Lovely little place that we stumbled upon while vacationing in Italy. There was a solid lunch deal for a reasonable price that was hard to pass up on. The deal was an appetizer to share, two entrees, and two desserts. We ordered the following: -Bruschetta Appetizer: Too bad the bread was tough, it made the appetizer unappetizing. -Pasta Entrees: Carbonara Pasta was so tasty, warm, and creamy - highly recommended! Raviolis - Sauce was too tangy and the portion was small -Desserts: Lemon cake was ok, nothing memorable Chocolate cake was also just ok Overall, you get what you pay for. There was only one server in the entire restaurant which at times was frustrating when we were in need of service. Loved our lunch here. It's nice small & minimalistic restaurant in a very busy tourist area. We wasn't very hungry but were craving good pasta & some nice drink. We were happy with our selection: beer (5€) and rose (6€) and both pastas were delicious! Needed a late night dinner, we're at the Trevi Fountain, looked around for a few blocks and decided to try this place. So glad we did! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and more importantly, the food was DELICIOUS. There were six of us, and we all had something different, but they were all very good. We sampled each other's plates, and while you can't go wrong with any of the dishes, we agreed that the pasta with goat cheese and pepper, and the 4 cheese gnocchi were the stars of the show. The food here is incredible! They worked hard to seat us even though we hadn't made a reservation. The restaurant is small but the flavors are big and incredible. We ordered so many items off the menu and they were all equally as delicious. If I had to point out two menu items specifically I would highlight the gnocchi and the Ragu pasta they were both sooooo good! Absolutely loved Agrodulce. We had 3 courses: bruschetta (3 types), spaghetti carbonara and scallopini al limone. Each dish more delightful than the last. Sauces were so flavorful. Our drinks were made to perfection. And the service was delightful. Turned up without a reservation, sat us on the patio and just let us know they had a reservation coming later so we knew not to make it a loooonnng dinner. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Prices were fantastic. My husband and I love Trevi - we both wished for our beautiful relationship to blossom 4 years ago when we were there. We've declared this our official restaurant whenever we come to Rome. Seriously fantastic. Hard to understand less enthusiastic ratings for us. But then again, we only tried 3 of the 30 or 40 options on the menu. But we were 100% blown away! read more

Should have read more of yelp reviews before deciding on this spot. Our longhaired blonde waitress brought out bread and water after we ordered. Nice touch right? However, they neglect to tell you it is €2/person for bread and €3 for water...by the way we had our water bottles on the table as well. Maybe we aren't familiar with the culture..but this was our stop after Paris and Santorini and we've eaten at places in Rome..but this was the only one that charged us €7 more than needed. Everyone else had vinegar and olive oil with bread-we had to ask for it. We got shaker salt and pepper- the table next to us received a salt grinder. As you can imagine..we were feeling pretty uncomfortable by then. Food was OK. If it was good, it was nothing to write home about. The only thing that was great was the chocolate cake. When the bill came we were pretty surprised at the "cover charges" as was explained to us curtly ;( Hope not to come back. read more

Compared to other places I've tried in Italy, Agrodolce was very quick and provided great customer service. I ordered the calamari ravioli and LOVED IT. Though I am not a fan of peas, this meal was still AMAZING. The portion size was perfect and enough to satisfy me! Delicious! Stopped here based on other positive reviews, and was not disappointed! We had the lunch special of bruschetta, pasta and dessert. The bruschetta was toasty, warm, and the tomatoes were perfectly fresh and salty. I ordered the pappardelle with white meat sauce and my partner ordered the bolognese. The pasta is home-made! Don't be fooled by the plain looking display in the photos - both orders were phenomenal and the *perfect* portion size! Very filling, robust, and cooked al dente. The dessert was also perfectly portioned. I ordered panna cotta, and my tablemate ordered tiramisu. The panna cotta is the best I've ever had! Rich chocolate covered the deliciously light flavored custard, a lovely pairing. The tiramisu was much enjoyed by my partner; it was authentic and tasted of good coffee. (I am not much a coffee fan personally, but it was very nice). All a steal for 16€ each! A must if you want an authentic experience! read more

I came here because like others are saying, the price is more than reasonable for the location. I ordered the shrimp ravioli and it wasn't bad but not amazing. My boyfriend had some sort of beef pasta with mushrooms which I believe was better than my plate but I feel like both were missing something to make it more memorable. It was a bit annoying because they brought out bread with our wine & ended up charging us extra for it even though we didn't ask for it. The food is inexpensive but the drinks are pricey so be prepared to still spend a pretty penny because what's pasta without wine?? Excellent and friendly staff with inexpensive, delicious authentic Italian food. They were helpful in explaining the menu and made a custom dish for my vegetarian wife. Tourists beware. Poor customer service. They do not mention the €9 cover charge so simply having the "privilege" to eat there where they tell you outside their restaurant that you can eat there for €16 to have an appetizer of bruschetta, and entree, and a small dessert. Waitress was rude when my husband and I suggested we share a meal as we always do. Did not mention there was a charge for water. Brought us a whole pizza that was not cut into slices, asked if we wanted dessert after we finished eating which means she forgot to write down our tiramisu order that we placed already. When we complained about the cover charge and not being told about it upfront, they claimed they would remove it only to see that they only removed €4 of the €9 charge, but at that point the service was so bad and we just wanted to move on with our day without them ruining it. read more
