They could have put a bandaid on it, but were very honest about a need for a replacement. I thought this would take a few days, but they were ready on Friday to replace it completely. The young men who come out were extremely respectful and even helped keep my cats inside while they went in and out for parts. During and after install, they asked to use my vacuum and cleaned up the whole area, even asking at one point if a spot in my living room was from them. It wasn't, I had been crafting and a few small pieces of paper found their way to the floor. But they would have cleaned it up if I didn't insist it wasn't them. I highly recommend this company. B) Finalize the installation of new 4 zone 30k mini-split (draw vacuum, leak test, and charge). C) Re-install Pioneer system at my sons home a TBD date. A couple of days later the quote came back extremely high at $3500. I immediately called to clarify what the scope of work was that they were quoting. They had the price based on them doing a complete install for my sons home, which wasn't the situation. Once we had the scope clarified, we scheduled items A and B listed above, and had a good working price quote. This morning they showed up and completely forgot our conversation about the actual scope. After a brief conversation to refresh the owner/techs memory, he looked at me, and said not interested, and packed up and left! It was shocking that the service call ended like that. They sent out another technician (Blake) who had a device that allowed him to locate the leak. It was in the cooling system and the unit needed to be replaced. The next day they found the cooling system was under warranty, located a system locally and then installed it. They gave me a quote for the labor which the warranty did not cover. Matt came out that evening and installed the new cooling system. All three technicians were outstanding and knowledgeable and were courteous and did their jobs. Matt who installed the new system was the best technician I have ever seen. Great company with great employees. They did not try to upsell you on anything and even their office researched and found and coordinated the warranty process for us. Our a/c unit was only two years old in a new build house.
