Being a senior living alone has its challenges but no AC is not an option. Monday morning, the company I used in the past couldn't get me in for days. I googled ac repair & Native Heat & Air caught my eye. I prefer to use a local business so I called without much hope of getting a same day appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady said someone could come out today & call me 30 minutes ahead. Within 15 minutes she called to inform me Josh was heading my way! Praise God, that was a relief! Josh arrived, very cordial & professional young man, assessed the problem & gave a cost estimate. I was blown away by the reasonable price quote. He didn't try to sell me extra parts like other businesses. He was very much on point with this is the problem & I can replace it. I had complete confidence he was looking after my interest. Donald diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He fixed the issue on the spot, confirmed the heat worked, and charged us a very honest rate. I called them at 9:45am on Tuesday morning to verify they were coming. The office lady told me they don't service our area after the answering service had scheduled us. They didn't bother to call me and tell me they didn't service our area, they just didn't show up. Our AC wasn't cooling and we had assumed in good faith that the answering service had scheduled us. Not blaming the answering service but I do blame the office lady for not bothering to call us. Horrible customer service!

He replaced parts, fixed a couple of issues and recharged the system, Sold me on a couple of upgrades which he installed. After 12 days I returned from a hospital stay and that evening the A/C went out again. I called and the same technician came out again. He informed me that he hadn't accounted for the fact that it was a 3 zone system and forgot to do something. So once again we had A/C. Then a few weeks later no A/C so I called again. The same technician came out again and found another defective part he said he didn't know about. He replaced it and A/C was working again. Now a few weeks later the same problem as the other 3 times. So I called to get a technician out and asked for a manager to call me. Which he did the next morning. He left a message about a Damper that needed replacing and if I would like to have it done. I never discussed with the technician about replacing it only that the zone wasn't working and he pointed out that the Damper hadn't opened for flow. I told him it had been opening each time he came out before. So if that was the issue causing the A/C To freeze each time how come he came up with other reasons. Really simple its called profit for the company. Finding other items that may go bad and replacing them and selling customers on upgrades. Do not trust this company to do right by you. They will sell you replacing things that may not be bad and upgrades. And baffle you with BS. So today i had another company come out after numerous text messages with Kevin and do a diagnostic on the system and low and behold the damper is working fine. Its an issue with the way the return cold air hits the coil causing the freezing instead of dumping into another area. Poor design flaw not the damper. Thank you to Daniel from the Coolist Air for knowing what's going on with the system. Worth paying the diagnostic fee and avoiding a company that sucks money for poor service.

After 30 minutes it was decided that the compressor was not running and a hard start kit was installed. AC up and running. It was also decided that there was too much R22 (over charged) and Cody took care of that and had the system back on line blowing cold air again. Once again he explained it all as he went along and answered all my questions. I signed a yearly maintenance contract to have Airheads maintain for me. Just awesome quick service with a great tech. Needless to say, the technician called ahead of arrival and since I could not take the call, they skipped our service call, which forced us to spend the night in 85 degree interior temp. By then, I had found a much more reputable service company and my issue was fixed. Encourage you to think twice before using this company. There are so many good ones out there and this one cannot compete.
