This is a frustrating review to write because I've used Mario for 3+ years for regular HVAC tune…read moreups with no issue. He's always been responsive, helpful, and did a great job. However, I recently had a horrible experience with him and his team. Our HVAC unit wasn't working and we called Mario and his team to repair. They charged us $2,350 for a few pounds of refrigerant, sealant and 3-4 hours of labor. When the work was done, they claimed that they'd used gauges and detected that the leak was sealed. We sent a $545 payment on June 3 for the refrigerant and labor, a $350 payment on June 5 for the sealant and labor a $1,500 payment on June 12 for the repair of the leak. I asked for detailed receipts of the work four separate times and the detailed receipts were never sent over. On top of that, a few weeks later we had the same exact issue with our HVAC unit. When we called a different repair person, the refrigerant had dropped significantly AGAIN and we were told that the unit was still leaking. We reached out to Mario various times asking for receipts and explaining our frustration. As of today, we've gotten no response, no refund, and no promise to return and look into why the leak that they claimed that they'd fixed was not fixed. All in all we're out almost $2,400 with no true fix to the HVAC issue that we called Mario & his team for to begin with. I'm willing to remove this review or bump up my ratings if I get some sort of response. But at this point we've been waiting for a response and requesting receipts for over a month with no action.

Because of the Canadian fires/smoke, we could not even open the windows. Here is the kicker...the Trane HVAC unit is under warranty. Allen Heating and Cooling replaced the motherboard, then the blower motor, then the micro chip that talks to the motherboard and blower motor. Still wasn't working. The only thing left to replace was the wiring harness. The owner of Allen called the factory to explain everything they had done and asked for the wiring harness they had in the display model on their showroom floor. He was denied. He asked if they would send their top technician to repair it...he was denied. I purchased a portable unit to cool one room for $337.00. This at least gave us one room to escape the heat. We ended up buying a whole new Rheem unit to the tune of $4080.00 from Allen Heating. Allen Heating only handles emergency calls on weekends. However, they asked for volunteers to work Saturday and install the new unit because of the dire situation with our health issues. The technicians showed up Saturday morning at 8:15 a.m. to install the new unit, and by noontime, we had a working unit. They were polite and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend Allen Heating and Cooling!! I strongly suggest you purchase anything other than a Trane HVAC unit since they don't honor their warranty. We are planning on taking legal action against the manufacturer for not honoring the warranty, and for punitive damages, my husband and I suffered.

Last week in the 90 degree heat, my air conditioner broke down. The tech from Allen Heating and…read moreAir Conditioning came on Tuesday and diagnosed the problem as a bad circuit board. The part was ordered and would arrive on Friday. At times during the week, the house temp reached over 91 degrees so I was happy when the repair was made Friday afternoon. However, when I returned Friday evening, the air conditioner was not running again. An on-call technician arrived and discovered the water sensor had activated and turned the system off. The drip pan had water in it and this was caused by a line that was not primed after restarting the unit. Allen has taken the position that I am responsible for an emergency call and a new sensor with installation. This will make the cost of the repairs over $1,000! I have asked to speak to the owner or someone managing the office but have been told the owner is out of town for several weeks. Repairing an AC unit means making sure it is running the way it should - NOT doing an incomplete job. This could have been avoided by making sure everything was working properly. The lack of accountability by Allen is unacceptable!
