in the drywall. I searched the yelp and was looking for roofing companies that had at least a four star rating and was quickly intrigued by the five star rating of Atlas Roofing. I called and immediately received a little bit of guidance on the phone and was given an appointment for the next day to have somebody come out and take a look. The next day Dave came out and spent a good amount of time looking on the inside of the house, going through the attic, and walking on the roof itself to look and see if he could find the leak and also to gauge the condition of the roof and the wood foundation underneath the wall roof. I originally was hoping to just repair where the leak was, but after talking to Dave I realize that it would be better to just replace the entire roof. My roof was already 30 years old. Dave gave me clear options to either repair the hole or replace the whole roof, and within that there were several options to choose from in replacing the roof. He carefully explained the process, the amount of time he anticipated the job to take, and what I could expect. Everything that Dave said and explained was 100% accurate. He is professional, knowledgeable, and very good at explaining things in Laymans terms The job started the following Monday. The crew was very efficient, very professional, and worked at an incredible pace. They cleaned up after themselves every day. By the end of the first day, the old roof was off and the wood base was exposed completely. At this time they were able to show me that there was no need to replace the wood underneath the roof. By the end of the first day they had started to place some of the new roof on the backside of my house. Within three days, the entire roof was finished. Dave and his crew handled all of the inspections from the city, pulled all the permits needed, and took care of everything from beginning to end. I could not be more happy with the quality of the craftsmanship, the crew, and of course, the roof. Having a 50 year roof and a piece of mind is important during these times. I did not plan to have to replace a roof (I don't think anybody does) but I am happy that I found Atlas Roofing. I would highly recommend this company. I know a lot of people cut corners and I know a lot of people find a cheap alternative. I truly believe you get what you pay for. I can go on and on about my experience, but I think pictures are worth 1000 words. I wanted to be detailed in this review because most people will only replace a roof once or twice in their lifetime. By his logic, every old house without ridge vents should be leaking water. I've been in my attic, there's no condensation issue. Their price for a new roof seems fair but given our roof is 12-15 years old with two leaks, it's far from needing a full replacement. They also offered no warranty if we went with a repair. He also estimated my roof to be 25 years old when my home inspection and other roofers estimated 10-15 years old.

I obtained 3 bids for a new roof, replacing my concrete tiles with 2-piece Spanish clay tiles. All 3 roofers seemed competent and planned to use the same materials. Bid #1 was in the stratosphere. Bid #2 (Ivan's) was slightly less than #1. Bid #3 was significantly less than #2. Despite my reservations about the price, Ivan got the contract, because of his responsiveness and because I preferred communicating with him and sensed that he cared the most about doing quality work. Having lived under the burden of a defective roof for 18 years, I have learned that choosing a roofer who cares about doing quality work matters more than price. The experience with Roofing Solutions was very positive, resulting in a beautiful work of art that catches your eye even a block away. At the end of the project, as Ivan and I stood in the street admiring his work, neighbors pulled up in their cars to express their admiration. Ivan's team did a great job throughout. The only major disappointment was a large change order that drove the already very high price even higher. The issue was a lot of rotted wood that needed placement. But even that wasn't entirely unexpected given that my roof had leaked for years. Plus, the extent of rot can't be fully determined until the existing roof is taken up. Work was unavoidably delayed a month because the tile supplier was slow to deliver materials; Ivan intervened very assertively with the tile supplier to ensure that the delay wasn't worse. When work started, it took 2 weeks, just like Ivan predicted. The team was always extremely efficient, professional, respectful, and clean. If I noticed a stray water bottle in the bushes, which was rare, it would always disappear by the end of the workday, as would any other traces. Getting a new roof is loud! But the team was as unobtrusive as the nature of the work allowed, and they left no footprints. Every flowerpot and piece of furniture that was moved was restored to its original location. Nothing was damaged. I like that no subcontractors were used. Everyone on the roof was on Ivan's regular, permanent team. Ivan himself was there every day, which I also appreciated. He regularly texted me pictures and progress updates. I like the fact that he has a permanent team. They work well together, and 3 of them are brothers. I think with a regular, permanent team working under the watchful eye of an attentive boss who cares about his reputation, workmanship problems are less likely. It is a pleasure interacting with Ivan, and he's the most responsive contractor I've encountered. He always responds extremely fast to any questions, whether you text, call, or email. You never have to remind him of anything or ask twice. Whenever I tried to remind him of something that needed to be done, the response was that it was already done. When I texted him to ask if he could give me the remote controls for the new skylights the next time he was on site, he texted back immediately that he'd send one of his guys up with them right away. And within 10-15 minutes my doorbell was ringing. Whatever else Ivan may have been doing during those 2 weeks, he always made me feel like I had his undivided attention. With a roof, the most important thing is the installation of the underlayment beneath the tiles. No matter how good a roof looks, you can't truly know the quality of the workmanship until 5, 10, or even 20 years have passed. But on the professionalism of the execution as I observed it from the ground, and on the aesthetics, Ivan's team gets an A+. And the care and attention to detail that I observed gives me confidence that the underlayment was installed correctly. I am also fully confident that Ivan takes sufficient pride in his work that if any issues were to arise, he'd address them. Overall, by the time the project ended and I had observed the work that went into it, my concerns about the price had lessened. AAR had the best contract and price after sourcing multiple quotes. We even got the upgraded Solaris shingles by booking by a certain date in October which was awesome because they refract more heat in the summer. We added new gutters on for 4k too. If I had any constructive criticism to offer it would have been to communicate more with the placement on the gutters because we had to have them come back to make a patch and move the gutter to the side because it was better looking on the side of the house rather than a focal point in front. But as promised, they made it right and got the job done with my particular request. Our house looks so much more updated with these Morie Black Landmark shingles, rather than the old terracotta tiles that we had before. I've already referred 3 people to their company and my parents got their roof done by them a month later!
