We have a home in Horseshoe Bay that we also rent out, and recently our A/C stopped cooling. What followed was a frustrating experience with multiple companies--our regular provider misdiagnosed the issue, and an AHS-dispatched technician couldn't locate the problem. A third company guessed it was the coil, and AHS ultimately denied the claim as "undetermined." After escalating with AHS, they sent Lee from KSR Air--and that's when everything changed. From the moment he arrived, Lee was professional, thorough, and clearly experienced. Within an hour, he accurately diagnosed multiple issues: a leak behind the wall caused by a nail and a bad compressor. (And for the record, the coil was perfectly fine--contrary to what the previous three companies said.) We even learned that in Texas, since 2021, manufacturers must honor warranties for subsequent homeowners--something no one else mentioned. They drove over an hour each way without complaint, replaced the compressor, fixed the leak, and handled two claims--all within 3 days, during peak A/C season. We have home warranty through American Home Shield. Our AC wasn't cooling so we filed for service. Living out in the country you never know who AHS will send or how long it will take for them to get to us. AHS selected KSR. KSR contacted me the next day and they showed up they day after that. They found out it was low freon (as we figured). This isn't our first rodeo with low freon. Most HVAC companies put in freon to spec, check that we are getting cold air and call it good. KSR went into our attic to check air temp in the duct and found that the company that installed the unit had put the temperature sensor in the wrong place on the unit. They corrected that (took about a minute) and said it would keep the unit from kicking off early. We are very happy. read more

Extremely professional from the first call through the installation. They are very friendly, professional and overall amazing to work with. My AC unit was leaking and the coil need to be replaced, I use American Home shield and it can take a long time to get replacement parts from them, KSR got me a new coil and replaced it in a few days... I am not as happy as I could be with the communication,but when the parts were found they did the repair quickly and efficiently.After 2 months without AC it was a relief.The home warranty I used (AHS) is less than spectacular and added to my grief with this repair. read more

This review is months old. My husband originally asked me not to post anything to avoid conflict in the future as we bought the extended warranty and may just have to use them again the future. We bought a home early 2021. When the weather started getting hot, the outside unit went out. We called our homeowner's insurance company and this is the company that was selected. It took about 5 days to get everything settled with the insurance company. We then waited over 30 days for the unit to be available which wasn't their fault as there were shortages. The woman answering the phones at times could be short, and she was very unknowledgeable. The techs that came out to the service call were amazing. Except for their complete failure at a correct install. When we finally had it fixed they told us it would take the rest of the day to cool down the house. That night I woke up in a panic as it was beyond hot. We couldn't get any help that weekend and we used an entire months worth of electricity causing our bill to double with no compensation. The owner came out and fixed it. He said the tech would need to go back for training as it was a simple error on his part. Stated he would send him back to fix the drainage pan and never did. We paid 4k for the outside unit and warranty. The insurance paid for the inside unit. Absolutely a terrible experience. The reason that I'm here tonight to finally air my grievance is that I wanted a thermostat that I bought to be installed. The tech told me that it would be impossible without rewiring it. He said maybe he could come back and do it for a small fee. When his partner walked back in he said he would have to ask his boss. I was upset but know nothing about any of this. We are getting close to the 180 day return of the thermostat and sensors so I reached out to a friend who does professional HVAC. He looked it up, told me how to do it and verified that Google said it was compatible. My husband was able to successfully install the thermostat in 20 minutes. This entire company is a huge disappointment. I'm absolutely livid that someone with such low scruples is allowed to continue doing this and taking advantage of people who are not well versed in this industry. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TROPHY!!! She lies makes excuses and lies again. Said my appointment was between 12 and 5. Said they would call after the Kingsland job. Didn't happen. I took off work to be there. I was there at 11:50, checked my phone to find a message saying they were there waiting at 11:42 and gone when I arrived. She said she and her husband called me several times. She lied, phone records don't. She said, "Well, I don't control their schedule!" Oh really? Isn't that your job? Thank goodness for Kyle and KSR Air. He really knows what he is doing. We live out in Llano, Texas, and the guy that came out before him with a different company almost set our house on fire. Then came KSR today on July 11th, 2017..... He's wonderful. He is the expert you need working on your A/C and Heating Unit, so I would recommend nobody but KSR. I would not recommend this copy. You call them- " I am not in the shop" . Should not take 3 weeks to clean coils on an A/C unit. They will tell you we will be there between 12-5, but not show. " We called"- No record of call. read more

Thank you KSR Air! We started with another company out of Killeen that we were assigned to from our home insurance provider and after over 2 weeks they still had not repaired our Air Conditioner. We got rid of that company and called KSR and within 2 days they had the new parts, installed them, and our Air Conditioner was back up and running. We will use them first from now on! We've had great service from these guys. We were connected with them through American home shield when our 20 year old AC started having issues. They were able to find a pan to fit and have been very thorough. We will be going through them when our AC inevitably dies for good. read more

I received the KSR ph# through American Home Shield. On a Sunday my air conditioning went on the fritz and Icalled KSR twice and left messages both times. They did not return my call.
