I was out on a job today to try and fix a shower installed by Aiello Home Service's I've never seen anything this sloppy in 40 years as a ceramic contractor. They do not itemize any parts or labor on their invoices just a price. Our main line sewer pipe had clogged on a Thursday afternoon so seeing recent billboards advertising "$93 or its free" mainline clearing I called to set an appointment. They sent out a tech (Brody C.) to my home Friday morning to snake the line to what he claimed was 75 feet with no mention of resistance and even wrote on his report that "the water was flowing", and once he was done he waited for another tech (Angelo D.) to arrive with a camera to inspect the line. Long story short the camera tech (Angelo D.) advised me that my pipe had collapsed (first time he said at 24 feet, then shortly after that said it collapsed at 10 feet). He proceeded to work up a price quote to dig up my yard, under my deck, through my driveway out to the street, replace all the pipe up to 70 feet all to the tune of $25,000. At the end of our conversation Angelo told me that "my house is out of service and no water could be used". After hearing this news I needed a second opinion so I called a sewer specialist company(Bristol/Terryville septic and sewer), which they were out to my home that same afternoon. Their tech ran a few tests with water flow (toilet flushing, bathtub running for the duration of work time) because he "found it VERY difficult to believe that our clay pipe had collapsed" and found that there was no water backing up. To be absolutely sure he decided to run his snake through the line to see if there was any blockages, he ran 75 feet with an auger blade and ran into no resistance, then to be even more sure he connected an extension and ran another 60 feet for a total of 130 feet with no sign of blockage or collapsed pipe. I ended up paying the second company $250 to do the job Aiello Home services claimed they were unable to do. I called and spoke to a quite snarky representative named Ty who wanted to play the wording game when I told him I should be refunded my $93 because they admittedly not done their job. My bigger issue with this event is, how many people would this company take advantage of by just going along with their advice and gotten screwed out of $25,000 plus the cost of repairing their driveway and other work they would not completely rebuild ? Also as a side note Angelo the camera tech misidentified the location and running pattern of the sewer line through my driveway (his equipment was actually identifying my city water line into the house). Very predatory company, do not buy into their bait and switch "promotions" in the name of saving a buck, Its not worth the headache ! read more

I will add comments similar to many of the others: Do not trust these people. I have used Aiello several times over the past 15 years, and have always found them expensive. Each time I wanted to get a second opinion, but somehow every time the needed repair was "URGENT'" or so the technician implied. The last time I called them I was determined to get a second opinion even if I had to go without heat for a time. They quoted a boiler repair at around $1400, and recommended an additional $1100 of work that 'should be done'. I declined all the repairs, which seemed to really annoy the tech - he pushed back, not all that nicely, trying to get me to agree. I stood firm. The work was done by another company for $480, instead of $1400. I asked this company to check the boiler completely for any additional work needed. They proclaimed the additional work recommended by Aiello to be completely unnecessary! Aiello upsells mercilessly and dishonestly. Hire them at your peril! read more

I had a clogged sink and called this company to help us out. At first we were told it would going to cost $528 to replace the trap and snap the drain. Then we were told it would be $528 to snake the drain and another $528 to replace the trap. We were then told we needed to change the garbage disposal. All we needed was the drain unclogged. Unfortunately I was at work and they took advantage of my wife not knowing about plumbing. When I called and asked why I was charged $528 to snake my drain they said "it is what it is". Disgusting, how you take advantage of people like this. I am a disabled veteran that served my country and this is how you treat your customers. Horrible company. read more

"We contacted Aiello due to the furnace in my condo not working largely because there was a sticker on the equipment presumably from a visit 4+ years ago. This appointment was made for Tuesday 11/15. The Tech came in for FIRST VISIT and replaced a number of parts for over $3,000, but after all of this said we needed a new 'mother board' and he would be back Thursday or Friday when the part came in. After zero contact by Aiello on Friday 11/18, my son in law reached out and was told that they don't know where the part is (coming from TX) and it might be here by Monday or Tuesday. Why we were told Thursday/Friday AND then were not contacted by the company to tell us there was a delay....lack of customer service (trend..). Tuesday, we get a text in the morning that a tech was on their way for SECOND VISIT, my son in law takes 1/2 day off work and meets the tech. Mother board is replaced and we finally have heat after a week. 5 days later on Saturday we have no heat again. We reach out to Aiello, they contact their tech, the tech says there is almost no chance they can get there Saturday or Sunday and that we would need to reach back out to customer service to schedule. Exasperated, I do that, schedule a tech for Monday AND ask the customer service rep to have the owner/manager CALL ME since this is now the THIRD VISIT to fix our furnace AND ask that they schedule the tech for after 2pm so my son in law wouldn't have to take time off from work. NO ONE CALLS ever AND to boot we get a text at 10:15am that the tech is on their way. Son in law takes another 1/2 day off work, tech shows up and "fixes" the problem with new part, that happens to by the same new part he replaced on 11/15. I call the company to speak to someone again, NO ONE CALLS back (11/28). Also of note, before the tech leaves after the 3rd VISIT, by son in law asks them to clean up the zip ties, old parts and trash he leaves behind each time, and to ask why we can't get the cover back on the furnace. He says the new part won't allow it and suggests we just put a piece of card board in place with holds in it as a new cover.....this is a gas furnace with burners and they want us to replace a metal cover with a piece of card board....?????? Guess what....on 12/3 the heat is not working again....we call...no sense of urgency to help a customer out given this is now the FOURTH VISIT. I speak to Monica and tell not request Monica that the appointment needs to be after 2pm so my son in law doesn't need to take another 1/2 day off work. I also tell her that I need to speak to an owner/manager asap, she tells me that she will reach out to Keith. We get a text on Monday morning saying a tech was on their way...son in law takes another 1/2 day off work, tech shows up with supervisor and find out that the part which has been replaced now 2 times already was the wrong voltage and now they have the right part. Before they show up I reach out to Keith and ask why have our requests for appts after 2pm been ignored. He says he is not sure, that there is no note in system and he would call me after they fixed furnace......NO CALL EVER. I in the meantime call Monica, who doesn't take my call to find out if/why my request for an appointment after 2pm was ignored for the second time....NO CALL EVER. So my conclusion off Aiello....If you want the worst customer experience ever, get charged over $3,000 in labor and parts for likely was a $100 fix and have that fix take FOUR VISITS when least convenient to the customer ....call Aiello POST SCRIPT 6/2/2023 ....Days heat up and time to turn on a/c......not working....guess who we don't call...Aiello...we call a more reputable hvac company to fix the a/c...nothing wrong with the a/c other than it was wired incorrectly when someone "fixed" the furnace. Yes Aiello strikes again for a $500 fix....good news, the suggestion that a piece of cardboard be added to replace the furnace cover....well within 5 minutes the company that fixed the a/c figured out what was wrong and was able to put original cover back on... Wish I read these reviews before I hired them. They charged me $2100 to fix a central air unit. They said they cleaned out a mouse nest, replaced a few chewed wires, and replaced a Capicitor. The unit worked for a few days and then stopped again. I called them back since they supposedly did the initial work and this time the tech said I needed a whole new AC unit. I said no thanks I'll get a second opinion. To make a long story short another company came and got the unit working for $268.00!!! They found another nest, about 3 inches of acorns inside the unit that was supposedly cleaned and two more wires that were chewed up. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST! read more

These guys are awful-- they told me $90 for the home visit, eventually charged like $210 to inspect my leak (something about a large vehicle he brought or maybe because he had to open the wood? I have no idea) but whatever, plumbing is expensive. The diagnosis? It's not a plumbing problem, it's a tile problem. He explained the problem and it was incomprehensible to an idiot like me. Tile guy comes the next day, says it is a plumbing problem, not a tile problem. Try to contact Aiello to get the guy I paid $200 to to explain the problem to the tile guy. No one contacts me. I have to get another plumber-- guess what? It's a tile problem, but this guy takes the time to hand it off to the tile company. Aiello is awful. Don't work with them. read more

We have a cape style home but wanted air conditioning so mini splits were the answer. We met with multiple installers. Aiello Home Services offered the units we wanted (Mitsubishi) and provided both the electrical upgrade and installation at a competetive price and at our convenience. They texted and called when on their way. A few delightful surprises included an overhead light installed on our basement ceiling, replacing a hideous electrical pipe outside, and when we pointed out that the black electrical connecting wires were unsightly, they came out within the week and covered them with attractive white PVC AFTER we had paid! This is the first time we hired them but we will continue to use Aiello's for our plumbing and electrical needs because they were polite, clean, prompt and reponded quickly. read more

I would like to say these are the works people to have come and fix your ac. We have had three people here to fix the air conditioning, they sent one was an electrician he was nice but they sent the wrong guy, the next one came put up a ladder checked the temp and said oh its hot I can not go up there. Now you picked this job you should do your job. Nope he left. Number three came he said what we said the same thing my mom myself and my husband said it is the fan blower that died. So it took three people to be here and one agreed and told us the part would be here in about two days we'll from Monday to Thursday they still did not order it and we called 5hem again and asked were is the part oh we have to order it it will be in on Tuesday . Called Aiello for servicing a clogged tub. Over the phone we were told there was a $99 dollar service fee. We were fine with that. They got to our house 3 hours early without asking us if that would work. It was very inconvenient as I work from home and had meetings that I had to ask others to cover for me. The plumber got here and told us there was a $599 flat service fee! That would have been nice to know before scheduling the appointment. Do not call them unless you want to pay over $600 for a clogged tub. read more

Some months have passed - and our family was hesitant to do a review, just in case things have improved, but they have not. Our shower/tub was replaced by this company - they described this change as much simpler than it turned out to be. Portions of our flooring have been destroyed - again, beyond what was shared, and a great deal of the walls need replastering. With all of these drastic changes, we were hopeful that your company could refer us to someone who could complete this work - since it was beyond your expertise. We did not receive help from the contractor assigned nor the admin. when phoned. A great of time was shared, and funds spent - with no support or follow-up. Remodeling is a heavy weight for family's to bear - and this company has not made it a smooth process. We will not be using the services again. read more

I had such a pleasant experience with Aiello Home Services, and with Stephen S., the technician who came out to install my new thermostats. First, when I called to schedule my appointment, the girl on the phone was very friendly to deal with. She had many appointments available to choose from, which made it convenient for me to pick one that best suited my schedule. Then, the day of the appointment, I received a phone call 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival (they give you a 4 hour window and then call a half hour before to let you know the specific time) and she let me know the technician's name and when he would be arriving. Stephen arrived right as I was expecting him, he was very polite and professional, and he even wore shoe covers in my house - he was very clean and respectful. The actual installation went great. Stephen was knowledgeable and had my new system up and running in no time. He also was very patient and took the time to help me download the app on my phone that corresponds with the new thermostats. He made sure I understood everything, offered some great tips, and asked if I had any questions. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured. He also let me know about some additional home services Aiello can help me out with. I'm so impressed by the whole experience that I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. $598 to snake out our main drain. He was here for less than an hour. Best part was that there so little of a clog and then we were told he was 99 percent sure our septic system was full. Waiting on the septic company now. Can help but wonder if that's all the problem was. How can an hour of work with zero parts replaced cost $598? read more

With all the bad reviews, how does this company stay in business? My experience had to do with furnace outage repair. The tech diagnosed the problem as a bad electrical relay and quoted a price to repair of $1,267 (+ $99 service call charge) which I agreed to even though it seemed excessive. A couple of days later, I checked to see how much the part cost at retail, and found out it was $200. I contacted Aiello and asked for a breakdown of the bill into parts and labor and was informed that the company "policy" was to just quote and bill for total service. So; there it is! A duplicitous way to overcharge customers and create unwarranted profits. I wish I had checked this Yelp site before contacting them. I won't make the same mistake again. This company is the worst for any plumbing. I just had a new kitchen floor installed and needed my gas stove disconnected and connected. I called the company and the girl said its 99.00 for the first half hour. They sent Bob out to disconnect and he gives me a bill for 697.00. This is way overpriced but what was I to do the floor installers were arriving right after. No special work was done. He was only here 10 minutes. He could have returned the same day if I had known they were open until 10pm. I called the manager there and all I got was a bunch of bull. He offered to send a lousy 35.00 to me. He claims the guy returned to turn the gas back on. I called around for prices and they were much lower and yes they are insured plumbers as well. If I could give 0 stars I would. Communication is absolutely horrible and the info they give you is false. They basically try to scam you by telling you that you need this and that for $25,000 but then do the least amount of work to try to fix the problem for a hell of a lot cheaper. It's been almost 3 weeks since I had someone to come out to snake and camera my sewer. I was told which i have proof of that I could get the camera footage of the sewer. 2 weeks went by and I hear nothing back from the guy, meanwhile i try to contact him every day. I finally get in touch with a manager that was absolutely useless telling me that they don't give the camera footage to customers and that it wouldn't even work now that it's backed up. The come to your home, do the least amount of work to not fix the problem, then make it seem like a big problem and charge you so much money! Definitely scamming people for money. We used Aiello to convert to gas and install a new water heater, and since it was installed, we've had problems with the heater leaking, water pressure, and temperature. I contacted them the week after it was installed, and, after a few emails, the plumber stopped responding. Then I contacted them in March and set up an appointment, but the following week, the pandemic started, so I canceled the appointment. I tried to reach out earlier today, and I was told that I would be charged for someone to come out and an additional cost to cover parts because it was outside of the warranty. I let them know I contacted them back in March--before the one-year mark--but canceled because of the pandemic. They offered to waive the fee for having someone come out--$65--but I would still be charged for the parts, since their policy only covers them for one year. On top of that, we paid for their "Service Partner" program, but was not called for a system check, like it states in the contract, and the $1000 credit, apparently, didn't apply to this. Money well spent, eh? I understand following policies and procedures, but I assumed that there would be exceptions, considering the current state of the world, especially to service a system that cost over $10k. The person who helped was kind and helpful, but, unfortunately, they lost a customer. read more

Was told my appointment slot was 7-8. called at 8. They said while usually first appointment of the day is. 7-8 today it is 8-9 but they forgot to tell me. They said the driver was on his way. arrived at 9:10. Unfriendly. Newly purchased home. Oil had run out. Was told to order it, delivery was the next day. Tech told me I would need to have the lines primed. Offered to put in 10 gallons of diesel to do so. Told me the cost was about 300. Approved as I was told the oil company may not be able to do it and they may need to come back out. Bill ended up being over 500. and it turns out he only primed one tank. Terrible experience. Aiello serviced the condo above me recently. Here are the facts as I know them: 1. Aiello services a clog directly above my condo that is causing sewage backup. This was called in by my neighbor. This clog was, without question, above me in the line and was not effecting my unit. I have not yet heard the name Aiello. 2. 3 days pass. I receive a call from my neighbor saying water appears to be coming from my basement door. Soon thereafter, I discover my condo has been defecated on, quite literally. The origin point of the river of poo is the bathroom directly beneath the bathroom Aiello serviced three days prior. Having not been in the condo over those three days, and the bathroom having had no use over that time, I immediately suspect the Aiello service is related to my issue. 3. My condo is now uninhabitable and has 5 figures worth of damage, not to mention a whole lot of poop and pee spread across two floors. 4. Aiello quotes me $1200+ to fix the clog, which did not exist until after their recent service of a backup directly above me. I am non-plussed. I get a second quote and get the unclogging done for $250 total. 5. Aiello has been combative in even accepting the possibility the clog on Tuesday was related to the destroyed condo immediately thereafter. 6. Manager Scott appears to be unprofessional, combative, and now unethical. Midway through a contentious phone call during which he was clearly attempting to get me to say specific things, he became frustrated at his failure to get the sound bite and gave up the goat: This call is being recorded. Great work. You now possess an illegal recording in a 2 Party state demonstrating how awful this company is. I will update this review as the situation unfolds, but as of now my condo can not be lived in and Aiello has tried to blame everyone but the obvious suspect, which is themselves. Had they taken a better tact, one aimed at addressing the problem that from all accounts appears to be caused by their work on the unit above, I wouldn't be here writing this review. Nope. We needed to get a new toilet installed and didn't have (or want to spend) time to figure it out ourselves. First impression - Aiello's guy never showed up during the service window we were given. After we called to inquire about what happened, they said someone on their end got it wrong in the system, then offered to have someone come the next day - and they'd waive the $49 fee (which is just for showing up to assess the issue). When we initially asked how much it'd cost to install a toilet, they said "we don't have standard prices" and they'd need to take a look. Figured it'd be simple enough - Lowe's charges somewhere in the $200 range. Next day, we had a couple other contractors over finishing up a project and our electrician laughed and laughed when we said Aiello was coming by to install a toilet. He warned us that they'd try to hit us for $500 -- which was the exact truth. The Aiello guy arrived, looked at the toilet, looked at his price sheet, and within 2 minutes gave us a quote of $500 to install a toilet we'd already bought. He also said he couldn't budge on price because there was a standard price sheet (which the employee on the phone said they didn't have, which is why they need to gouge you for $49 to 'come take a look'). So nah, we said, and our someone from our electrician's team (also a general contractor) offered to install it for $200 on the spot. Deal! See ya never, Aiello. read more

Woke up on Sunday morning to find the expansion tank on my water heater was leaking. After calling several companies Aiello was the only company with someone available to come out that day to look at problem. They only quote total price to fix the problem with no breakdown, take it or leave it. Because I live in a townhouse style condo and the leak was affecting my neighbor as well I reluctantly agreed to the $573.75 cost. Jose replaced my old expansion tank with a Watts tank available on line for less than $55 in about 20 minutes. While the job he did was effective and efficient I just want to warn others to beware of Aiello's pricing practice. $500 to install the tank in less than 20 minutes is outrageous. At the age of 75 I can no longer physically do these types of jobs myself but there have to be other companies out there that will not take advantage of elderly customers. Call them. Don't even think about using these thieves. read more

Aiello was very expensive. The plumber told us what an involved job it was going to be and quoted us $2,900 without written details. The job took less than 4 hours and involved removing a garbage disposal, replacing under sink pipes and putting a new faucet in. It turned out to be about $500/hour in labor. Beware that Aiello does not charge by the hour but has their own "job codes". The quality was adequate. The company did give us $400 back after we discussed situation with a manager. read more

Technician came to investigate why AC is not cooling. Checked condenser and found system was low on refrigerant. He presented an option of charging the AC for $3,600 and or replacing the complete unit. We decided to replace the unit at a later time. Technician charged $99 + Fuel Surcharge and left. Since then AC is dead... fan that was working before has stopped working as well. Now, I am in a situation worst than it was before as the ventilation has stopped completely. Aiello Home Services came out today to do an energy audit. Initially I thought they were very knowledgeable and thorough. Three techs came out and they were all over checking things, changing light bulbs, sealing around doors etc. As I was leaving the house right after they left, I thought to myself, let me double check what the techs told me they did. To my surprise the lights were left on in some rooms of the house and the sliding glass door to the back yard was unlocked with the board that was sitting in the base to prevent it from being pryed open removed. If I would have left the house without checking the lights would have been on all day (hence energy loss) and the house would have been unsecured (sliding glass door unlocked). I didn't even know they opened the sliding door or needed to. It's not used because it's winter, I don't know what made me decide to check it but I'm glad I did. read more

Needed a Sat. appointment, so waited an extra week for that appointment, for a clogged tub drain that I was unable to unclog myself. Had to ask for time window of appointment, was given 8-9 am. When 10 am arrived and I hadn't heard from or seen anyone, I called. After the receptionist checked was told tech was about to call me (yeah, right) to say he couldn't come for appointment because he didn't have snake on the truck! How many plumbers have you ever run across that don't have a snake on the truck??!! I'm guessing the "tech" wasn't a plumber. Won't ever be calling these guys again! read more

I had regularly scheduled maintenance on my AC (which they installed 7 years ago and took them 5 years to make it work right, another story). In the process I signed up for their "service contract" where they charge ~$30 per month and you get annual service on your AC and heat. I'm a believer in regular maintenance so even though they charge high prices for work, I like that someone looks at it every year. They scheduled the regular service 2 months ago for today, which I thought was a little late, but thats what they had. Well my regular service happened to fall on the first 90+ degree day of the year and guess what. An hour before they were supposed to show up they called to cancel because "a technician had personal problems". Such BS. I know they are now charging triple for emergency service because they can, and because they already have my money. Why would they come to my house. No matter that I rescheduled my daughters appt. so I could be home for this. And the reschedule date is in 3 weeks, which if we have another heat wave will be rescheduled again I"m sure. High prices and unreliable service, what's not to love. Canceling my contract with them today. read more

Price gouging. $550 to remove stuck Moen shower cartridge. $99 service call plus $440 to dig out stuck cartridge. About 1 hour total including travel. We had tools and parts. We took handle and clip out just couldn't get cartridge out. Normally if cartridge wasn't stuck it would take about 5 minutes to do this job. read more

Do not use this company. I was looking for help to connect existing wiring for a new bathroom fan which was already mounted. The wiring cables in the manual didn't match up with my wiring and the ceiling fan light wasn't working. Justin said it would cost $400 to properly connect the wiring. What a rip off. Aside from that, he was very rude and unfriendly. He was at my house for 5 minutes and cost me $80 for service visit. called the Aiello office before April 30th, 2022 and made an appointment on May 17th, between 8-9 am, and waited home the due day until 9:40, then called the company and get an answer says they were trying to get back to me for an reschedule less than 24 hours before, and needed to reschedule it to June sometime. I had to schedule the time off from work for this a week before, with such a short notice of re-scheduling would certainly got me off. So I just had a electrician from Aiello Home Services out to my home who charged me $70 to come out ad tell me that if I wanted him to locate my electric problem it would be $300 an hour and I should call someone else .....lazy bastard so I did I called Aiello Home Services back and explained what their employee said the manager Robert said tim wouldn't say that .... it's a company of lazy people ripping you off by charging you $70 to do nothing but show up and tell you to call someone else or pay 289 on top of the 70 to maybe find your issue in the next 45 minutes or maybe not at which point you have lost 45 minutes of your life with an unpleasant lazy man and the interaction cost you 355 read more

Our furnace stopped working as some workers shut off the master switch. Due to a cold snap the pipes to radiator to a porch area had burst. Our heating company asked that we call a plumber to rectify the issue. Aiello was first to respond and said they would be out the next day at 9:00am they did not show till 1pm. They asked for an upfront $85 to assess the situation. That was fine as they found where the porch could be isolated. In their review they pointed out a lot of potential issues and gave us a price of approximately $6k. As we are selling the house we just wanted a quick clean fix to isolate the problematic porch area, fix a water fill valve and reintroduce water to the heating system. The came back with a price of$2k for two hours of work. We said no thank you. We found a plumber the next day that did the work for $400. I'd give the 5 stars for quick response but 1 overall as their prices were totally unreasonable Be careful about all the up selling you might experience read more
