My house gets way too hot and I was tired of roasting in my own juices during the summer so decided to get AC. These guys were great, whole process was easy and fast. Made an appointment to get a quote, took about an hour to show them around and talk about what I wanted, but the quote was much more reasonable than other providers in town so decided to go with them. Last year, you will see based on the first review, this company made a recommendation and may of saved us hundreds! There was no repair, rather a suggestion to watch for leaks and filled our coolant so that we can determine what the culprit may be with our air conditioning unit, if any, following a full year. They returned recently after a full-year and based on the coolant level, determined we are fine or may have a hair-line leak that is of no concern and so again, no repair, just a recommendation to keep an eye and possibly fix anything next year if they notice the fine leak of coolant is evaporating more than usual. We needed to replace our fifty-year-old furnace and my wife wanted to move its location from the hallway to the attic. In September we called 4 companies and the prices ranged from $8,400 to $14,500 (it pays to call because some companies are abusive and try to take advantage). I just purchased a new home and had an issue with my thermostats not working. I thought it might be a battery, which I replaced, or a switch being tripped, which I switched back and forth. Still nothing showing in the display, which lead me to give Airmaxx a call. Airmaxx sent out their tech the same day for a free estimate. The tech, Gilbert, went through a check list to see what's wrong with the theromasts, and he found they weren't getting any power. We come to find that the old owner unplug the AC unit, which shared the same power as the thermostat. As soon as he plugged it in we checked the theromtats and the displays were on. Instead of selling me a bag of goods I was beyond relieved about this solution and his throughness finding out the problem. Beyond that Gilbert have me a great overiew of my system and how to maintain it over time. My AC unit started leaking water. I called and got a same day service appt. Edgar came out and I truly appreciate the honesty and integrity. Not only do they not charge a basic fee, he said my AC was operating perfectly normal, checked everything out and said it was ok. I asked should I do a service anyway and a maintenance cleaning and he said he was not necessary. I know most companies would and do charge a basic service fee, and/or would have done a maintenance service I did not need. I saw they had great reviews which is why I called them and they great reviews are very deserved. My neighbor referred them and I had a fantastic experience with Edgar. The staff to schedule was very nice and friendly, worked with me and around my schedule to get a same day appt, and then the tech was just as awesome. The entire experience was awesome!!! Our air conditioning unit started blowing warm or outside temperature air, so I sent out a couple of feelers late Saturday afternoon. Airmaxx got back to me immediately and set me up for the next morning. Alex was great. Showed up when he said he would, never tried to up sell. We had to replace our capacitor... gave me a quote up front, replaced the part, and was done quickly. I told him I was going to change out my thermostat to a nest (we have dual zones and already have one thermostat that's a nest and one that's more traditional). He said he would like to take a look because people tend to screen it up and short things out...'so he'd like to give me pointers. At first, I thought, "here's where the up sell comes"... but that wasn't the case at all. He saw that my old thermostat wasn't even wired correctly (now i know why my a/c only worked on the "auto" setting and not the "on" setting). He crawled up into the attic, came down, fixed my wiring, and gave me the pointers on how to install my own thermostat... and didn't even charge me! Alex went above and beyond. Great guy, made a small mess climbing out of the attic (stupid blown insulation), and was going to go get his broom and pan and sweep everything up. The blower on my furnace wouldn't stop running. When this happened during the summer, I replaced the thermostat and it fixed it. This time, when I pulled the thermostat off the wall, if the blower continues to run, it means the blower issue is somewhere else (according to my YouTube search, LOL). So, I requested several quotes online on Yelp and Airmaxx was the first one to respond and was available to come out and give a free diagnosis within a couple of days. Also, several neighbors on the Nextdoor app recommended Airmaxx, as well. On the day of the appointment, Val Galitovskiy called to give me his ETA. I appreciate it when techs call in advance to say when they are on their way. He was able to get the blower to stop running almost immediately, AT NO CHARGE! Because my furnace is 30+ years old, there's a good chance the problem could recur again soon. He gave me an estimate on how much it would cost to replace the main control board. The first one told me i need to replace the entire unit since the compressor was broken which would cost more than $7000. Others quoted me about the same price. Wow, just wow! Our Airmaxx technician Rudy was on time, friendly, and ultra professional!! He exhausted all diagnostic options over an hour until he climbed on the roof and found that our heater exhaust pipe cap in the roof had a damaged cap that was not permitting the exhaust heat from exiting properly. Rudy explained all the diagnostics he performed and how he repositioned the cap and then waited around to confirm our furnace no longer shut off during operation.
