GOD AWFUL COMPANY! Run, don't walk to the nearest exit. If I could give no stars, that would be generous. This company is perhaps the worst company I have ever dealt with. I live in a luxury high rise in FLL. This company was on a list of approved vendors allowed into the building. Unfortunately, the list was alphabetical and I chose the first name that appeared. On October 18, 2023, I called them to service an HVAC in my apartment that was not producing heat. I watched the tech spend over an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. In my opinion, he had no clue what he was doing. I left the room for a few minutes and when I returned, he had removed an expensive Wi-Fi thermostat that communicated with a smart app with a non Wi-Fi thermostat, leaving me with no remote option to control the heat. I was told my thermostat was faulty. I was charged $325.00 for the new thermostat. When he left, the system was producing heat. The problem was the tech never stayed to see if the system would shut off. THE TECH ALSO LEFT WITH MY WI-FI- THERMOSTAT, without telling me he was taking it. When I went to use the heat for the first time, it never shut off. I had the building engineer come to check the system. After careful examination, he removed the new thermostat, undid the maze of jumper wires and gave me an inexpensive thermostat to hold me over until I replaced that with a Wi-Fi thermostat. So now I call the company to complain and ask for a refund. I spoke with Brittney, who represented herself as a supervisor with the company. I explained the situation and requested a refund. Brittney took the position that they did nothing wrong and no refund was offered. I suggested we split the difference. 'No' to that as well. I told her I would write a scathing review (which I realized once I got to the review page, I was in the majority of one star reviews, so I see why she didn't care. She did call me back and offer a one year maintenance contract, but I explained that I was selling the condo and certainly wouldn't want them back in my apartment anyway. I did tell her that I would make sure that their company was removed from the approved vendor list for my building and she promptly told me I would hear from their legal department if I did that. Now that's customer service! Incidentally, after discussing my situation with our building management, they have been removed from the approved vendor's list. Lastly, where is my expensive Wi-Fi thermostat? Why did he take it without permission? We needed our compressor replaced. Air Around the Clock made an error and brought the wrong part to our house. We then had to wait four days for the new part to be installed. They brought us 1 in home unit that covers 600ft of cooling for our 2000+ ft square home but, it was better than nothing. When I called however, the supervisor at Air Around the Clock refused to give us any compensation for their error and our added time without ac. She said she "could not" when in reality it's "not willing to". When our AC went out everyone warned me that around the clock was a rip off and to call their guy. Unfortunately around the clock sold us our unit so I thought we would get better service. I was wrong. If you know someone who has a trustworthy and reliable guy, go with them. read more

3 1/2 years ago I had them install brand new American Standard air conditioner. Twice this summer it has gone out. My a/c went out on Saturday evening. It was late and the place was not that hot so I decided to wait until Monday morning to avoid the $175 weekend charge. That evening I sent an email to them. I called them Monday morning at 9:30. Rheysaid they would call me. They had just serviced my unit 2 months ago. By noon I did not hear from them so I called. They then told me they would be there between one and four. I tried to be patient but I work from home and this was now impacting my job. Considering they were just out 2 months previously I called them back and told them that was not acceptable. They had the tech call me. When I spoke with him he said he was on his way. An hour later he had not arrived. I called him. He denied telling me he was on his way. Then sent me a text message saying he was 15 minutes away. By this time I called the company again and they told me there was nothing they could do and that they could not get someone out any sooner. He finally showed up 45 minutes later...blaming traffic. The technician checked my inside unit, went downstairs and checked the outside unit, came back upstairs one last time before going back down. 20-30 minutes later I was concerned that I had not heard anything. I looked outside and the panel had been removed but he was not there. I went downstairs. He was returning about the same time. He then told me I needed a new part and wasn't even aware that this AC was still under warranty. He originally said my capacitor was low and that these things happened because of usage. I called a friend he knows about A/C units and put it on speakerphone so he could tell this person what he was twlling me. A capacitor has a life expetancy of 10-20 years. Furthermore he said that the voltage was supposed to be 35 and it was only at 32. Actually, it is not until it gets to 25 that it will affect the a/c unit. After we challenged him started backtracking and denying that he said the capacitor was the cause. He finally said the connector was bad. The part would be covered but the labor would not. He said he did not have the part with him but was going to get it from another tech. I paid for the labor and he left to get the part. That was around 5:00. By 6:47 I had not heard from him. I sent him a text. He proceeds to call me and tell me he is stuck in traffic. When I ask where he had to go to get the part he cannot tell me. All he can say is that it was north. Around 7:30 I finally see the van pulling into the complex. I went upstairs because I am now hot, angry, and totally exhauated from this whole ordeal. My b/f was dealing with him now. When he came down the sidewalk he turned as if he was going ro my door but then kept walking. My boyfriend was calling to him but he ignored him. Finally he caught up with him and he came over to replace the connector. My b/f started watching him. He was standing at least 6 feet away and smoking a cigarette. The tech suddenly walked away. Finally he told my boyfriend that tje cigarette smoke was bothering him and he had to go get water because he felt like he was going to vomit. Then the tech makes some comment along the lines that he is not gay and cannot work with my boyfriend watching him. I am inside my bedroom and hear him talking and telling him that it is because the capicator is low and that he tried to tell us that. He then said he was going to install one to prove his point. That did not work. So now it is well past 8:00 and he tells me the compressor is blown. Now I have an a/c unit that is less than 4 years old and is not working. He denied he said anythimg about the capicator to my b/f. He proceeds to tell me how he had done me a favor by going to get the part and he will never do anyone any favors again. This is a terrible company to do business with: We had previously used them for air conditioning maintenance with a 2 year contract (because they offer to come twice a year / lies it's only once and a minimal discount if repairs are needed) This year we began having issues with our unit dripping water. We call them to send a tech and to renew the 2yr maintenance contract for $400. The tech came, collected the money, checked the unit and advised it needed repairs for an additional $400 (with their discount) which he couldn't do and had to schedule another tech. BTW we didn't receive a copy of the contract, we called and they told us it would be in the mail. We called and asked if the copy of the contract would be sent with the next tech. The next tech came in with an incorrect copy of the contract, but did the repair anyway. We called and asked if they could e-mail a copy of the contract. They said no, it had to be sent by mail. A week later, no copy received and the unit started dripping water again. We called, again requested the copy by email (gave them my email) and asked for a tech who would come between 12 and 3pm. The day of the appointment came, 4pm and the tech was a no show. I called them, they tracked down the tech and he showed up; he was in a pissy mood, made remarks about the crappy job the previous techs did and fixed the AC unit. When I asked what should we do if he breaks again, his remark was "you keep calling the company"... The tech left and didn't leave the copy of the order that he just completed. The next day I called the copy, got yet another rep on the phone who offered to email the contract (BTW every time I called and spoke to a different rep, and confirmed my email, they were using the wrong one, again and again I kept giving them the correct one)... This las rep offered to email the copy of the last work order and the updated contract and she would call me back. 7 or 8 hours later, no copy, no call, no satisfaction. So I keep calling, getting different reps, no supervisors because apparently they never have any because they keep refusing to put any on the phone. At this point, I don't think I will get any follow ups, any paperwork, and my AC unit will probably break again and in 1 or 2 weeks I will go through the same crap with this people. Do not pay for their maintenance agreements, do not even bother trying to get any results. All their employees are understaffed, improperly trained, my wife is still hot with anger, Mr. Michael Lang (their made for TV showman) if you read this, I hope you're enjoying your cool A/C. I purchased one in unit for my condo approx 2 yrs ago and then a second unit I needed another one the same yr. I ask for a yearly maintenance contract to service both unit last month a fellow came out and was here maybe 10 minutes and says "all done" $377 which i paid . Two days later I am told I am flooding the apartment below me. And yes it was my ac over flowing drain pan. Upon looking Nothing apparently was done except put a hose in the drain line and blow. Update: Had the broken AC repaired ($600 cost what they claim to be labor only) the whole job from the minute the tech arrived at 1030 am til the moment he called me saying work was done, installed, and checked for completion was 2 hours. Air Around the Clock charges a $100 an hour for labor. One guy installed a new compressor and it took 2 hours and they have the nerve to charge $600 for what is supposed to be the cost of labor only as the AC was bought new and still under warranty (2 year old machine). If you want to buy a brand new AC from these people, it will be your loss. My experience- two years ago we called AIR AROUND THE CLOCK for a repair and my wife was "talked" into buying a new AC over doing a repair. What we ended up with after spending close to $4000 dollars on a new two-ton ( indoor - outdoor ) unit is a dead compressor after just two years! The AC has stopped working and whoever you talk to at AIR AROUND THE CLOCK has a million excuses for the lemon AC they sold us. Poor customer service, think about it- a major component dead with an "almost new " AC (who knows they may have given us a refurbished one) and they have wiped their hands clean of their responsibility. Now they want $600 just for labor to put in a new compressor accompanied with plenty of nonsense claims that you can buy a car or a fridge brand new and in a couple years it can die on you. We had a wonderful experience with this company. Out of all the companies that have come to our home this one has been the best! We'd been having issues with our 3 units for years and after spending money trying to fix leaking Freon in all the units we were done. To make matters worse, we were also tired of not really knowing why our master bedroom and bath always seemed warm even after lowering the thermostat to 65. I can't tell you how many companies have come here to "fix" this unit. Finally we decided to give this company a try and WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID. I called their office and they scheduled a service representative for the very next day. Their representative Willy came first thing in the morning. He arrived on time with a friendly and helpful attitude. After surveying the units, he confirmed what we suspected - two of the units were on their way out. He then pointed out that one of the issues with our master bedroom condensation unit, which had been replaced 6 years earlier, was that the air handler was 2.5 tons and the newer condensation unit had been replaced with a 1.5 ton. What?! No wonder there was hardly any air in the room. It also had a huge leak. Willy scheduled our job for the next day. I was so impressed with the installation guys he sent. They arrived on time and ready to work. They placed tarps on all walkways and in all a/c closet areas so any debris would not fall on our floor as they removed and installed the units. All manuals, paperwork and permits were stacked neatly for us to review and sign. Once finished, they broom cleaned all the work areas. These guys were FAST. We had three brand new units in a matter of hours not days. I had a great experience with Willy and his team. He knows what he's talking about, the company's prices are reasonable and the guys are hard workers. I highly recommend them. read more

AVOID THIS OVER PROCED COMPANY! We have used AITC in the past, and decided to call them back for a simple repair, literally replace a breaker. The repair tech was friendly, but when it came time to the repair is was $595 to replace a breaker. ($25 part) in less than 8 mins! Then came the "you really should get a kickstart" which was a $65 part, but over $495 'they wanted over $1,100 for two parts totally less than $100, and 15 mins t install. I paid the $95 service call and sent them on their way! Just called two other companies and quoted the same job and parts for $300. My Wife is Hot so I took Their Advice:) Six years ago I bought my AC unit from Air Around the Clock. I'm a huge fan of the Joe Rose Sports Show on WGAM and it was because of Joe's horrible singing of the ATC song that made me hire these guys. Not really, but the fact they have been around for over 30 years and have a 24/7 operation was the real reason. Every time I've called for any maintenance on my unit, the response time has been prompt, and the service was very professional. Recently, I noticed that my AC handler was leaking at the base. I figured my drain line was clogged so I called ATC. They came out the next day and I advised them that since I was working my pop, who's 76, would be at the house. They showed up on time and got to work. That Dreadful Call Don't you hate that call you get from a mechanic working on your car or anything you own that costs lots of money. Well I got that call from the worker Joe. Joe tells me that my coil needs to be cleaned and cleaned badly. He proceeds to tell me it's $425.00 blah blah blah blah. Honestly I didn't hear a word after $425.00. He sounded like all the adults in a Peanuts Cartoon. I'm thinking WTF man. I almost called Joe Rose to see if he could work out a deal for me since he turned me on to these dudes. Instead, I called my wife, we discussed it, and decided to get the work done. Mind you I was just taking this dude Joe's word for it that I needed this work done. ATC has always been straight up with me so I didn't even call another place to get another quote. Joe makes an appointment to come back the next day to clean the coil and drain pan. Oh My! I'm at work again, so my dad meets Joe and they get to business. Joe tells me he will take before and after pictures to show what they did. I didn't ask him to do that, but it was very professional that he did. Well folks, I'm embarrassed to even show you the before pictures, but it's imperative that I do. One word comes to mind: disgusting. I can't believe my family was breathing the air pumped out by my AC coil. More importantly, an air conditioner with dirty coils uses almost 40 percent more energy than one with clean coils. With buildup like this, the cooling function can be reduced by 30 percent or more. The after pictures clearly shows what an excellent job Joe did. I never got to meet him and it wasn't like it was free but I'm appreciative of him and ATC. That was $425.00 well spent. The Verdict This is a great company. I'm not related to anyone who works there or owns it. I will go on the record and say I met Mike Lang (the guy in the ATC commercials) and his wife years ago while eating at the now defunct Gold Coast Grill. This was before he was in the commercials. They are always out and about eating dinner in Coral Springs. They love Big Bear Brewing Company and I'm pretty sure they are fans of The Cook and the Cork too. Anytime I see them I go and say hello, they are really nice people. Mike always told me to call him if I needed something with my AC. Well, I haven't and I'm here to report that I didn't need to. The price was fair and the service was excellent. This is another business that I'm proud to say is in Coral Springs. Just never send the New York Jets truck to my house! When the AC unit was installed, I had to call ATC back twice because my house was not cooling down. Only a year later, once again, I had to call them back 2 times within a month period. It was Memorial Day weekend and was told since the service request was after normal business hours and a holiday, I would have to pay for an after hours service, plus the charge to repair. I had no choice to pay as it was extremely hot. I was then sold a maintenance contract that which covers repairs M-F during work hours. It is another fee after work hours, weekends and holidays. SMH. Their customer service representatives are very argumentative and have no empathy. They arent there to help or even make you feel comfortable in HOT situations. The technician did not make any repairs just simply inspected, also left the AC unit open did not put screws back for the cover. Last week a technician showed up to fix the upstairs ac unit that was not working. He ended up breaking a pvc pipe in the downstairs unit. Air showed up today to fix the problem left and within an hour the AC stopped working. Called the support line and was told and received a text that a rep would be out tonight to resolve. Just got off the phone with their answering g service they can't give me an answer if anyone will show up now. They are referring to a secondary support. On top of this the damage caused by the technician from the first visit is over $2,300'in water damage. Air Around the Clock has informed us through the vendor that they will not cover this cost which their employee did. I have video of damage and the pipe was not broken before their employee touched it. Second with a full maintenance and service contract he was supposed to review the Dow stairs unit so he should have seen the leak. This company truly sucks, they install a new ac in my house that needed all parts replaced in the handler and outside unit. Unit started blinking red they send somebody out that has no dam idea on what is going and does not know how to work the unit , guy ignores the RED blinking light resets the unit. Few weeks go buy to yesterday unit is blinking again and ac is not blowing cold. Another guy comes out and says Compressor is bad and says it's not warranties even through they replaced the compressor. Guy tries to sell me a 5k new ac unit says that is the best option. I get a new ac installed by someone else later to find out the breaker outside the house which powers the outside went bad and compressor was never the issue. Never again will I deal with them. I used to recommend this xompany to everyone. This time they send a techbician who told me the temperature i kept my home at was ridiculous. Twice he said it. And gave me a quote to fix a unit they put in brand new 3 years ago ($5k) to fix a coil that is 'leaking' while the coil is covered under warranty the labor and freon ar $600. And when i am trying to ask questions he is completely cutting me off by just saying by the time i leave you will have cold air... etc etc. Call the office and the lady tells me why dont you just let him finish giving you the quote. They came to change less than 24 inches of copper pipe going from the hot side of the water heater to the house and charged $475.00. Notice, it's all in the open, no having to crawl anywhere or cut drywall. The catch, just to come out it's $95. So your damn if you do and damn if you don't. I give two stars because after I complained about the price and him telling me the reason it's so high is because it is Saturday? What are you serious?? He offered their one year plumbing maintenance agreement. Claims that it is a $200 value with 10% off future work with the $95 visit fee waved. No service company is perfect. However, in my book, Air Around the Clock, where I have a maintenance contract for over 15 years, comes close to it. I have just had an experience that proves my point. It is not that a normal periodic maintenance visit wasn't well done on March 15th. And, we only saw the consequences close to 10 o'clock that night. The reason for my enthusiasm was that the problem was resolved and then some by noon time March 16th! I called at 10 pm Monday and got a live operator who got all the pertinent information. She said that the technical department would see it at 8 am that next morning. However, I was concerned about that and called the Broward number a bit after 8 am Tuesday. Their operator knew all about it and said that I would get a call from their technician giving me his ETA. He did and his visit was one of the very best we ever had. He really was thorough and very professional. Xavier not only corrected the problem, but went on to improve the operation and show us a mold problem we'd never suspected. And, there are many like him at Air Around the Clock. He has the parts and the tools he needs right in the truck. And, takes initiative. Worst A/C company ever!! Bought a new A/C less than two years ago and its stopped working a week after they installed it because a fuse burnt out. It broke again right after the first year warranty was over. Every six months its a broken fuse or something. They don't take responsibility for their shitty units. Do not recommend at all! I have to continue to pay off this shitty unit while having to pay for all repairs necessary! Stay away from this company 100%! A/C units are supposed to last 10 years cant imagine the headache ahead dealing with these incompetent people and my still owed shitty A/C unit! Good luck yall! I wish I could give zero stars. Called about a 1 year-old unit that was running hot. They did come out immediately, did a leak check ($495) and found a leak in the main air handler coil. Said the part was under warranty, but that the labor was not, and the charge for the install was going to be $1,095. Tech said install would take less than 2 hours. Over a week later, no part, and no explanation, so I gave up and called another company. The other company was able to procure the part from their distributor immediately and informed me that BOTH the part AND THE LABOR are covered under the warranty. I called AATC and asked for an owner to call to explain why they intended to charge me $1,095 for labor for which they were going to be reimbursed by the manufacturer and have yet to receive that call. My stepmother had a new system installed complete with air handler, condenser, evaporator coil, new thermostat, etc... the invoice states a one year guarantee on parts and labor, 10 year warranty on A/C equipment... 6 months later they refused to recognize the warranty and charged us over $400 for a new low voltage wire installation. Thankfully there are so many other Air Conditioner companies out there, making it easy to find one who is reputable and reliable; Air Around the Clock is not- Go elsewhere! read more

Our air conditioning needed a repair. They gave a free 2nd opinion which was a great service. Scottie came and looked at the problem and gave a price that was very fair compared to other companies. (even one that I had a contract with) They came and fixed the air conditioning and went over and beyond - replacing the outside filter, replacing the hose in the inside, etc. I would recommend Air Around the Clock. A blower capacitor was failing (after further debug). The service person came, and said whole unit needed replacement. And lied about the age of the unit, I only realized after I saw the date stamp on the unit. Straight to your face lie also, even after a neighbor questioned it, because he remembered when it was put in. Amazing. Don't go to them. read more

ATC has been a pleasure to work with throughout the AC replacement process. I originally planned to change out the system before the pandemic shutdown. After one year, it was finally time to get the unit replaced. I scheduled a proposal appointment less than a week ago and had the system installed on Monday. Mark D. inspected the old system and gave a thorough proposal. His expertise was vast and he made the recommendations for the best Rheem AC system. The existing Rheem system has been reliable for many years. I didn't want to switch brands. After receiving other quotes, the ATC proposal was the one I chose. I had excellent communications with the ATC management and office staff. The installers Ricky and Ronel showed up on time. They had all of the tools and equipment needed for the job. They removed the old equipment, installed the new equipment and cleaned up the job site. They were professional and courteous. The new system is improving this home's air quality! Called to get a x13 motor swap from air handler. Guy comes out and says $1300.00 just for the motor alone. $300 more to install. I had to laugh in his face. The motor is a plug and play programmed from the factory. Besides that the motor was installed by them in 2012 with a 10 yr warranty. The tech tries to lie again and says my a/c factory sticker says the unit is a 2006 so its out of warranty. That doesnt even make sense. Total liar. Who cares what the sticker says. The motor they installed and has now failed still has 2 yrs of warranty left on it and is covered but they refused to honor their word. This company steals money from the uninformed. Professional thieves. I ended up getting an x13 motor for $575.00 installed. Could have actually had an Evergreen motor dropped in for less than that. I only let them do the installation for warranty purposes. I actually could have replaced it myself. Dont trust this company. Go with BAM A/C. Big Air Mechanical. read more

Customer service is terrible. Repairs not completed- vague lies about parts being available/unavailable... technicians each giving different diagnoses regarding ac repairs... salesmen calling to encourage us to replace unit although it is quite new... very upset that they are so untrustworthy and bottom line they have been promising to fix the AC for a week but just collect money without fixing anything. No manager to talk to when I call, I am very upset with how they are treating us as customers. read more

Paid for an emergency service A/C call since the freon seemed to be a little low - (running well, but cooling barely keeping up) suggesting a repeat of a slow leak I had 2 yrs prior in the copper piping attached to outdoor compressor. Service tech was very vague and misrepresented the current freon pressure. I pushed him to check for leaks with the detector, but he ignored me. I didn't get the truth about the pressure being slightly below minimum until he had charged the system with $500 worth of freon without my consent. My system was in need of replacing - so if he had been honest with me, I would NOT have paid for a recharge and went straight to a replacement machine. I asked for a partial refund for the freon cost - or at least a service call refund to make up for the first tech rushing to sell me a $500 freon charge for a machine with a leak - but the company refused. To make things worse, the first tech overfilled the system ( a rookie mistake) and caused everything to stop working. Another service call was made the very next day where finally, a knowledgeable tech told me the system was overfilled and I had a freon leak at the condensor coils - a very pricey repair. Now that the decision was made to replace the A/C system instead of repairing it, I got several estimates for a replacement. Air Around the clock was by far the highest estimate for the same exact install by $1200. I should have checked Yelp and Google reviews before I paid for an emergency call and got a $500 freon charge that I didn't need because BOTH review sites show Air Around the Clock as very unreliable for repairs and very expensive with constant upcharging attempts to milk all the money they can get. My experience was proof that AATC is the worst company you can choose for A/C service. DON 'T DO IT!! read more
