We had a shower drain leak from our upstairs bathroom and looked for a local plumber through Yelp. I rarely post Yelp reviews, but my experience with Nick was so professional and positive that I had to share and support this man online. My water heating was not working again, and I wanted to find a lasting solution to this problem, so I called several plumbing companies past midnight (otherwise, it was going to suck having to shower in cold water). I called Nick around 1AM, but he answered with great enthusiasm, and based on his many years of experience and some photos I had taken, Nick not only diagnosed the problem but also gave me a reasonable quote. What I appreciated about Nick was that he was very honest about the problem. He did not try to sell me repairs and services I did not need, unlike some other places I called that same night. I trusted Nick throughout the whole process, and it was the right call. Apparently, my water heater was still under warranty (I only knew this because Nick told me), and I could have the whole unit replaced if I called the manufacturer and if the manufacturer covered it. Of course, speaking to these manufacturer reps and asking them to honor their warranty is always an uphill fight. It's like trying to get your insurance company to cover something, and they will ask you a series of questions designed to introduce doubt and raise issues of alternative causes, to find a way to decline coverage and say some version of "whoops, looks like our shoddy manufacturing wasn't the cause, it must have been [insert bs reason] that was responsible for your water heater not working, not us." I probably would have been out of luck if I had to navigate that process by myself, but Nick guided me and helped me answer all their questions. In the end, the manufacturer said they would replace my water heater free of charge, and Nick only charged me for the labor that he and JR (one of Nick's associates) performed to remove the old unit and install the new one. And let me say, they did a fantastic job with the installation. It looks brand new, organized, and clean. So so much better than the plumbers who did the initial installation of the old water heater. Nick and JR worked very hard in the heat that day, sweating and working in tight conditions. I greatly appreciated their services. I wanted to write this review in support of Nick and his team at Nick's Plumbing. I saw the man working very hard, staying calm and controlled, professional, and friendly the whole time.
