So happy to have this as an option in Grass Lake. Drinks and food options are great! You can eat indoors or outside at picnic tables with umbrellas. It is mostly fenced in but is near a busy road so keep children nearby. Inside you can view photographs of the local sports teams. There are TV's and seating options include booths, bar or table seating. Upstairs is a fun little store and lounge area that has boutique-type items for sale. Some products are locally made by various small businesses like Murphy Made Co. & You Melt Me. The food is tasty and so are the drinks. Great drinks and friendly staff. Very attentive to customers. Wish they had more options for vegetarians/vegans. Would love to frequent more often but I can get pizza anywhere as a vegetarian. Could easily mix it up with tempeh tacos or something along those lines. The flatbread pizza is good but would like more variety just like carnivores. read more

Not my cu of tea place for food but great to grab a beer ! I don't like Smokey flavored thing though so I'm biased, it's extremely popular, AMAZING ambiance and extremely nice inside. The French dips meat to bread ratio was disappointing but I'll be back for a beer to watch the Lions! read more

We were in town for a softball tournament. Called to make reservations a few days before and they were super helpful. We had a group of 25. The kids (well young teens really) got the upstairs to themselves (which they LOVED) while the parents got to eat in the bar area and enjoy the UofM softball game. Best place in town hands down! Pico de gallo was super fresh and delicious. Everyone in my party had to take food home because the portions were so big. I got the French dip which was not good. The meat was said to be smoked, but was tough and really tasted like liquid smoke had been poured over it. The au jus was stone cold and not good. It tasted like broth poured out of a box. Instead of slicing or shredding the beef, it was cubed. Which made me think even more it hadn't actually been smoked. The waiter hovered. Which I don't like, but he was friendly. When I told him about the issues, he said okay I'll let them know. I kind of expected someone to come out and chat considering it's a new restaurant, but nope. The waiter didn't even apologize. Overall disappointing considering we drove out from Jackson. read more

Had dinner at Prates Place tonight. The service and food as always was good, but then... we had their lava cake got dessert. It came warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and all drizzled with a yummy chocolate sauce. Holy smokes this dessert was SO good and so decadent!
