We had the Original Argrus's. It was delicious. Bread was toasted. Service was excellent and the gal behind the counter helped us and let us know our sandwich would be done in 10 min. They have the best bread they use for their sub sandwiches. Better than the famous sub sandwich places. It's the bread that stands out the most. And of course their house sauce or spread is tasty. Service is also good! Could be more enthusiastic. Ambiance is ok,!I like the fact that they are dog friendly. One of the staff even ask to let our other dog come in, it was a golden retriever. it makes it very personable. Love this place, their sub sandwiches is super yummy and I always get the garlic cheesy bread with sauce. Rincon Rez needed a new spot to eat and Agrusas stepped up. They do not disappoint! When you walk in to the clean restaurant, you are greeted by a team of pretty, smiling ladies (occasionally a man) waiting to tantalize your taste buds by making you a delicious sub.... After eating there many times, I have decided my favorite is the pastrami with all the fixings with only the bread toasted. There are many other delicious subs but when you're hungry and that pastrami gets stuck in your head, that's what you gotta get. Call ahead if youre in a hurry so that those nice ladies will have it ready and don't have to see you pout and puffin' because quality takes time bro! Next time youre out this way partying at the casino or passing through to have fun in the back country, stop by and treat yourself to a delicious sandwich. I'm very biased when giving my opinion on Agrusa's but that's because it's my favorite sandwich spot in the Escondido area. It's nice to have something different other at the casino that isn't SmashBurger or fine dining. I could eat their food everyday for the rest of my life and having one less than a mile from home drives home my point even more. The service is great and quality control is strict. They have beer too! I've only ever had their #22 but that's because it's the best they one they have. If you're not too busy crushing sandwiches then try their potato salad or spaghetti. read more

The food is really good. The bread they use is exceptional. I would suggest that you get the sandwich size that you plan to eat at that moment. The leftover sandwiches are not quite as charming. The setting is inside of an old Subway sandwich location, and while it is not especially exciting, I do believe there is a lot of room for potential. I wouldn't say the individuals who work there are "nice." I would say they are benign but not rude... they just are not not very friendly. That said, I'm reviewing them based on their food, and their sandwiches are pretty good. Give them a try, and form your own opinion! read more

It is definitely not like the original Agrusa's. However, Rincon has a pretty great sandwich. We did a walk-in takeout order. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes, and there were a few people ahead of us and also some that had ordered. Nice clean restroom for customers. Oh! The cookie ice cream sandwich. I LOVE Agrusa's and was so happy when they opened the Rincon store. I must say after abt 6-7 times eating here that I like the Escondido restaurant better. They put more meat than in Rincon. Placed a phone order went to pick but my sandwich had no trimming after I said yes to trimming. Problem is I didn't look at my order till I got home then had to drive back and had the manager I guess scold me because I don't know how to order but I've been ordering here since it opened with the same order yet this time it came out wrong or so they say I didn't order the rite way . I even bought an extra sandwich and still got horrible experience here . Management doesn't know how to treat customers.
