This company is full of crooks they use the ladies in the office to create fake reviews saying how great the company is when it's all lies, i had a service contract with them they sent a tech whole didn't even change the filter he opened the panel looked inside closed it went out to the condenser did not hook up his gauges just talked on his phone the entire time I have him on camera doin this he did not clear the drain line washes his hands outside leaves the water running comes inside with mud on his shoes tells me he checked everything that he didn't sticks me with a high service bill on his way out opens the fridge in my garage and takes my beers and water bottles empties his ashtray on my property n leaves. My unit stopped cooling hours later the same day I called the company back and explained what I just went through just to be put on hold for hours I felt ignored so I called back just to be put through the same thing they don't care about Thier customers the third call the woman who answer was very rude until I told her I was going to cancel and take them to court I asked to speak to a supervisor a guy named Brian who said the techs did Thier job until I told him they were on camera and sent him the footage once I brought up my lawyer and law suit he sent a tech out right away just for the tech to recommend I needed a new control board fan and motor which was working perfectly until there tech left he got on the phone and quoted me $3000.00 fee which I told him he can leave I called a different company and the problem was a blown fuse which he replaced no charge and only charged $85.00 service fee air around the clock is a rip off they all work together to take your money I will never recommend them and I will be seeing them in court... read more

For years they were my "go to" AC repair company. I had the same technician for years and I felt he was always fair. He gave me options to get air working, but also let me know it would not be a long term fix. My most recent visit was a new repairman. He diagnosed a circuit board needed to be replaced to have the compressor to start. He quoted me $500 to solve the issue and had the part on the truck. (I'm assuming it was new but who knows? I have no idea how much the circuit board cost either.) The $95 service call was to be included IF I moved forward with the repair. While I thought the price was high I agreed. The bill came in a $595. Why? Well, i was explained after that the "real" (as opposed to the quoted) price for the part/installation was $695. So with the "included" $95 "service" charge, it came to $595 ($5 discount I guess.) I should have kicked him off of my property and let them sue but felt a call to the office would straighten this out. (After all, it was my word v his but have been a long term customer for 20+ years. I called the office and they stood by the quote. The serviceman lied to me and the office covered for him. In my opinion, this company is now total scam artists. Sad, because I'd heard many negative experiences but until now, felt differently and always used them. I'm now convinced they are cheats. In July I wanted to have 2 air conditioning units serviced (1 unit is 8 years old and the other is 5). I've been using Air Around The Clock for over 7 years. Never had an issue with them, recommended them to many others, BUT when someone tries to con me and lies to me, I feel it is my obligation to let others know. On July 2, I called to schedule general maintenance. The women told me that it was going to be $165 per unit, but, If I took out a yearly plan it was $340 for 2 service calls a year. That's a no brainer for $10 there would be a second service on both units. After the credit card was processed, she said the first available service date was 3 weeks later July 24. I questioned why she didn't mention that up front and got some snippy little answer like I was cheap and that was the policy. OK, the units were working, there was no problem, it could wait. July 24 Damion arrived, I showed him the unit in the attic and the one in the garage. Two hours later, he told my husband that the downstairs unit had ice buildup and he called another technician to come to access the issue. Then came Herby, who told us the coils were iced and leaking. They could be replaced for $1895 which may not solve the problem and strongly suggested we get a new unit for $4300. We chose the new system. That night, the upstairs was not cooling. Sunday morning, AATC sent Herby back. Not only was he NASTY, but CONDESCENDING too. He told us that in addition to the $4300 replacement we needed $595 of new piping for the upstairs and there was nothing he could do to get the upstairs air working. Herby, if you read this, a word to the wise, if a customer already agrees to spend $4300 be nice, you're trying to get more money from them, don't be rude and don't try to intimidate them! As soon as Herby left, I called another company, who sent a tech. Nothing was mentioned about the AATC diagnosis. The honest technician said the downstairs unit was running cold, in very good shape and didn't need any work (what no $4300 replacement, no leaky coils?). I mentioned the ice and the coil, and his response was the filter tray was open and that's why there was condensation and ice. As for the upstairs unit, Damion scraped calcium down the pipes and didn't flush them out. It stopped cooling because someone turned the overflow switch off and I guess Herby just wanted us to suffer without air. Air Around the Clock wanted $4300+ to replace a perfectly good air conditioning unit, they deliberately shut off another working unit so we would suffer in the heat and be grateful to spend more money with them. As of now, 3 weeks later, we have a new trustworthy Air Conditioning company to work with. We did have some work done to repair Damion's error and it was nothing close to the $4900 AATC quoted and surprise, surprise, the downstairs system never needed any work. read more

Called them at 7:30 pm as an emergency to have someone come fix our AC that went out. I told them my wife has health issues and we needed someone to respond that night. They do advertise as 24/7 service. The operator had no idea when it if someone would contact us that night. No one called let alone come out. We received a call around 8:30 the next morning. I told them we called someone else that was more responsive and we had our AC fixed by noon. What a joke. Don't call them and don't think they will even call You back if you do. read more

Technician who diagnosed my AC was less than 10 minutes at my property and I was charged $400 for unclogging my drain lines. They determined my coil was leaking Freon and quoted me $3000 to replace. Technicians have no idea what they're doing. I had 3 different technicians come out, and each one found a different problem, One technician put in a motor that was temporary and the air conditioning work. But the heater didn't work. We asked to have the heater work. Technician came. And then the air conditioning didn't work. Now. A third technician came and nothing works The air conditioner is brand new only two years old,. We called customer service, and all they had to say is we have thousands of customers just like you, and we can't solve the problem until next Week, She got very abrupt and hung up. Now we sat all weekend, in ninety degree weather with no Air conditioning I do not recommend this company at all. Because Once they have you sold? I have no words for the horrific experience we have had with this company. My air was working on Thursday, but staying a consistent 2-3 degrees warmer than the thermostat. We have a service contract , so we called them to come out. In the past, I have had positive experiences, but like many of these reviews say, recently this company has been horrible. The technician appeared to be a third party contractor, he had no shirt or truck identifying himself. I had a schedule time of 2-5 pm and he called from his personal phone saying he would be at my house in 20 min (I was at work at 1130.) he cut me off and talked over me, and tried to tell me my system needed black lights replaced for mold. I persistently asked him what would fix this issue TODAY and he kept repeating a part. He told me my contract wasn't valid, and when I called the office, they said it was. He replaced what he thought the problem was, and it didn't work, so he said he would have to order a part and left without telling me. He called me later on his personal cell trying to sell me a new unit for "1000 off" and then said he ordered the part. He provided no information timeframe or cost, and when I called The office she said she would get back to me. She had no cares about it his unprofessionalism and said a supervisor would call me back. No one did. It's now two days later, I got a text that they would be here today 9-12, and no one called to tell me that actually it would be Tuesday because of the long weekend. Again, no supervisors, no on call managers, just an overworked lady answering with no answers. My air was working when they came, and now it doesn't work at all. And there is no one to call to help. He told me I needed a new unit and the cost would be $6800. He left and about a half hour later the air went off again. I called the 24 hour line to try to get an idea where this magic button was. It was the least they could do is tell since I paid $195 for the tech to press a button and leave. About 2 minutes of work. I called around 830pm. I got a return call at 730am a message was left telling me the tech left the new unit information. I received another call around 9am. Basically telling me the same thing. Air Around the Clock (company) is a total Fraud. Between June 29, 2023, and July 7, 2023 I paid a total of $1,622 for service and labor for the installation of a new evaporator coil (under manufacture warranty). The evaporator coil installed was too big and they forced it in, damaging the case of the unit. After the coil was installed, they told me that the unit was rusty. I have been without a/c since the 1st day this company came and charged me the $1,622. After many attempts to make it work, today a supervisor told me that they cannot fix this unit because of the corrosion problem. Also, this company failed to disclose the corrosion problem in the first place. I have been dealing with Airs Around the Clock for an entire week and I am still without a/c and without my money so I requested either to fix it or to refund my money but he declined my request. Is this a responsible way to do business? I will not recommend this company at all! read more

A new unit was installed in May. We visit our Florida home once every 5 weeks and the system never works. We have had to stay in a hotel several times, we arrive and the apartment is 80 degrees. Each time, we then waste a day with a service call. We leave and the unit stops working. No confidence the system will ever be good. We have suggested that the new system should be changed, is a lemon, but Air around the Clock refuses to install a new unit. Today's service call did not get the apartment under 74 degrees, that is not acceptable for a brand new system! read more

We've worked with Air Around the Clock for over 4 years. Sadly this experience was not like the others. The first technician they sent tore apart our package unit (Steven) and without running any diagnostics said the motor needed replacing. He returned an hour later and spent the next 4 hours sitting in his air conditioned van smoking cigarette after cigarette. He emerged from the van for a few minutes here and there to install the motor only to announce that the mother board needed to be replaced. He left to get the motherboard promising to install that evening. He didn't show up again until the next morning. He left our unit exposed to the weather and wires and screws on the ground. A ladder was left propped up against the house. When he did return the next day, he clearly had no clue how to install the board, claiming the wiring was all wrong. After an hour - mostly spent in the van googling answers, he grabbed his ladder and drove off never to be seen again. Fortunately for us, a new tech was sent 3 hours later (at my insistence). Dane-Roy was at the top of his game, he correctly installed the mother board and diagnosed the problem in minutes. Quickly cool air was flowing! He identified a problem with the thermostat and installed a new one - only leaving after he knew the system was functioning properly. The lesson learned is that Air Around the Clock is only as good as the tech they send. All are not created equal. read more

I have been a customer of ATC for over three decades with multiple homes, today the ATC tech answered my call for service on my main unit. It was the condenser capacitor which the tech replaced in 5 minutes. The capacitor was $5 but ATC charged $265 for the service. It is time to shop around for a new ac supplier and maintenance work as ATC is now in a position of apparently taking advantage of it's customers. Apparently that happens when a company's growth is so great they feel obliged taking advantage of customers. It is really a shame on the owner and his business philosophy as he pretends to be a man of the people. Never again! Another funny thing about this operation is the girl claiming to be the so-called owner only responds to 5 STAR ratings, ignoring all others, and her responses are of 2 or 3 cut'n'paste responses, brilliant. read more

The technician Rolin came in with tunnel vision of selling me a new unit. Yes it is getting old. Was trying to get it fixed for my mother in-law 97th birthday party. I told Rolin that the compressor was shutting off. I had to beg him to hook up gauges. Was full of Freon and pressures were good. All he wanted to do was sell me a new unit. He said that the coils were a solid block of ice. I said if that was true you would have no airflow out the vents. Yes the coils were dirty but that's not the problem. Rolin can't fix a sandwich let alone fix my ac. Finally I told him to go since he didn't want to perform any more diagnostic and find the root cause. The root cause was the capacitor for the compressor. I called and spoke to Brenda Lee about getting all or some of my $231 dollars back since Rolin was to lazy or didn't know how to diagnose. I asked to speak with someone in charge, she told me no one was there. If Mike Lang had a set of stones he would call me. This company should be called thieves around the clock. read more

I purchased a new 3 ton home unit in April 2020. In three years I've spent $1;500 in repairs. My last situation was a misdiagnosis they caused that cost me $325. I've been using Air Around the Clock for their Maintenance contracts for my A/C for years. Highly recommended; my A/C works great, and I get two maintenance visits per year. They flush the pipes, check everything, and change my filter while they're here. My A/C works great, even during the summer! I signed a contract earlier this year and had my 1st scheduled maintenance this Friday. I asked him to make sure the line was clear as it has a tendency to clog and the tech told me everything looked good, the line was clear etc. That was Friday...by Sunday I came home to find my ac not cooling and my unit flooding the inside of my house. When I called to request emergency service (was in queue for over :20 minutes waiting for someone to answer) I was told they didn't have any service techs available and the earliest they could come would be Monday. They weren't able to confirm a time for Monday either. EPIC FAILURE...do not be fooled by their advertising and they don't stand behind their contract either. They just plain take your money!!! Air Around the Clock is trying to tell me that the issues with my (brand new) a/c handler and compressor (bought from AIR AROUND THE CLOCK) is not the new units but that it is the pipes getting clogged telling me that it's the main a/c pipe in building not the a/c. I don't believe what they are trying to tell me. I bought the new a/c (from AIR AROUND THE CLOCK) unit 7 months ago I have had issues with the a/c not working 4 times since the "new" unit was installed. They keep telling me it is the main pipe of the building, not the a/c unit. If it was the pipe in the building then why is NO ONE else in the building having issues?? Then they want to sell me a $1,700 warranty and the a/c tech from Thursday shows up at my front door UNANNOUNCED (no call, no text, no appointment made to come to my residence) to try to intimidate me for the warranty check. read more

I purchase a a/c unit in June 2022. I had to call and have it repaired twice since it would not turn off. The second repair was needed since the first repair do not fix the problem. The unit was repaired and worked fine until this Saturday when the the temperture hit 45 degrees. Unfortunately for us the heat would not turn on. I called the company Saturday morning and was told I would have to pay $195 to have an emergency repair visit. Can you believe after spending $5500 on this unit back In June I would have to pay for a repair visit. I declined and was told a repair visit would be set for Monday . They replaced my a/c unit 2 years ago. I am a seasonal Florida resident and since replacement, every year I have to call them because the drain would be blocked. I just had them last week and was told to purchase their 5 year extended warranty which I did. When I read the contract, this is what it said:time. Homeowner paid in full by check #486 of $995 for 5 year extended labor warranty from date of install of 09/15/2020. What this means is that my purchase of a 5 year warranty is only a 3 year warranty since it was from the date of install. I immediately called them to cancel and was told that I will receive a check for only $800. and was charged 195. just to blow air through the drain. What a ripoff. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I deeply regret that I did not read the Yelp Reviews before I had them install a new A/C unit for my dad in Delray Beach 10 days ago. Since the installation of a new unit, which cost $6300, there have been multiple issues. We have had several different technicians out to deal with a leaky drain line, low freon, and a cracked tray which caused a leak. On top of all of these issues, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. They are rude on the phone and do not seem to care at all that we are having these troubles with a brand new unit. The supervisor I spoke with did not seem to care whatsoever that we are having these problems and showed no concern for how frustrated I am. We ended up paying for the repair and purchased a service insurance through Air Around the Click for future repairs. Last night the AC stopped blowing cold again. "Air Around the Clock" Service Company gave me an Estimate of $2,800 to replace a $150 Blower Fan, as they said they needed Lift Equipment to lower the A/C unit down from the Ceiling and had to have 4 technicians to complete the Job. I agreed and when they did the work, the technicians did not need the Lift Eqipment and did not need the additional 3 technicians. They completed the replacement of the Blower fan without lowering it from the ceiling as they did the repair with just 1 technician and did not need to Lower the A/C unit from the Ceiliing. The other 3 technicians watched the 1 Tech do all the work as it was completed. They played on their cell phones while it was completed as the 1 senior technician did not need any help for the 1 hour fan replacement. They did not even bring the Lift Equipment from their Truck as it was not needed. So when I ask for a reduction in the price of the $2,800 estimate because only 1 Technician was needed, not 4 and did need the Lift Equipment, they did not reduce the Invoice and still charged me the full $2,800. I was taken advantaged of the Repair as it was very unfair the way they treated me for the cost of replacement of a Blower Fan for $2,800. I will never call "Air Around the Clock" ever again after the way I was treated. read more

A couple of things first I want to say that we've used these folks for years However I am not sure what has happened to the business because they have definitely gone down hill quickly starting with the NASTY receptionist that need to go back to customer service school ! We have a elderly neighbor whose AC went out 2 wks ago we. Called - it took 3 visits and a total of 5-6 days of NO AC in this heat for a 90+ year old widow to get her compressor replaced which was under warranty anyway and was mis diagnosed and when replaced the idiots who replaced it didn't bother to do a through job and failed to check the Freon after they finally replaced the compressor so guess what the AC went out AGAIN!! No empathy or compassion until we got involved to help her get this resolved again. So the moral of the story if you use them beware and stay on top of them and if you're elderly get someone to help u cause they don't care if it's 100 degree out and they've messed up the two times before. I was referred to this company so tried it but wish I had checked yelp first. Rude customer service on phone. Continuously interrupting me and using blanket statements about other companies. Tech did a rushed job in 30 minutes and focused on quoting me a new unit. What they say is covered with a maintenance package was not done so I requested a manager. They sent a senior tech and he did a thorough job. If you do decide to use them and they sell you a unit, they provide a customer discount but the prices seemed high to me even with the discount. In terms of scheduling, you can reserve a date then they call you the morning of to let you know the window to be home. I would prefer to know that ahead of time. When I did my 6month follow up they sent a tech that did a great job and did not try to up sell me so I gave them an additional star. I think his name was Kevin. I would not recommend. read more
