They gave Aggies a makeover a couple years ago. I like it, not as dark. The service was good. Our server came right over got our order going. We had burgers which were very good. Oh, and the onion rings, well worth the upcharge instead of fries. We had a great experience and will be visiting again. read more

Ordered perch dinner right away after being seated, and then we told After sitting there for an hour they were out of perch. The owner is a bully. If you complain about anything he will say you are unreasonable and put the blame on you for your dissatisfaction. He will cater to his friends at the expense of other customers. We walked out after attempting a resolution to a couple of complaints with out a reasonable outcome. We asked for nothing except fair and reasonable service. The owner seemed not to care. Never even seemed to be the least bit sorry. Will never go back. read more

I live out of state, but my parents live in Napoleon and every time I come up we go to Aggies and Average Joe's. We have always had great drinks and food - their burgers are amazing! The staff has always been extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient. The last time I was up in March my mom and I went over to Average Joe's after hanging out at Aggie's for a little while, and the owner stood and talked to me for a while about music (Aaron Lewis, specifically) and was incredibly welcoming. Every time I come up I will come to this bar/grill and enjoy the staff, drinks and food! Can't wait until I get to come back up. read more

Unfriendly service, bad food. Unfriendly clientele, it takes very long to get your food and it smells like beer if you go there on a weekend, they used to sell ibc root beer but then they stopped. Arcade is old and awful, machines barely ever work. read more

Awesome restaurant and great food! I ordered the French Dip but the waitress was horrible and served my food to another guest at our table and I ended up with her food but my au jus. Lexi is the worst waitress: slow, inefficient. Had to educate her to bring me a new order; I did not want to switch plates with the other person as we had both started eating off our wrong plates. The wait was almost an hour long including the time it took to bring us new plates. By the time our food arrived, the other table guests were done eating their meals. I give the food and the restaurant five stars hands down but if it existed, I'd give Lexi 100 negative stars. I highly recommend this restaurant and the food but stay away from that sub-standard waitress. read more

Haven't been here in a while but decided to stop in for dinner with my family last night. Awful mistake. Waited 10 minutes for the server to come clear the dishes off the table and act incredibly annoyed when asked to wipe it down. It also took 40 minutes to get our pizza and wings(which tasted like something out of the freezer section of the grocery store) just for the waitress to again get annoyed because we needed refills on our drinks. All in all, awful experience and I am in no hurry to rush back read more

Aggies is one of our favorites - good food, good, friendly service, great prices. The Owner comes around and says hello. Our favorite is the Friday Night Fish Fry. You can't go wrong. Highly recommended. If you arrive after 6pm, sometimes you have to wait for a table, but it is worth it. read more

As long And you don't mind a filthy bar and a management who refuses to clean anything who hires the lowest of the low and and fires a good ones you'll enjoy this place but if you don't want some kind of disease because they don't wash their dishes they don't wash your glasses and everything is covered in some kind of sticky film you should be good. We have been going here at least 15 years. The food is bar food but has always been good. But....the staff has really gone the side of bad. Last night we went in and I ordered the fish dinner...7.99 on the menu. Always been good a favorite and cheap. The menu States it comes with Cole slaw and french fries. The waitress came and told me they were out of Cole slaw and offered salad that I said yes. When we received the bill I was charged 9.99 for fish..1.50 for fries and 1.00 on salad. I was told all upgrades and male waiter wanted to argue. This is the first time in my life I got angry in a restaurant. PRINCIPLE. Another employee fixed the bill after the waiter told me I HAD TO PAY THAT AMOUNT!!!! We will not be returning after so many years as regulars. read more

Aggies would have been 4 stars 15 years ago but they really have not put any money in the place and it shows. The decor is worn and the restrooms are in need of an inspection. At the same time prices have been kicked up to where there are better bar food options in Brooklyn or Jackson. Decent burgers although the quality has really slipped over the years. The pizza, once a favorite is not note worthy any longer, the crust does not taste homemade any longer and the cheese isn't very good either. Friendly wait staff who have been there for years help keep them alive. The bar/pool hall side (Average Joe's) is behind the sports bar and you often encounter intoxicated patrons leaving that venue in the parking lot on weekends. If you have kids avoid on Thurs-Sat. I had to walk my son around a vomiting patron in the parking lot on a Friday evening to get to my car. I'm not a doctor but I can tell you this girl didn't have the flu. Nice, huh? read more

This restraunt is excellent!!! The Fish Fry on Friday nights is the best I have ever had. I definitally suggest the red potatoes as a side with the Fish. The service is good and the prices aren't bad for the quality of the food. I enjoy my visit everytime I go. An with a video arcade for the kids, there is no "I'm hungry!" This was a busy place with good food at one time, Until the majority owner forced out the minority owner, who was running the place. Gone downhill since. Poor food, rude help. Pizza was the only thing left that was worth anything. I've given up on that since I was put on hold for almost 9 minutes, only to be hung up on. Calling back, the next person that answered basically told me "tough sh#t, we're busy". No wonder it's for sale. Next owner should fire all the help and start new. Now that it's been run into the ground, they actually have the audacity to be asking $420K for the place. All of my realtor friends laugh at that. They say the dump isn't even worth $275K. read more
