Stay away from these guys! They messed up our solar panels so badly - check out the video I attached here - they didn't even attach our panels properly! Our solar output was 50% of its rated capacity after they were done, and when I complained about it, they took three days messing around with it before they gave up and left and didn't even finish the job. The job was only half done when they texted and asked me if there was anything else needed. I told them they didn't pick up their pick of junk wood, sign, and left over ceramic tile. When the worker came he had to finished some installation that took him a day and a half but left the sign and ceramic titles. Because I'm selling my home I needed proof that the fixes were in placed. I was sent a few pictures but not the ones I requested. Got rid of the sign and titles myself. For the amount of work they did, I thought it was a little expensive. Most of the roof was probably just fine but they insisted to do more work, so I gave in. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I contacted this company for a simple roof repair and was immediately met with high-pressure sales tactics. From the first call, they insisted I needed a full roof replacement--just because my home is 28 years old. No real inspection, just fear-based selling. The salesperson was aggressive and manipulative, pressuring me to sign a contract on the spot. I was told the $8,000 repair I originally agreed to wouldn't be warrantied unless I paid for a full roof replacement. I felt cornered and reluctantly agreed just to make the pressure stop. Big mistake. The crew reused old tiles, used nails that punctured through the decking, and clearly didn't have the carpentry skills needed. The fascia and rafter tail repairs I was promised were done so poorly I now have to hire someone else to fix them. Workers took long breaks, barely spoke English (making communication nearly impossible), and dragged out the project unnecessarily. When I voiced my concerns, I was ignored or given vague, dismissive answers. As a senior, I feel completely taken advantage of. The final product was rushed, sloppy, and way below professional standards. Do not trust this company. I was misled, overcharged, and left with a roof that still needs fixing. Unless you're a wealthy Bay Area client, expect pressure tactics, poor quality, and no accountability. read more

I have an older home in Santa Clara. Of all of the roofing companies I requested estimates from, Newhaus was the only company which did a thorough inspection in my attic prior to giving me an estimate. Their estimate was also very reasonable and they went above and beyond what was in the estimate. Sam came out to give me the free estimate and found a pony wall in my attic where a beam had actually cracked. Newhaus has a great wood working crew, lead by Hector, which fixed all of the issues with my attic beams way beyond what I would have expected. My house also required a layer of plywood over the existing roof decking, which added to the cost of the roof, but was absolutely necessary given the condition of my roof decking once the old roof was taken off. Every day before the crew left, they would ensure the ground around my house was clean of debris and nails. Newhaus is an official installer of Owens Corning roofs.
