    Still looks new, top of line Rheem too!

    Standing by workmanship! 7 year old system 50% low on refrigerant. They had to fill again a year or two after install and never followed up. Now they saying it on me. They wanted over 3k to diagnose the leak?? TAKE IT FROM THIS VET. Don't go with Mauzy. Sheesh it's no wonder they are barely over 3.5 SMH!

    Won't use them, for sure! -I called Mauzy after hearing their name for so long. I had a rep come to see my projected furnace/AC replacement. The guy was nice enough. Late, but finally called to let me know. When done with inspection / site visit- he said he'd get the quote to me the next day. I said great but even a few days would be fine. A week later, nothing. I sent a note to their email reminding. They replied they'd get it done. Another week... nothing. Again, an email to their customer team. Nice reply, but no quote. Another week and another email to finally get a project quote. Obviously, my $20k isn't important to them. Now- wouldnt use them if they were the only company out there. Funny, I keep getting texts and emails asking if they can book and move forward with project! Ha!!! Where is old school customer service? Gone.

    This Five Star review is only for Mauzy technician, Nathan Benge, who did the diagnostic on my Lenox combo system of heat pump and gas furnace on December 30, 2025. I had a combo system of a heat pump and a furnace, Signature Collection, which were installed last year by Mauzy. For those of you don't know much about Lennox models, Signature Collection is the top-of-the-line of the Lennox brand and yes, they are expensive and did have few issues right after the installation! Last cold Sunday morning, 12/28/2025, my Lennox thermostat S40 stopped working. There was no power to the unit! I contacted Mauzy on Monday and got an appointment with a technician named Nathan Benge on Tuesday morning to visit my home and to diagnose the problem. I'd like to mention the following positive notes from the time the Nathan on the way to my home to the time the he finished the job: 1/ It's very helpful to me receiving the status update when the Nathan was on the way and tracking information (including the estimate time of the arrival) of Nathan's vehicle. 2/ After listening to me about the past and current problems of the installed Lenox unit, Nathan verified no power to the Lenox thermostat S40. He, then, went up into the attic of my home, unplugged the unit main power cord from the outlet, and started checking on the connection of the electrical wires inside the unit. He found one of the wires being loosen from the undersized winged wire connectors (past workmanship?). Nathan reconnected the wires with a larger size winged wire connector and plugged the unit main power cord back to the outlet. The unit was powered on and the thermostat S-40 was also back on! 3/ At my request, Nathan also did the following works: (a) Re-checked the internal wiring to the circuit board in the blower unit (there were 4 exposed stripped copper wires at the connection to the board). He confirmed they're O.K. (b) Did a visual check on the flame in the furnace. (c) Found a temporary solution to reduce the vibration noise from the heat pump by using the electrical wire jacket to separate the plastic component from the metal frame of the heat pump. (d) Researched and explained the message "Ambient Lockout", which showed under the "Status" tab of the Lennox app. He explained how the heat pump and the furnace operate when the "Ambient Lockout" message showing up in the app. Noted that I had asked the same questions to previous 5 Mauzy technicians, managers, local Lennox sale representative, and calling Lennox Customer Support. No one was able to answer or explain to me the meaning of the message "Ambient Lockout"! Even worse, all I got back from Lennox Customer Support were two case numbers and no follow-up from Lennox Technical Support. I was also told last March (2025) that Lennox Technician covering southern California region (from Bakersfield to the border) would visit my home, checked out the installed unit, and addressed some of the issues that I had with this top-of-the-line Signature Collection unit, but they've never came! In conclusion, Nathan Benge did a great job!

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Thank you, Uriel, for a job well done.

One suggested replacing the furnace, which was not an expense we wanted to have to undertake, one said he'd inquire about a replacement motor but never got back to us, and Adam at Global Heating and Air saved the day!! For a fair price he ordered a universal motor and installed it, and the entire HVAC now works better than before. Adam was highly communicative throughout the process and what I appreciated most was his effort to find us an effective but least-cost solution. He listened to my concerns without making me feel pressured and even wore shoe covers to keep my floors clean, which I really appreciated. My AC system is about 20 years old and had started blowing warm air. I honestly thought I was going to need a whole new system, but I explained that replacing it just wasn't in my budget right now. But it's really rare (in my experience) when a service company not only exceeds every expectation but continues to year after year. Krystal is incredible and her attention to follow up and personal communication is the best I've experienced. My system is not new but we did have a new Ecobee thermostat installed a few years back. Huge fan of this company and I'd recommend to anyone! They installed it easily and works (worked haha) perfectly until we had an accident in the attic (by no fault of theirs) that damaged the wire leading to the thermostat. Billy shot right over and diagnosed the issue due to his electrical smarts (and that he can fit up in my attic the size of a mouse trap). Sorry Billy. With old houses and older units, like ours, sometimes rewiring can be really difficult and many times not the best solution. Which was the case in our situation. Instead, the best fix for the wiring issue, was no wiring at all. Thank you technology! Billy suggested installing a wireless remote transmitter on the furnace that could talk to my favorite Ecobee thermostat. Simple solution to an old house problem. The system is up working properly now and it was all done quickly and with no stress. How many times can you say that with a non functioning system in an old house! From the techs and their attention to detail and Krystal and her epic work and customer support, they have my business for life.     I Had Hani GORGIS company install a mini split. When I started using it, it continued to burn out…read morethe outlets because he spliced an ext. cord to connect instead of connecting to my breaker box. I'm not a licensed electrician nor have any knowledge of how this job is suppose to be completed. So after having another electrician look at the job he was shocked to see the fire hazard of how it was connected for power. And mentioned how it was supposed to be connected to the breaker box. And to call them back in to complete the installation job correctly. I was to provide the materials and the technician, Najah Gorgis, was to install the mini split. but instead of explaining what he might need to connect the mini split to the breaker box (which the other electrician who advised me said was suppose to happen) Najah Gorgis asked for an extension cord and wired the unit together hap hazard resulting in outlets burning up when plugged in and causing a potential fire rather than letting me know if additional materials were needed to connect to the breaker box like it's suppose to be. Because of my lack of knowledge in this field, I'm still not sure what all was needed to do the job correctly & safely, but for the record the mini split is only 8 feet from the breaker box and would have gladly ordered or picked up whatever was needed. So in short, if you're looking for a job to be done correctly and safe, these aren't the guys. They don't have your back and will put you at risk for a fire nor will they tell you what is needed to do the job correctly. When I called them back they asked for double the amount of money initially paid for the installation to correct the problem. I'm a single woman and a disabled veteran and it's hard enough surviving in San Diego but I suppose It's a hustle and I fell in it. So not AC for the summer. Choose a better company than these guys if you want a job done safe and correct.
