Please be wary of this company. I really dislike leaving bad reviews but I think people need to be aware of what they may encounter when hiring this plumbing company. Aina1 was able to come and repair a cracked toilet seal in our apartment in Waikiki, it was a rush job and they came out to take a look. After their assessment "Karen" sent an estimate via text message for the repair of $890 plus tax to replace a toilet bowl. We agreed and their tech came out the next day. It was not the easiest repair, and did take longer than expected. However, the total came to $1641.36!!!! Ok, we agreed to the service so we paid the bill immediately without question. Although we would have appreciated a heads up that the repair was going to be far more expensive than the estimate. Fast forward a little over a month later and we now need to replace the toilet tank for the same toilet. Something we had talked to "Karen" about. After 3 attempts at contacting the company. "Karen" had READ all our texts and did not reply to them. Like one of the Yelp reviews below also mentioned , she GHOSTED us too! I am so disappointed and dismayed. We did not even question that their cost ended up being far above their estimate on the invoice, we paid on time, and communicated respectfully with them throughout our repair and afterwards. If they can read a text, they can also send a quick reply with a simple "we are sorry but we are booked" or "unfortunately, we don't do those kinds of repairs" or "your poops are enormous and we're too scared to return" But we apparently didn't even deserve the dignity of a response- even after spending $1641.00 with the company. Sadly, I don't recommend Aina1 Plumbing anymore. FOLLOW UP: A few hours after posting my initial review, Karen finally reached out to me via text and apologized for not responding to us. She explained that she has been sick before Christmas and that also the weeks were short after the holidays. She also said she is unable to respond here on Yelp, therefore I've amended my review to 3 stars. read more

We had a very slow draining shower and then our toilet stopped working. Literally, any time we tried to flush it would back up. We asked around and someone recommended Aina 1 for their plumbing services. I called and Karen was able to send out a plumber the very next day- and I had called late in the day too. The worker was very nice and efficient and eventually pulled a shaver head out of the toilet- it had fallen in and gotten stuck. Recommend Aina1 for all your plumbing needs! Hoping I wont have to use them in the future, but if I need to, I know who to call. read more

We were told that our sewer line connecting to the C&C line was broken and it would take an excavator and at least a couple days to dig down to the pipe to repair it. We called 'Aina1 as well as a few other recommended plumbing companies. Suffice to say 'Aina1 was the only company that responded favorably. They were courteous, punctual, respectful, thoughtful and true to their word. They in fact were able to fix the problem within an hour, with minimal impact, and the team they dispatched were also very respectful and professional, explaining and showing us the issue and repair. Their quote to us too was very fair and reasonable. We definitely would highly recommend their team! read more

I have never written a one star review before but as a consumer, I feel like I was scammed by Aina 1. I asked Aina 1 Plumbing to change the cartridge of my leaking shower. Karen helped me over the phone. On the day of the service, their plumber came and looked at the shower and after ten minutes, he said he cannot remove the nut in my shower handle because it's frozen. He told me, in order to get to the cartridge, he will need to saw off the shower handle and sleeve, which means I will not be able to use my shower unless I have a new shower trim to install. Since I didn't have a new trim on hand, we decided to postpone the fix until I purchase the new trim. Karen said they will charge me one full hour for that ten minute visit from the plumber even if the work was not successfully completed. She also said she can help me get the new trim for $120. My gut told me that something was off so I told them not to order the trim for me. I also told Karen that I shouldn't be charged for the one hour since no work was done. She said it accounts for the trip by the plumber and her phone customer service. After a couple of emails asking if I can speak to their management to request for a reduced bill, no reply was made from Karen - she ghosted me. She merely sent an email that had a "Pay Now" button for the one hour charge. I had to pay the bill because there was no one else to talk to and it seemed like a dead end. I subsequently had to call a different company to do the work especially because Karen stopped communicating with me. The new plumber that came easily removed the shower handle nut using the correct Allen wrench and successfully completed the work within 30 minutes. I already bought a new trim but it wasn't needed. My shower is now working perfectly. I emailed Karen again for a refund of my payment and she has not replied to my email. As a consumer, I really feel their behavior is deceitful. I will subsequently complain to the BBB. read more

Extremely disappointed with the lack of knowledge and craftsmanship. The technician was 1 hour late to the installation appointment. I hired them to install a new water heater for my townhouse. I supplied several 3/8 comp X 7/8 16 PLYMR braided lines as well as 3/4 in. FIP x 3/4 in. FIP x 18 in. Copper Water Heater Connector 7/8 in. that a licensed plumber suggested I purchase before the installation. Little did I know I would be charged for ALL the parts which only one was used. I emailed the owner and Karen contacted me after I pointed out the discrepancy (which she was very rude.) I expressed to the technician about my hopes in the near future to upgrade the electrical panel, which he used as the excuse to why there was no hot water. The technician INSISTED arrogantly that he did his job and the problem was with the electrical. I then had to hire a licensed electrician to verify that it was nothing to do with electrical. After verifying I then had to hire ANOTHER plumber to FINALLY troubleshoot the issue, which ultimately had to do with the plumbing. Never going through this half ass company EVER AGAIN!!! read more

We called a plumber for a difficult faucet / disposal install. I choose Aina 1 after checking BBB website for complaints. They call taker on the phone was very polite and scheduled my install for the next day. Keal'i called saying he was running early and showed up two hours early!!! He removed / installed our parts. Explained where to get replacement parts, was polite, cleaned everything up when he was done and the charges for the service were exactly what we were told they would be!! No rounding up on the hourly rate, none of that. I hated having to call a plumber. I love trying to "do it myself" even if I fail in order to learn. For plumbing, I will call Aina 1 from now on. I had a pretty bad gas line leak that demanded replacement rather than repair. Kyle and his team estimated 4 days of work to put in approximately 165' of new line, putting in a new plastic-type line that will last longer than the steel pipe that made it 14 years. While trenches were unavoidable, his team did a good job of repair to my yard. Everything works great. Was not cheap but the work was very good. read more
