Nest Cafe was delightful! Lovely breakfast goodies- I had a yummy oversized French toast muffin and my companion had a delicious cinnamon twist pastry. We both indulged in perfectly brewed coffee just the way we liked it- mine iced and hers piping hot. The service was friendly, prompt and superior, the setting easy to lose track of time in, and the overall experience one I'm looking forward to repeating soon. read more

Stopped in while I was in Bangor and saw this place, which looked bright and welcoming. I was looking for a decent coffee and some kind of mid-day breakfast/brunch food item and was very happy with the caprese sandwich I ordered, which comes on a bagel with pesto--yum! The menu features other sandwiches and bowls, any of which can be breakfast or lunch, depending on how you feel; all very fresh and healthy ingredients. It was hopping when I was there, and I can see why; great place to stop in downtown. read more

Several coffee shops have closed in Bangor over the past few years so it is great to see Nest continuing to operate. Ironically, on the day I visited the espresso machine was down which is a pretty big issue for a coffee place. The cafe has a good vibe. I got the edamame bowl with peanut sauce, which was delicious. We ordered to go and ate at the airport. Wayyyy better than any other airport options. Street parking wasn't an issue for us midday midweek (and is free). Service was friendly. Food did take about 15 mins to come out, so just know this isn't fast food. Restroom is clean. Air conditioning was pumping a little too much for my taste, but we were getting takeout anyways. read more

Great food.. when they get it right, three times I've been in and three times I got a different sandwich. I typically get the Liv on a garlic bagel, and add bacon ($2 up charge). Each time I've ordered that's what I order. The first time they gave me a plain bagel, no biggie still a good sandwich The second time they gave me a completely different bagel (everything) And now the third time, today, they forgot the bacon, and gave me an everything bagel instead of a garlic. Great food, but if you get takeout, make sure you check your food. read more

Food: Loved the food. I always love an avocado toast - I particularly liked the option to add lox - nice touch. Toddler had a chocolate muffin. Husband had peanut butter and banana bowl with a shaken brown sugar espresso. Both very enjoyable. Very happy! Came in so my dad could try an açaí bowl. We ended up with two açaí bowls, a breakfast bowl, and breakfast sandwich. And to drink a blueberry smoothie, black iced tea, and a blueberry, lavender, mint lemonade. The later being AWESOME! Friendly service and recommendation for the lemonade. As a Door Dasher, I don't like picking up orders here. Parking is never close by, and there is no separate spot for delivery drivers to pick up orders. I don't mind waiting my turn but Door Dashers get paid by the order and I shouldn't have to wait 20-25 minutes each time. It appears that there are a lot of people behind the counter working hard, but nobody seems to be in charge, and there is no flow or organization to what they are doing. It could be much more efficient. read more

Although the Nest offers smoothies and breakfast items, it was the array of quinoa bowls that prompted my wife and I to stop in for take out. We both ordered the Aerie Bowl, and staff were happy to swap out the eggplant in mine for avocado, in addition to adding chicken to my wife's. The cafe features copious and varied seating in what seemed to be a clean environment. Our wait was reasonable and we headed home with our boxed meals. Even without the dressing (which I asked to be held) my meal was tasty and satisfying. There must have been at least a half an avocado sliced up in a bed of arugula with a generous portion of quinoa. These comestibles, in addition to the chickpeas, tomato chunks, and cucumber slices, were all fresh and created a colorful meal. The pickled onion was the only thing that seemed to originate from a jar or can, and I don't think it added anything to an already flavorful repast. I look forward to returning and trying a smoothie or smoothie bowl. read more

Headed here early on the 4th of July for a quick breakfast to start the holiday, was not busy and ordered quickly. I ordered the Nutella Coffee smoothie and it was excellent prefect balance of coffee and banana! I also got the Liv breakfast sandwich and it was truly one of the best I've ever had. The bagels are awesome so soft but crispy, the everything bagel was perfect for the sandwich. Did not dine in but was plenty seating with lovely aesthetics to the place! read more

Love this place. The food is celiac friendly (gluten free options), they are very accommodating to allergies as I am also allergic to bananas. I order through their website, in person, and over doordash often. I really enjoy the food and the only downside is their coffee isn't great. read more

You won't find better healthy, breakfast offerings in Bangor. The help is so nice and kind. The food is great. The little cafe style decor is wonderful. Everything is awesome......except for the noise. Best to order and take out. The smoothie blender is very loud and it echos off the concrete walls. They did not design the smoothie machine to prevent the noise going out to the cafe. Even the coffee bean grinder is loud. I really think it has to do with the concrete walls and nothing absorbing the noise. It maybe helpful if they moved the smoothie machine behind the wall. Too bad as it is the best little place in Bangor. read more
