He was constantly slowing down and stopping with a ling of cars behind him. Also be was traveling far below the speed limit. When I finally passed him he was on his phone, looking down and not paying attention to traffic around him. This is during rush hour of people heading home from work. After waking up to a overflowing toilet that was leaking to our lower level... I frantically searched yelp for a plumber. I came across Airborne, called and received a quote. The quote was reasonable considering that they were able to come within the hour. The plumber arrived inspected the disaster then left to go get the required parts. He came back within 30 minutes and fixed our leaky overflowing toilet. We haven't had a problem since and they said if we do to give them a call back (well of course I would since they fixed it to begin with). I have had some disenchanting experiences with YELP on occasion, but today it was spot on for this business. I called on an early Saturday morning with a leak under my kitchen sink. I thought it was a pipe, but it also could also have been a separate issue under the cabinet itself. I spoke directly with Jose who arrived at my house promptly within 30 minutes ( as described.) He did an assessment and described what he thought was wrong as well providing me with an up front quote. (We have been SOAKED in some prior experiences with other plumbers so I was apprehensive.) He removed the problem part and showed me where the issue was. He replaced it and told me how to monitor for any issues. The job was completed within 30 minutes and he was really polite and friendly. Plus the job cost exactly what he had quoted me. I believe our family has found a plumber that we can really stick with and I feel good knowing a specific person that I can call for future issues. I put the word out on my FB for our friends, and wanted to do so on YELP as well. My only concern is that I might sound TOO enthusiastic! Those types of reviews trip the filters and never even show up (no matter how legit.) So I tried to think of something to "mute my tone" so I would please the filters but it just isn't there. One of my friend's commented that I had "found Big Foot" because I was so pleased with this experience and it can be tricky to find positive contracting experiences. read more

The service was done in order to get more money out of us. When Jose came to clear our main lines we were charged each time. The root cause of the problem was always fixed last after running up the bill. During the last service Jose used a small tool that cleared the line for just one week. He wanted to get paid again after just one week and Saturday stated that his work has no warranty. This is the worst experience we've had with a plumber and will never use Airborne again. read more

We used the service before when our upstairs toilet over flooded to the garage and then fixed our garbage disposal for over $400 which was fine however we called him back to fix the toilet lever and Jose wanted to charge $175. Seemed a bit much so went to Home Depot and paid $4.39 for the required part. My toilet has been clogged for a week and I was holding off to see if i'd be able to fix it myself. I bought all the tools suggested by family but no luck. When I stated that it was automatic, he continued to give me the 3rd degree about my blocked telephone number and said they don't usually answer calls from blocked numbers. Snaking a waste line is no mystery to me and I just consider it to be one of the joys of home ownership. I've done it many times even pulling the toilet before I figured out where the cleanout was. 'nuff said. Last week, recovering from a nasty cold, I was feeling lazy & decided this time I would write a check & call it a day. I called about a half dozen local rooter companies & left a simple message. "Pull commode & cable the line. Give me an idea what I'm looking at". One of the big name companies dispatched a crew & quoted me an astronimical figure. I thanked them & waited for the independents to respond. One was strictly time & materials. One took my address & said "Give me a couple of hours" He never showed up nor called back. Another called back & left his number, aparrently not getting the content of my message. The rest didn't even bother to respond... except Jose @ Airborne. He gave me an estimate over the phone making sure I understood that this was for a straight forward "no surprises" job. I agreed & ultimately scheduled Jose to do the job. The job was straight forward as I suspected it would be & Jose was in and out in less than an hour. Oh yeah... the price ? I was very pleased with Jose and his wife Maria. Jose came to my home on a late Sunday afternoon (9/11) when my hot water heater croaked. Jose was very calm and reassuring that he would replace the hot water heater~he even offered to come out Monday afternoon to install the new hot water heater. Unfortunately I had an appointment that I had to keep. I scheduled Jose for Tuesday morning (9/13) at 8:00am. Jose arrived promptly at 8am as promised. Jose recommended installing a 30 gallon tank instead of a 40 gallon. By 10:30am Jose had installed the new hot water heater and cleaned up all the debris, etc. His fee was very reasonable. Jose is a good plumber he seems to have enough experience to identify the problem. Water overflow. Normally, it's a sign of clogged in the sewer he took care of the issue by snaking it and clean everything after, check for leak in the kitchen and the bathroom . read more

Use at your own risk. I contacted Airborne on a Sunday (12/29/13) evening and they actually agreed to show up and help snake a main sewer line. All was going ok until they started giving the song and dance routine about needing to scope my line to make sure it was not collapsed. They suggested really hard that I should get a quote from them to replace the line. I said no thanks just unclog the line. I expained to them that this is a really routine job that needs to be done every 12 month or so (theres a big spruce tree near the front of the house and usually every spring we need to run a snake to clear any roots). Well they ran the snake, but I noticed that they did not use an auger. I expressed concern that this would not do the job. Eventually, it appeared that they cleared the line. However, today (Thursday afternoon 1/3/2013) the sewer line in now backed up again. I called them just now 2:45 PM and told them about it and told them that by not using the auger, they did not clear up the problem. Well they don't guarantee their work and will not go back unless I pay for another snake job. Do not use these guys!!!!! read more
