Caprese sandwich (on a bagel): delicious!
    Anne S.

Stopped in while I was in Bangor and saw this place, which looked bright and welcoming. I was looking for a decent coffee and some kind of mid-day breakfast/brunch food item and was very happy with the caprese sandwich I ordered, which comes on a bagel with pesto--yum! The menu features other sandwiches and bowls, any of which can be breakfast or lunch, depending on how you feel; all very fresh and healthy ingredients. It was hopping when I was there, and I can see why; great place to stop in downtown.

Several coffee shops have closed in Bangor over the past few years so it is great to see Nest continuing to operate. Ironically, on the day I visited the espresso machine was down which is a pretty big issue for a coffee place. The cafe has a good vibe. Service was decent even without the espresso machine.

    Breakfast BLT

Great little Cafe... Ordered the breakfast BLT... No egg. Absolutely delicious. The bagel was incredible and blended so nicely with the avocado. tomato, bacon and mix.

Trendy little place downtown. A little pricey, but the quality of the drinks and quantity of the bowls did not disappoint. The menu offered a nice selection. It could be hard to find parking at times because it's downtown and there's no lot.

Food: Loved the food. I always love an avocado toast - I particularly liked the option to add lox - nice touch. Toddler had a chocolate muffin. Husband had peanut butter and banana bowl with a shaken brown sugar espresso. Both very enjoyable. Lots of great options. 5/5 Staff: very kind. 5/5 Ambiance: Love the mix of textures natural colors and pops of emerald. Not a lot of room for a stroller but manageable. Easily found parking close by on a Saturday at lunchtime. 5/5 Family friendly rating: 4/5

Very happy! Came in so my dad could try an açaí bowl. We ended up with two açaí bowls, a breakfast bowl, and breakfast sandwich. And to drink a blueberry smoothie, black iced tea, and a blueberry, lavender, mint lemonade. The later being AWESOME! Friendly service and recommendation for the lemonade. Quick to get food and drinks. Cute interior.

Excellent food! Got the power bowl with feta subbing for the Italian sausage and it was honestly excellent. No notes.

Cute little spot for a healthy bite. Espresso was very smooth. Lox bagel was good. Super nice staff.

At first the place looked great - except for the lump of plants in a disarray -I'd remove them --…read moreand food seemed fine - some stuff. Wait staff flying thru and bringing dishes minutes after forcing parties to wait to eat. Winter time - icy parking lot - HUGE big truck at doorway - No handicapped was available. Decided to try again - again food straggles out - the prices went up as well - the salad they give for a $25 plate of food is served in a child kitchen dishes set - am I wrong?--- (also went up a $30) Smart TV playing all the magnificent journey the owner went on. Here is a poor town with many people desperately trying to make ends meet. 1. Most can't afford this prices- $30 -requires a real full dish salad - 2. Most people want to be able to enjoy all eateries, fairs, parades, festivals, ice cream stands, food stands instead of running to local bodega for a piece of beef jersey and a beer. 3. The ready made food is ok sometimes but I'd love to have a porterhouse and king crab legs too - and choose to order -- not just what is made for the day. We tried the burrito- they add potatoes- no one ever adds potatoes- and they won't take the out. White potato is inflammatory- can't eat it. Was hoping breakfast items had more Gluten free variety & dairy alternatives: goat milk - lots of goat farms around - all sell goat milk in supermarkets- I checked I think this area suffers enough and everyone should experience a meal in any eatery in Dover Foxcroft- You all represent businesses in the area and the communities people pay your bill(s). I'd love to see more accommodating prices - open every day so ALL MAINERS can find a seat at your establishment. MAke affordable meals as well as your expensive ones ---People should choose. DId you say cake? can you cut a real normal piece? this is not NYC- only place ever served so ski skimpy like yours ---was at Tavern on The Green--NYC Other things distracting- owners sitting with "special or favorite" Again- small town - Owners-Chef should greet and hear compliments from all patrons. All patrons should be able to give constructive criticism on what they are served. I can critique as we had a very successful restaurant and a grocery store. Being part of community- store owners have an obligation to uphold certain business ethics as they enrich the community and the community looks at you and how you handle your staff and your store. We hope to see and hear changes so all people who expressed the issues at your store can walk in and have dinner without breaking the bank or robbing money from Little Lucia's piggy bank. GOD BLESS Be the Example

Usually don't say much but this place is not recommended…read more. Food is average and very expensive. Coffee wasn't the best and too much foam for me! Owners need to take a business class and do a S.W.O.T. analysis on themselves and their place of business and serve the community better! Try the Bears den for some good home cooked meals, or McDonald's lol.. was forced to give 1 star or no review...

The breakfast biscuit sandwich was THE BEST biscuit you will ever have the pleasure of enjoying. Granted, my opinion is that it was perfect for the sandwich, it wouldn't be dense enough for sausage gravy. It would have to be a topper rather than getting slathered if you know what I mean. I went lighter and got a blueberry scone which was equally as delicious just satisfying my sweet tooth vs his savory one that morning. Anyway, we loved it so much while we were eating I went back inside and grabbed two more scones - a blueberry and fig/almond for us to have the following morning for sunrise at Cadillac. Their lattes were also wonderful. I would shop here regularly if I was a local but for now the best I can do is rave about this place on the internet.
