I'm hard of hearing and most of the time I manage it very well and people can't tell unless I mention it or ask for reasonable accommodations. I was in line to get my emissions done earlier today and one of the employees got clearly frustrated with me because I kept asking him to repeat his instructions. It's super loud there, which is to be expected, and he got impatient when I followed his instructions incorrectly. I couldn't hear his instructions clearly, couldn't read his lips due to him facing away from me, and he kept repeating his instructions and turning away from me halfway through. Thankfully the rest of my visit went smoothly. Another employee offered to use sign language to communicate with me when I told her I couldn't hear well but it wasn't necessary since I could read her lips when needed. I appreciated her extra effort, patience, and understanding. My experience went smoothly except for my negative interaction. I didn't get his name and I don't want to make a complaint. I just hope he and other employees potentially see this and remember they may be working with customers who have invisible struggles. It's a small thing to some but this is mainly a reminder to be kind. A little more patience and kindness on the first employee's end would have made things much easier for both of us. read more

I went in for my emissions test and I was treated extremely rudely not only on the first day I had to go, but on the second day I had to go both times Bryan was not only rude to my face. He purposefully embarrassed me in front of other customers. Because it went so wrong the first time I was there and I needed to go back with a new gas cap, I waited till the next day to go back thinking maybe Bryan was having a bad day just like me. when I returned the next day, I was very polite and he was a complete jerk to me in front of the entire waiting room full of people I will never go back and Bryan should not be in the customer service industry. I have never had a problem here with the technicians but the current manager Charles P. in the office is extremely rude. I went in to fix a paperwork issue I had after a VIN check. I needed to resolve it before I went to register my new vehicle. I walk into the office which had a window and Charles was sitting at the desk with his head turned. I said "Hello?" and he did not react. I said "Hello?" a little louder to which he did not react. I thought he could not hear me through the glass. I proceeded to a door that led to the testing area but it said "Employees Only" so I didn't enter. I went back to the window and saw a sign saying to ring the bell for service. I rang it but I didn't hear it ring.....still no reaction from Charles. It appeared that he didn't know I was there. I proceeded to knock on the glass at which point Charles turned towards me and rudely stated in a condescending tone, "I'm in a meeting. You need to sit down and wait!" I'm not sure who Charles thinks he is but he could have simply lifted a finger gesturing to me that he will be with me when he can. He was so rude that I asked for his name and he grumbled something unintelligible. He then turned towards continue to ignore me. I saw the side door to the office (which said nothing about no entry) and opened it to ask him his name again. When I opened the door, he threatened me. I told him I didn't hear his name to which he said "You have 30 seconds..." I asked him "Thirty seconds for what?" not knowing if he was going to assault me, shoot me or what. He said "Until I call the police." I told him to go ahead and call the police. Completely rude and unprofessional behavior from someone that is the manager nonetheless. Wait time was crazy at two hours first thing in morning on a Tuesday. Took a ticket and finally made it past the electronic arm. There are two lines for the tests. My line for some reason was moving much slower than the other line. Frustrating. Finally an associate came to check my ticket and pre-check my car. Then my turn for check of gas tank - or whatever the technical term is :) Then waved up and given instructions on what to do for the vehicle - both front windows down, car in park and leave keys (or key fob) in car and wait in waiting area. After watching the tech test my car, it was driven out and to the side. Cashier comes in after checking out another customer and calls out my car make and model. I pay with a credit card and she did let me know there's a $0.50 fee attached but I was fine. Too lazy to write a check. And my car passed - yay! Wait over. read more

After having many emissions test, this was the worst experienced I've ever had. From the moment I pulled into line, an older man with white hair and a white beard was undoubtedly rude, demanding the year of my car and shooing me off into my respective line. This is an emissions center so I'm not expecting five star service, so I brush off the lack of greeting and chalk it up to a busy day. After waiting 45 minutes in line, i'm reading to pass the time and not focus on how 8 cars have already gone in the lane next to me, when the same rude man shouts at me, yells for me to pull up in line more, then comes over to my window and curtly says 'make sure you're paying attention'. I'm honestly baffled at this point. I can understand if he's having a bad day or it's busy and that wait times can be long and it can all be very frustrating. But there's no reason for the manager (I'm assuming as he was dressed in a black polo) to be this unwarranted with an attitude. At the end of the inspection, I approached a very kind lady who worked there who told me she understood that that kind of attitude is not acceptable and he tends to be like that a lot here. I understand if someone is having a bad day but if this is repeat behavior, that's not okay. I could've had a much better experience if even a bit of understanding was thrown my way by the old man. Honestly, the lady I talked to who checked me out was amazing, efficient, and understanding and I'm surprised she was not made manager instead of the man with a bad attitude problem. Air Care Broomfield did not open on time on 3/20/2024. There were more than 30 vehicles waiting on the street to enter the facility and the line did not begin to move until 8:20am. Then, only 3 service bays were open; one line of cars was directed to 2 bays, the other bay had the longest wait time. The fourth inspection lane has been inoperable for some time-no update on when it would be operable. My visit today was over 90 minutes; mostly due to employees diverting one lane of cars to 2 bays with the third lane only assigned to one service bay. Not good management or customer service. They tried to hand me a piece of paper with other locations on it, but I politely declined, as I had an already fussy 18 month old with me. The wait time for this place is horrendous. Arrived 30 minutes before opening and line was already down the street toward Black Rock Coffee. The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a courteous technician, other times the techs are rude and disrespectful toward you and your vehicle. Not recommended but not a whole lot of choices in the area. I'm not sure who it was but it looked like the manager oh the place . When I moved up to the bay the first thing he asked me was if I was coming from another Air Care Colorado . I said no and I asked why . He murmured something and he walked away. So I left the keys inside and went inside the waiting area. Minutes later same guy comes in and points at me and tells me to go outside with him. I was getting annoyed by his attitude but I wanted to stay calm since they were doing the emissions test on my car . I go outside and he asked me if my car was registered (even thou they don't need to see the registration or the title to do the emissions test) I said yes I mean I had a temp plate !!! So I gave him my registration and I asked why he needed it. Again ge just said (with a bad attitude)to go inside and wait . Next thing I k kw he drives the car through the bay and supposedly MY OBD connector was not good and their computer couldn't read my car. Going to get an emissions test is about as fun as trip to the DMV (which usually goes hand and hand with this chore). It is a necessary evil if you want to legally license your car, but man do I dread it! I have lucked out and had newer cars for years and hadn't been in to a testing center in forever. So when I needed one this year I had to research. This testing center is off Parker Road, you actually turn left at the Conoco just past Lincoln (if you are going southbound/towards Main St) , that road is Park Glenn and if you follow it around you will find the entrance to the emissions place. I tell you this because google maps give you some really weird out of the way direction to go and believe me it is just as easy as I made it! I would suggest before you go to check out ACC's website and see what the estimated wait time is for the location you want: http://aircarecolorado.com/locations-and-maps/locations/ This is handy if you are between 2 shops and want to decide based on length of time of the wait. It is updated every 15m and pretty accurate as far as I can tell. Now the center itself isn't exactly luxurious, or even pleasant, it is basically about as nice as a 1970's car wash. They don't heat the waiting area and it is just glass and cement (and you can watch your car go through just like at the car wash). So it isn't going to be comfy trip (especially in the freezing days of winter or sweltering days of summer). However, they are efficient about getting you in and out. Reminder: it is check or cash only and it helps everyone if you write your check while you wait - it makes the attendants happy and so much easier to deal with! I was a little hesitant but the high reviews definitely helped with my decision to go here instead of the other one close to me in Centennial. I went on a Saturday morning and got there a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 am. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had that idea as there were already 3 cars in front of me. The wait time in the line of cars was about 10 minutes and then once my car was in the testing area it took around five minutes total. I also had to do a VIN verification which took all of one minute for the form to be filled out yet they charge an additional $20 for that privilege. A little steep if you ask me! But overall the time from arrival to finish was not too bad and I was able to get everything done that I needed! read more

In the name of saving the environment we ask every motorist to idle their car for over an hour every two years. Typically one of the highest wait times. I have an older car which requires visiting a test station. At 10am Tues the wait time was 1hr 10min. Get there 10 min before opening and it will only be 35min most days. read more

3/18/23 Saturday So this review is for Air Care Colorado, in Parker, where you go to get your emissions test done. Make sure you realize that this place closes at 1pm on Saturdays. It's always busy, so bring your lunch so you have something to do in your car while you wait. They do have a restroom, but you can't just leave your car to go to it, you have to wait until they take your car, then you can go. If you get there after 12pm, remember that IF YOU DO NOT GET TO THE ARM-LIFT and press the button and get a ticket BY 1PM, then you will have to turn your car around and leave. If it is 12:58pm, and you are up there to press the button, do it quickly, and then scoot your car in as far as you can go so that the person behind you can get in too! I was there today, and I was already through the arm, but I looked back at the long line of cars behind the arm. I rolled down my window and told the fella in the car, just sitting at the arm, that he needs to press the button and get through the arm so that more cars can get in before 1pm. Well, he was slow, and then only moved his car so it just barely cleared the arm when it came down. And sure enough, the ACC guy came and told everyone else to turn around and leave. And of course, the man in the car, which is now at the arm, he had a fit and didn't want to leave. I don't blame him one bit (after all, he'd already been waiting for 1 hour.) If that other guy would have pulled forward, there would have been room for 2 more cars to squeeze in. So be considerate of the guy behind you if you are there at closing...PLEASE! When I got there, the sign read that the wait was 39 minutes. By the time it was my turn, 1 hour and 23 minutes had passed, but that is because one of the 2 lanes was shut down because it was not working. How do you review a place that you HAVE to go? It's not like I'm going "ooh! I LOVE the emissions place!" ...but when you gotta go, it's nice to know some info about where you're goin. As someone earlier posted, don't go by Google Maps!! Took me longer to get here as I made a few unnecessary detours thanks to them! Heading South on Parker, turn left at the Conoco station then follow the road around. It will be on your right, but the turn in isn't well marked so keep your eyes peeled for it. This location only has 2 lanes as opposed to 7 like the Aurora one. However, the website shows you the wait times and I opted to drive a few extra minutes to this location for the "28 min" wait rather than the "49 min" wait. When I pulled up, the wait showed "31 mins". Because my car is AWD, I had to be in the Right lane. Even with all the extra AWD cars (this IS Colorado, after all), I was out of there in 20 mins. Had I even a non-AWD car, it appeared some people were out of there in 10 mins! This was on a Monday at 11:00, which is supposed to be a time to avoid as it's usually busy! Great place...wish more government mandated/monopoly services were run as well as this! I've been here a few times this year because of annual requirements and replacing a car, every time has been a good experience. The line moves quickly and the staff was friendly. See earlier posts about the confusion with location. This place is off Parker Rd but is SOUTH of Lincoln.(Yelp & Google show it North of Lincoln, my Apple map has the correct location) Off Parker, turn East at the Conoco station (If you see a Kaiser Permanente office straight ahead, you are on the right track!) the road bends south again and you will see the Air Care facility ahead on the West side of S. I do not recommend this location. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. I took my car in to get the smog test. They tell me that my cars tires were to small which may have just been an equipment issue which is fine. Then they said my cars catalyst converter was showing not ready with no error codes, so I didn't pass. The technician was nice and professional however the same day I took it to the mechanic as the technician stated and my catalyst converter was in perfect running shape. That visit to the mechanic took two days to diagnose and $160 dollars to complete. All so that the mechanic would say it must be something wrong with the machine at this emission testing center. So all that money down the drain for no reason and false information. I just took it to another emissions location and it passed just fine in 10 minutes. I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but $160 is a lot of money wasted for labor when there were no repairs needed. That was a lot of time, money and gas wasted. I don't really believe this review matters for an emissions testing center, but just thought people should know to be cautious about this one. read more

Got here on a Monday after work and the wait was less than five minutes!! As we all know, going to get emmission/VIN verification can be a pain! This experience was actually extremely painless and I was helped in less than five minutes and I was out of there in about 20. The only thing I would get a heads up about is if you want to get a VIN verification it costs $20 versus at the DMV it costs $12, however; they do it much faster here. read more
