They offer different flavor lemonades. I had to add water to mine because it was too sweet but tart at the same time. I had I ordered the turkey tip and jerk chicken combo. Also had the jerk salmon with spaghetti. Now my daughter said her food was good. I didn't personally taste her. My combo came with fries and the flavor on both meats didn't miss. Called to place a delivery order. The site says delivery orders require a minimum order of $50, which is fine and understandable. But once I called in I was told they don't deliver, when I informed the person on the phone that the site says they deliver, I was told "I must be on the wrong site", I was certain it was correct because I called using the phone number on the site. But still I confirmed the address with the person on the phone and told them the site definitely says they deliver on the home page, I was then was told something to the effect of "oh well sorry, we don't deliver", the entire conversation had a less than welcoming tone and lacked any semblance of good customer service. Herk Soule' is a tad further than I would've liked to go for takeout... but it was so worth it! The portions a large, and the food is great. I particularly liked the jerk sauce that got more tang from its garlic than it's vinegar. But here's the clencher: the online order was ready when I got there, and the cashier showed me every order in it's box, before loading-up, ensuring the order was correct! I even saw a celebrity, Cortez Smith, Nuck from The Chi. He held the door for me, he's such a gentleman and easy on the eyes. lol. My food was delicious. Nice size portions. I ordered the jerk shrimp with macaroni and cheese and cabbage and a whole chicken mixed with a side of cabbage. My cabbage was a little over cooked to me, it was a little mushy, it didn't have the crunch I like my cabbage to have, my husband said it was good. The price is what got me, I spent a little over $60 for chicken and shrimp and a side of cabbage. We both felt that was expensive. Jerk Soule is a new restaurant with a lot of potential to stand out as a Jamaican spot on the south side, thanks to its high-quality customer service. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner and given samples of the jerk chicken, which was a welcoming gesture that set the business apart for me. The jerk chicken is well-seasoned inside and out, but it lacks the pronounced smoky taste of traditional jerk chicken since it isn't cooked on a Chicago-staple aquarium smoker or charcoal grill. I ordered the jerk rib tips, and my partner had the oxtail plate. All the meats were very tender and flavorful, but the absence of the grill's smoke and texture was noticeable. I didn't enjoy the barbecue sauce on the jerk tips as much, as I was expecting a savory jerk flavor. Instead, it was a sweet and savory mix that didn't quite hit the mark for me, though others might love it. We had sweet potatoes, cabbage, and the default rice and peas. Each of the sides was good but not amazing. The recipes have a bit of a kick, presumably from the scotch bonnet, so heads up if you're not a fan of heat. Personally, I enjoyed them. The price was reasonable, and the service was great.
