    Restaurant Week brunch
    Robert M.

I came to Agora with a group of Yelpers for a Restaurant Week brunch. Our server, Fredy, was amazing, always handling our requests with a smile and apologizing when some items took a while to come out. Adding unlimited mimosas for $10 was a steal. My favorites were the Acuka spread and flatbread, kiymali eggs benedict, and lamb shoulder and rice.

Brunch review! Great value and taste with bottomless mimosas that can be added for $10 (orange and cranberry). Our starters came out quick! Great service! Even if we had to ask for items a few times, our server delivered with a smile. (He placed the order and the kitchen brought out the items.) The Turkish/Mediterranean dishes were tasty with dessert to finish off the indulgent meal. Nice ambience. The noise level is elevated, but lively. My aging ears were trying to keep up, lol. I was with a group and they made it simple, no fuss unlike many other establishments that make you groan while reading their website with fussy and impossible rules. It was worth the trip to drive in to uptown DC. Parking was limited, but more available for Sunday. I would return and recommend to friends.

We love Agora's Happy Hour drinks!! Staff members are always friendly and welcoming. Beautiful restaurant!

The vibe? Immaculate. Think warm lighting, gorgeous bar seating, and just enough "I'm chic but effortless" energy. The kind of place where you accidentally stay way longer than planned. The food? Delicious across the board -- and definitely made for sharing (or pretending to share while guarding your favorites ). Every dish felt thoughtful and flavorful without trying too hard. The spread platter is a must. Shrimp was yummy-- wish more came with the dish. Lamb was succulent. Chicken kabob was grilled to perfection. Manti was yummy. I loved the baklava. And can we talk about the hibiscus spritz?? Beautifully balanced, refreshing, and dangerously easy to keep ordering. She's pretty and she delivers. 10/10 would return for the ambiance, the bites, and a little sip-sip moment

Was so eager to try bottomless brunch here because I love Mediterranean menus but this one ended up being very underwhelming. For the food, taste just wasn't there across the board. The best thing were the chicken skewers. We upgraded to the premium drinks and was glad we did because the margaritas and strawberry vodka ones were fan favorites amongst the table. Was advised by a bartender to not order the gin lavender one and they were right because it was horrible. Very limited dessert options but the donuts tasted like pure oil, not enjoyable. Service could've been more efficient, we had to ask for someone to come so we could put in more orders multiple times. We were a larger party so I get it can be kind of chaotic but still would've been nice to have more attentiveness. Probably won't return here but glad for the experience.

Came here for brunch and wow, everything exceeded expectations. The appetizers were incredible, especially the labneh, hummus, and baba ghanouj, all packed with flavor. My favorite dish was the lamb shoulder, it was so juicy and so tender. The flatbreads were also a great addition to the table. For dessert, the lokma and fruit platter were the perfect, light way to end the meal. It was pretty busy around brunch time that it was kind of hard to have a proper conversation. Still, definitely worth it for the food alone.

I came for restaurant week Jan 2026. The space is gorgeous esp for a date night but the food is a little bland and missed the mark for me. I recommend going for happy hour as the prices are about 50% less than they are on the dinner menu. First Course: - Trio Sampler Plate: 6/10. The pita is dry and I wish I saved the dips to go with the main course. Second Course: - Gavurdagi Salad: 5/10. Watered down. Do not recommend. - Mücver: 5/10. Similar to a Latke. It was dry and I wouldn't have been able to swallow it if it weren't for the sauce! Third Course: - Börek: 9/10. Reminded me of spanakopita just in egg roll form. If you're a charcuterie queen you'll love the tomato marmalade. - Mixed Mushrooms: 8/10. My man loved these but he doesn't have much of a diverse palette. I thought they were just okay. Fourth Course: - Köfte: 5/10. They might as well slapped some hamburger patties on the plate. I regret not getting the cauliflower or chicken tinga instead. - Branzino: 9/10 It was good but the fillet was a little thin leaving me wanting more.

I've been hearing about Agora and wanted to give them a try. I enjoyed the atmosphere and sitting on the balcony overlooking the restaurant. My server was also attentive and kind. Overall the food was fresh and cooked very well. The pita bread was a 10/10. I also enjoyed the cauliflower and the balance of sweet and savory it had. However, the lentils and branzino lacked some flavor. I would rate Agora a 3.8 if I could

Omg the food is amazing. The vegiterian options are chefs kiss too. The care that the food is given you taste in every bite. I suggest coming with a big group because it is perfect for a big meal. Service was very intentional and quick too.

I wanted to come to this place for a long time and I wasn't entirely impressed. I love Mediterranean food, but this spot just fell short. The spreads sampler was good and the lamb was certainly the star of the show. Also, honorable mention to the cheese which was amazing! The rice was interesting, not bad but also not good. Most of it was hard, so that was disappointing. The beef dumplings were also hard and didn't have a lot of flavor. Luckily, dessert was awesome. The pistacho dessert was surprisingly delicious. I'd go back just to have that. The place is super cute and a great spot for some cute selfies, but I'm still not sold on the food here. I think I'd try it again to give them a second chance, but I've had better Mediterranean food in the city.

I came here with a few friends one Saturday evening, and we had a great dining experience. Everything tasted absolutely amazing. We started with the sampler spread, which included smaller portions of all the spreads. It was enough to share among the four of us, and they are very generous when it comes to the pitas. For my drink I ordered the hibiscus spritz, and for food, I ordered the Borek, the Branzino, and a side sauce of the toum. I loved everything, but the branzino was probably one of the best I've had. It was lightly seasoned, properly marinated, and grilled enough to not taste dry. We also ordered dessert. I really enjoyed the Turkish baklava and the Isparta rose ice cream. They complemented each other well.

We went for bottomless brunch. For $50 you get unlimited food and unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary's. The waiter came by pretty often to refill out drinks and check what other food we wanted. All of us were so full by the time we left. Everything was amazing. The place was very cute. We sat outside and it was a little dark, but we asked the staff if we could turn on the lights and they did for us.

One of my favorite places for Mediterranean in all of DC. Upon entering, you're greeted with the warmest, most elegant decor and ambiance. The wait staff immediately lends you their undivided attention and care, which is the perfect lead-in to such an exceptional dining experience. I got the prawns and branzino, which were both cooked to perfection, and ended with the oh so delicious baklava dessert. I can't wait to be back!

Are the heated tents still an option for outdoor seating?

    Yes

    Are dogs allowed on patio?

Hi Meghan, yes we allow for dogs on the patio, however, we encourage guests with bigger dogs (mastiffs, saint Bernard's, great Danes; dogs of this size) , to refrain from bringing them as we have limitations due to our COVID seating arrangements.…

Is the patio seating enclosed or open air now?

    Open air with heat lamps.

My birthday is coming up and I was wondering if they do table reservations for about 10 people or more. Is the space minimal?

Hi, I went to brunch there for a friend's birthday and it was 10+ people. Upstairs is spacious and they'll be able to get you a table for your party as long as you call ahead of time and make reservation! Hope this helps :)

Super caring and friendly. I was there alone and didn't feel lonely at all because they took such good care of me. Even when I was leaving and going back to my hotel, they bagged up my food and gave me extra napkins and sauces. So nice! I started with a watermelon cooler (N/A) and it was so refreshing and zesty. Their mocktail menu was incredible. And well priced for mocktails at about $7-$9. I started with fresh rolls and peanut sauce. I eat a lot of fresh rolls and am picky, but these were so good. Amazing peanut sauce, super fresh and crunchy, perfect herb balance. I got the vegan poke bowl with some charred tofu and WOW. The amount of flavors and textures in this bowl. I was amazed. Wild how they make so much tasty vegan stuff. Although, my Korean fried Chick'n sandwich definitely needed more accompanying tater tots ( I had maybe 10). Food came out super fast. Service has to be 3 stars though. Our server said the gochujang mayo wasnt spicy, when gochujang is (it's got a mildly strong kick that quickly evens out/dissipates) so that's just incorrect to tell people who can't handle heat. More importantly, we were all done with desert at roughly 9pm and it wasn't until 9:40, despite multiple moments of eye contact from a few of us, that our server even came to our table to clear our plates. We'd all clearly been done, not even nibbling, for almost that whole time. In that time, other than his regular duties, our server seemed to do other idle things or "end of the evening" tasks, setting up other tables, stacking plates on them, etc. instead of checking on us. Again, a few of us made eye contact a couple times, which can indicate (along with none of us having touched our plates for 5-10 minutes) that we're done. Other plates had been cleared almost right away. We were also all left wanting for water at the end as no other staff came by to see if we needed more. So yeah, not thrilled about that. Also, it was weirdly a smidge too warm in Planta Queen tonight. I suspect the AC just wasn't on as strong because of the AQI in DC (on June 17, 2026) but it was noticeable.

Like every establishment on this planet, you order at the checkout counter unless obviously stated otherwise, which it wasn't. I stood there for a minute looking at the menu before the young man behind the counter gave me a blank look and turned to look at one of this employees. That female employee then told me to go to the opposite side of the shop to order from the ladies working hard behind the glass screen making the pizza. The order sign? Miniscule. Even if you come through the front entrance you would probably miss it. Not only that, the female employee said it like it was OBVIOUS. It's not over yet, after I ordered, I walked over to the pick up spot to wait, thinking that you pay once the pizza is finished. Nope, once again, that same female employee looked at me and said "You done? Then NOW you go pay" dramatically pointing at the checkout counter. Again, like it was obvious, and I'm the idiot for not knowing how things work in their shop. The other employees just stared at me all amused. The cherry on top was when I was receiving the pizza, I ordered the American Honey, which is suppose to come with hot honey, hence the name?? I asked for it at the finishing station where you can ask for toppings like cheese and such, only because I can see that it did not have any on it. I told the first guy, I saw him nod his head, then stand completely still and not do a single thing. So then I asked for parmesan and he finally did something. The whole time he did not say one word to me, and looked like he was dragged here by his mama to work. So in the end, I got a mediocre pepperoni flatbread with nothing special but with a nice BIG side of attitude and horrible customer service. It felt like being in a pretend pizza shop ran by a bunch of teenagers for mandatory volunteer hours. Like, I've been treated better at shady gas station counters. I highly do not recommend coming here and wasting your time and money.
