I Had Hani GORGIS company install a mini split. When I started using it, it continued to burn out the outlets because he spliced an ext. cord to connect instead of connecting to my breaker box. I'm not a licensed electrician nor have any knowledge of how this job is suppose to be completed. So after having another electrician look at the job he was shocked to see the fire hazard of how it was connected for power. And mentioned how it was supposed to be connected to the breaker box. And to call them back in to complete the installation job correctly. I was to provide the materials and the technician, Najah Gorgis, was to install the mini split. but instead of explaining what he might need to connect the mini split to the breaker box (which the other electrician who advised me said was suppose to happen) Najah Gorgis asked for an extension cord and wired the unit together hap hazard resulting in outlets burning up when plugged in and causing a potential fire rather than letting me know if additional materials were needed to connect to the breaker box like it's suppose to be. Because of my lack of knowledge in this field, I'm still not sure what all was needed to do the job correctly & safely, but for the record the mini split is only 8 feet from the breaker box and would have gladly ordered or picked up whatever was needed. So in short, if you're looking for a job to be done correctly and safe, these aren't the guys. They don't have your back and will put you at risk for a fire nor will they tell you what is needed to do the job correctly. When I called them back they asked for double the amount of money initially paid for the installation to correct the problem. I'm a single woman and a disabled veteran and it's hard enough surviving in San Diego but I suppose It's a hustle and I fell in it. So not AC for the summer. Choose a better company than these guys if you want a job done safe and correct. read more

I was glad they took the job -- a lot of the bigger HVAC servicers won't take on maintenance or install jobs on equipment they didn't originally provide or install. We manage a bunch of properties and one of our units had a refrigerant leak in the middle of summer and the unit was not cooling. Called around and eventually found and spoke to this place. We just had Gorgis complete a big job at our house in Mount Helix. They came and gave us a quote for moving our furnace to the attic (purchasing a new furnace) and replacing our air conditioning. When they came, they were professional and so kind. Their quote was very fair and lower than other companies. But ultimately, I chose to go with them because of my interaction with them. They were upfront and honest. They showed up to do the work when they said they would and worked very hard for three days. Any problems that arose, they were quick to take care of them. They did everything they said they would do and more. They were accessible for questions and responded quickly. But to me, what gives them the five star recommendation, is after the city inspector came and pulled me aside and told me that many contractors of this sort often cut corners and do not do as great of a job as these guys did. Most home developers take frequent cost-saving shortcuts...and in San Diego, that means installing underpowered HVAC systems since most customers will not realize this with amazing weather nearly year-round. When I called to ask about having my dryer vent cleaned the person who answered didn't identify that they were this company (just said "hello"). Then asked me in a skeptical tone why I was calling before confirming that I had, in fact, reached Gorgis. Then they provided me a quote and scheduled a time to come out and said goodby but neglected to get my address or phone number (I was calling them from work which is a blocked caller ID).... So they have no way of reaching me to conduct the work for the appointment. When I tried to call back to offer this info it went to voicemail, which had a full mailbox.
