I agree with other one star reviews. In fact the only one five star review reeks of being "ordered" as it says "it's worth the money I paid for". The company is after ripping you off and If there was a way to put minus in front of those stars I'd given them 5 stars with a minus in front of it!!! Called them to come and fix the old 19 year old unit that kept popping the breaker. Before they came I checked everything I could myself to make sure I do not pay for something stupid. I cleaned the leaves and grass from inside out of the fan unit, checked the capacitor, voltages etc. It still kept popping the breaker. After I called the Air Comfort Solutions-OKC came in and their technician did the same thing I did - he checked the capacitor, the voltages and told me that the unit is old, the compressor is bad and the whole thing needs to be replaced as there are no spare parts to fix it. He charged $129.00 for this "piece of mind" even though he did not do anything at all that added anymore value to what I had already done. I asked him how much would it be to replace the capacitor if it was bad and he said it's another $159 dollars. He said the owner sets the pricing. I checked on-line, the capacitor was only $11.50. This place is a rip-off. His owner came out later in the afternoon to give an estimate on a new unit. His estimate after "generous" 30% discount was around $12,000.00, which almost gave me a heart attack. We had just replaced a unit in our other house in a different state and it was under $5,000 dollars for a similar size unit. I asked the owner if he has the ENTIRE Saudi Royal family installing AC to justify the cost. He did not believe me that I paid under 5K for similar unit in another state just two years ago. He said prices like this haven't been around ever since he started his business over 30 years ago. I had to actually show him the bill for $4,545.00. He simply laughed at it and said good luck finding anybody cheaper and walked away... he actually told me that I "may be able" to shave off 1K from his estimate by calling the SunTech company but I cannot count on more than 1K off his price. He tried to imply that the SunTech is unprofessional and therefore charges less, but it still charges comparably. His walking away and laughing told me clearly he did not even care about getting my business because from the start he knew I wasn't stupid enough (as the five star reviewer) to "take advantage" of his "generous" offer. Then I called 5 other companies. They came out and their estimates varied from 7.5K to 10K for the same brand unit. When I told them about estimate of 12K from another company they ALL said "It must have been Air Comfort Solutions-OKC". Lessons learned from this experience - Oklahoma HVAC companies overcharge by at least 70% compared to other states for the same type of work AND Air Comfort Solutions-OKC is the WORST and is plain greedy and doesn't care about you as much as they care about the profit. They are not after your business, they are after your money. They act like they are the ELITE and there is no one better. I am glad we shopped around and we actually informed all HVAC sales people that we are collecting 4-5 estimates and are going to go with the best option offered. I could tell it made them compete and we ended up getting a good price (still MUCH higher than in Georgia where we thought they overcharged for everything). My advice - STAY AWAY from Air Comfort Solutions-OKC and do your homework by shopping around. It is a very intense process (shopping around) and each sales person you deal with tries all tricks up their sleeve to get you to buy into their service. But at the end of the day you are going to be stuck with paying the bill and with the AC unit that has to work for years to make your money worth. Imagine if you went with Air Comfort Solutions-OKC and paid 12K just to discover some time later you overpaid 5K that could have paid part of your child's college instead of paying for Air Comfort Solutions-OKC owner's fancy car or ANOTHER golden trinket that he has plenty of on his hands. read more

Air Comfort Solutions: Not a solution anymore! We've used Air Comfort Solutions for heating and air, now electrical and plumbing, too, since about 2000. They put in an AC system in my old house when one of 2 AC units failed. It cost about $8,000 in 2011. Then I moved to my current house and the next year we had to replace the AC unit. ACS wanted $13,000 for a new system and had their supervisor come to negotiate. We settled for about $11,000 and they installed in August of 2012. We have also contracted each year for inspections in summer and fall for heat and air and we felt everything was going OK. Since then. I have ordered electric and plumbing services from them that seemed overpriced, so I started playing closer attention to pricing, service and response time. Our AC went out 8/19/2022. A rep was sent from ACS came and said it was a blower problem- motor and squirrel cage. The 10 year warranty had expired by a few days. The tech never entered the back yard to check the compressor unit, so still don't know if the frozen compressor unit had any damage. I called 8/19 and asked ACS to repair. Peaches said "fine I'll initiate and take care of everything. Not hearing anything, I called 8/20 and asked about progress - they said they had to order a part and were closed on the weekend, so I couldn't find out until Monday. Looked "hinky" to me and they couldn't get the parts for 4 or 5 days. I then contacted Hill & Co. to get it fixed. Hill was there on Monday with the Carrier parts and we tried that, but other things were wrong with the system, so I decided to replace the whole system. I had already paid for the repair, but they gave me credit for the repair. When Hill called ACS, they said our warranty expired in 2021 - I gave them copies of documents showing our contract date of 8/10/2012, when we paid them over $11,000.The unit broke down less than 10 days outside of the 10 year warranty. I think ACS was great, but has changed with new ownership. I can no longer recommend them for anything. Their quotes for a new system were eye-opening: Basic - $12,983 2 year labor warranty Deluxe - $15,983 10 year labor Premium - $21,979 10 year labor, 20 year heat exchanger All of these quotes specified using existing ductwork and two with fancy thermostats. Hill & Company charged me $16,010, which included new copper pipe, new decking in attic, restructured ductwork for efficiency, lifetime labor warranty and other improvements which result in a "premium" unit. Matt Wood at Hill & Co. is my option for the future. Just had new Trane system installed (8/23/2022) - stay tuned.... read more

Both of our air conditioning units went out and ACS came out within 1.5 hours. They were willing to fix our unit because at first that was our request. Upon further thinking, we decided to replace the units due to the fact that both were over 20 years old. Gary (Co-owner) personally came to our house within an hour. He sat with us and discussed our options thoroughly. We enjoyed our visit with him as much as one could when you're buying 2 new units! He had a whole crew out early that next morning (Gary even personally came early that morning to make sure all was well) and had them both in and running great by that afternoon. They were very clean and neat. Although we didn't get a chance to shop around for best price, ACS gave us nice discount because my husband is firefighter. Even though this is a bigger company, every contact we had with ACS from the 1st service guy to come out, to the crew that put in our units, to Gary himself, they make this seem like a small business. I called Matt with Air Comfort Solutions for a plumbing issue after trying to schedule service with Mullin Plumbing for over a month. I called on a Thursday afternoon. He came out and provided a quote first thing Friday morning. I agreed to the quote over the weekend and they were back out here working first thing Monday morning. Matt and his helper were done with job by 330pm! This was a full sewer line replacement in a tiny crawl space under the house...not an easy job for sure, but they stuck it out and made short work of the job. Just to qualify this review, I have been a homeowner for nearly 20 years and this the first review I have ever left. Having worked in the service industry myself, it takes a lot to impress me. That said, I was truly blown away with the service and quick turnaround time by Matt and staff at Air Comfort Solutions. I had another company out to my home due to my unit not cooling the house. I was told I needed a new unit and was quoted a price. I asked questions regarding the unit, the warranty, rebates they had to offer, etc. The guy was was not very knowledgeable or confident in answering any of my questions. This made me uncomfortable, so I opted for a second opinion. I called Air Comfort Solutions. They sent someone out the same day! My unit was diagnosed and a new one was needed. They answered all of my questions and were very patient and knowledgeable. I decided to do business with Air Comfort Solutions and I must say, I'm a happy customer. They had the unit installed the same day! I'm a big believer in, "You get what you pay for". In this case, that's quality, good and fast service, expertise and peace of mind in a warranty of 10 years on the unit!!! read more

I called the plumbing department from Air comfort Solutions back on Black Friday in 2015. We woke to our spare bedroom standing in water. They were quick to come out and find that we had a leak under the foundation. Water was turned off till the following Monday and the leak was repaired. Fast forward to July 8th. My mother was house sitting and noticed we had a wet spot in our yard. I called them again to check out and see what the issue is since I was out of state returning home. The had someone to our house with a few hours. The leak was found and repaired quickly even though it was pouring rain. The plumbing manager Dan was quick to let me know there would be no charge. I highly suggest these guys for your plumbing needs or AC needs. read more

Then it messed up and they sent out Vu, who was great. He figured out there was air in my line. Then Jeff and Dan came out Just to make certain everything looked great with my unit! The owner was at Louie's in Norman and had the manager under control to the point that you could not listen to the jukebox because of a blowout game that he had to listen to. Meanwhile he is playing video golf and not watching the game anyway. These self righteous types need to move to California. Everyone in the bar wanted to listen to music, took a vote. The manager of Louie's was loyal to this White haired gentleman wearing his Air Comfort Solutions golf shirt. Everyone tabbed out and left. Excellent work by your electrical contractor, Jerry Martin. Jerry recently repaired an electrical GFI for us. Our outlet had been out for awhile, and we did not know who to contact, and we found out your company has an electrician, and we have needed electrical work for some time. We were very pleased with his work so we set up an appointment with ACS to have Jerry come back and add another outlet in our family room which we have needed forever. I first had a technician look at my aged AC system. He let me know that my system would not be worth the expense to repair (29 year old system with burned out wiring and rusting parts) and referred me to the advisor. The advisor arrived quickly and gave me some options for a new system. When I chose one, the installers arrived within a 1 1/2 hours with everything to get me going in 4 hours after that. J.T. from Air Comfort Solutions diagnosed our church buildings heating problem (malfunctioning circuit board) and got it fixed and running in two hours. I have had to have Air Comfort Solutions come out to fix many of our old AC units (we have 20) and they have done very well. J.T. feels very safe for a woman to be around and he works hard to get it done quick and done well. I am very pleased with Air Comfort Solutions, prices are good and they have qualified technicians for the job as well as plumbing assistance in one company. I have purchased 2 complete units and have been quiet satisfied. I have used other companies but have lost money in products etc, Air Comfort will tell you like it is. We were VERY pleased with our service! Steven came on a Sunday and was right on time. We were also amazed at the cost of the service. Instead of an hourly rate, ACS charges a service fee.
