One sandwich shop and one sports bar. This place is the basics. No frills, minimal drink selection, but a good sandwich menu. To keep it simple, I went with a tuna club. It should be noted that the turkey club next door was several dollars more, and when I went there for the club, I was told I was better off going here. One bright note was the bacon on my sandwich: it was cooked fresh! If you're not surprised, then you've never tried to order bacon on anything at a fast deli or sandwich shop. It rarely happens. You go, Airport Coffee Shop! They are made to order, so it's gonna take 5-8 minutes, but it hit the spot: simple, basic, but good. It was also apparent that all the staff in the airport eat here. I saw TSA, passengers, and even the waitress from the sports bar told me she eats here. You don't have much choice, but keep it simple, and this place will hold you over to your final destination. While the food is decent the staff is rude and impatient. I've been here twice and treated poorly both times and watched others take abuse from the cashiers. I ordered a burger, fries, and a drink and the burger arrived with the meat paddy and bun. I asked if the burger came with anything else and was told I should've asked when ordering. It seems they try to shame you or school you on how to to things. The first time I ordered clam chowder and got what seemed like the bottom of pot. After I got my order and sat down at a table I realized I didn't get any crackers so I went back and asked. The cashier told me people usually ask for crackers when placing the order. I replied that customer service employees usually ask If I want items and explain my choices. Do yourself a favor and eat before you go yo the Bangor Airport. read more

We had a great dinner at the Airport Coffee Shop/Bar before our flight to Florida recently. Since our flight was delayed for an hour, we decided to sit down in the bar/dining area & grab a meal while we waited. The facility was clean & pleasant, with a very friendly staff. Menu options were typical of an airport restaurant, with a great variety on the menu for those with more diverse tastes (Maine Lobster Roll, Chowder, Wraps, Sandwiches, etc). We were very pleased by how good/fresh/tasty the food was! We each had a drink, salad, entrée, and a dessert. A great little place for relaxing before a flight! Highly recommended! Unless you have a super long layover like I did, I recommend just waiting for the coffee and peanuts on your flight. As that was not an option for me, I bit the bullet. Everything here is super expensive. Of course, it is in an airport, so that is to be expected. That being said, the food is not very good. Also, the employees really don't seem like they want to be there at all. They weren't rude, but close...which sharply contrasts the rest of the folks at this airport. Had two bagels and coffee. $13.00. Bagels were not good, but the bread like crap which was not properly BOILED before baking. The only reason to eat there is because it is the only place in the airport. They charge what the traffic will bear. read more
