We scheduled an appt with a different company in Pickerington, OH for 7/3 only they scheduled us incorrectly in the computer for the following Friday. Naturally, with our home pushing 90degrees, I was pretty intense on the phone when I called to inquire about our sevicemans tardiness; so I cancelled and started hunting for a new company to come fix our ac. I came across LFR Maintenance and on a stroke of luck, was scheduled for the same day (7/3)!! They had a technician out to our home within 20minutes and it took him 15mins to fix our problem (a common capacitor burnout). I was so excited that they were able to repair our ac unit and within such short notice! That's absolutely incredible; our tech, Ross, was professional and efficient--he finished within minutes before a downpour! Thank you for your awesome service!

Poor communication, mediocre methods…read more My husband and I hired Jim (no contract, cash exchange) to take care of some duct work in our kitchen. We started a major remodel in the beginning of December. Jim was referred to us by a plumber. We checked out his reviews on Homeadvisor and Facebook, and decided he was it. Jim's work was sloppy when he did actually show. A job that he said would take a few days took 4 weeks because each time he did show up he "forgot" material, or said there was a miscommunication about what we asked him to do. He would plan to show up for work and then not show up - when we would call him to check on his status he claimed to be out on emergency. A personal emergency pulled him away from work for over a week, but we did understand this. However when he returned his work was poorly completed and not at all worth what we paid. His last day in our kitchen I called him after inspecting his work to tell him something felt off and asked him to call me back. He never did. I've reported him and his company to the Better Business Bureau.

I searched online and found that Keyser Mechanical was nearby and had strong reviews. I called and Jim answered on the first ring. He said he could be right over and he arrived within 90 minutess. Our 15+ year old coil had failed and he gave us two options, repair and recharge with the expensive R-22 refridgerant or spend a bit more and replace the compressor too. He made it very clear and did not pressure us in one direction but the decision was easy, replace the system. He was booked up for the next several days but offered to come on the following Sunday morning at 9:00am to replace our units. I shared what my budget was and he recommended a solid unit that met our needs and he had lots of experience with. Hot days were on the way before he could do the install, so get this, he refilled our old system with R-22 to tide us over until Sunday, at no extra charge! He contacted us the day before the install date and arrived right on time Sunday at 9:00am. He said it would take 2 hours, and it did. He was friendly, professional and didn't mind me standing over him asking questions as I am a curious sort of person. The system has been in for about a month and is wonderful. No issues, no problems, highly recommended! I wish all contractors were this reliable and professional. Call Jim!!!

I actually went to Toops for a second opinion after the initial company told me I may need to take down a wall, which sounded like too big an undertaking. Cody came out and explained what the plan was, what he noticed as far as my current system and specs, and priced it all out for me. He even waited until I was at a break during my work from home to go over everything. The price was much lower than the initial company and did not require any walls to come down! Mike and Cody quickly got me set up with a new system and answered all the questions I had. As part of the install, they also have free checkups for fall/spring for 2 years after the install which is a great bonus! I had to wait for three weeks for the new gas valve and pilot light assembly, which luckily the water heater did not fault out more than once during the wait. Once parts were in Robert schedule a time and replaced the parts and I'm confident the water heater will operate for many years to come now. The tech could not get case unlocked and they told me I had to call locksmith because I own the generator. So I pay a locksmith to be told there was nothing wrong with lock, should've been my first clue! Then I'm told the control is bad, they have to arrange for another outfit to come out; almost 2 weeks away! I was very upset, no sense of urgency at all! What happens if power goes out? I was told everyone is so busy, bad time yada yada. I called a competitor and unit was FIXED this very day, in less than 2 hours! Waibel didn't want my business, obviously they make too much money.
