A real challenge to get a class A motorhome level. You would think when making a new campground the sites would be level. Most sites short only 37 ft. Today's rvs are much larger. If you have a trailer it easier to level. Most staff very helpful but the main ranger thinks he is a drill sergeant with attitude. We wanted to see the actual park before coming as this new loop we had never seen. We were at another state park and had reservations for this park. No way. You have to pick off the website that does not show accurately the way you will face. So our site got all afternoon sun. We couldn't even enjoy the outside with such hot conditions. Five star campground if sites were level and the jerk ranger wasn't here.

We usually spend the days at the beach where we can dock our boats, however this year people left all their easy ups on the beach all night long and we weren't able to get a spot. My daughter reported this to the ranger who said he noticed and would go talk to them, but it happened again Saturday night. This isn't fair to everyone and I can't understand why the rules aren't being enforced. Everyone should be able to have a chance to get a spot at the beach if they get up early and so desire. We love to have our family reunion there every year, but this year was disappointing.

It is just at the end of the London Bridge to your left; the right side is the brewery. It is a free location; the other one on the other side charges $25 to enter. This one does not, but also not many people go here; this is more known to locals, not tourists. Has a playground and dog park, so yes, lots of dogs here; you can rent boats and jet skis here, and you can jog and just have a family day if you want to. I took a walk through the entire area and took a nice dip in the lake. Loved it; the water was nice, especially on a hot sunny day, and the view was amazing. Oh my gosh Father's Day weekend was nuts with the people, lack of parking, boaters, jet skiis, too loud with everyone's music going at the same time!! Just packed. Never going on holiday weekend again. My favorite time to go is weekdays. Not busy at all, much more peaceful and not as many boats as on holiday weekends. I can spend the whole day at this place & my dogs love it too!!

Everyone knew each other and everyone was super friendly. You never have to worry about being unsafe in any situation here. Everyone waves, helps you out, feeds you, and shares! The amenities are really good. Bath houses are super clean and there is always hot water. General store was awesome. A great place to get hot coffee in the morning if you don't have a way to make it yourself, which we didn't. The river is beautiful. Even on Memorial Day weekend, I didn't find it to be too crowded. Even when everyone was bringing in the boats, everyone was patient and collected. People here are all about relaxing and having a good time with their friends. I can't wait to come back!

Scheduled time and met the next day 6/22/19 at dock with Robert and everything was smooth. Full tank of gas and extra life vests offered to us. End time was 6:30pm and Robert was there waiting and drive right up to trailer and out of water. Great experience and will use them again. Some good memories for the family.... Update: Aug 23-24,2019- a last second run to the river for a quick weekend trip and our friends rented a waverunner (I own my own now). The gal who helped over the phone was accommodating, patient and very helpful. Offering to get us setup with a waverunner and on water that same afternoon within an hour so that we can ride that day and keep for two days. We agreed to arrangements and waverunner was at the launch waiting as we pulled up with extra life vests and two empty gas containers to refill at local stations (not at expensive dock gas) to keep us running during weekend... Great start to an unplanned trip....Great pricing and tons of fun (again!!) ... (will try to add more photos)

One of the skis didnt even make it out of the launch before it died so we had 1 ski and a pontoon boat that was falling apart. We lost the first hour with the guys looking at the ski that never started up and the last 2 hours because the boat finally gave up. No apologies or offer of a discount Ruined our weekend!!!
