The breakfast sandwiches have shrunk significantly from their former size. They were already small but now they are miniature. This caused me to order a bagel on the next visit as breakfast sandwic are no longer an option. The bagel was barely toasted and the not buttered for me. The butter was frozen and couldn't be spread and definitely not while driving which defeats the purpose of a drive through. i used to really like aroma joes over the other options but no longer worth a visit read more

We were shopping and decided to pop into the line at Aroma Joe's for a quick coffee. We were so wrong. Quick service is not their forte. We were the third car in line and waited roughly 20 minutes. You place you order,pay and get your food in the same window. There is an extensive food menu, so if someone is ordering a sandwich in front of you, you're going to be waiting a while. All this being said, the coffee was good and the hashbrowns were good sized . We never received the dipping sauces we requested. If you're not in a rush, and no one else is in line, then we would recommend. Otherwise keep going. read more

We were in town to visit Acadia National Park. This town us about 25 mins away from Bar Harbor. Hotel coffee just didn't do it for us and Starbuck's was not in town. This Aroma Joe's was closed to my hotel stay so thought to give it a try. We glad we did. Since maple syrup is a thing in Maine, we thought to order a Paris toast latte. It has hunt of maple and cinnamon taste. It was quiet nice. My hubby had the ice cold brew with maple syrup and did not disappoint. We enjoyed our coffee. We did drive-thru and was pretty fast service. The girl in the window was very patient and nice. Aroma Joe's can definitely comparable to Starbuck's. read more

Was doing laundry across the way as I was leaving Acadia and decided I needed something warm and cafinated to keep me going..alas sort of failed there, but still enjoyed the coffee. I would up ordering the Witches Brew which was 50/50 hot chocolate and coffee. Never knew that this is what it was called and did not disappoint in adding a bit of sugar and coffee to get my day started! The rain was just starting and although I'm not a coffee person, "happy wife happy life," we decided to make the stop. Aroma Joes is a small two-person show run out of a drive through. They have all kinds of coffee and its variations of latte, espresso, teas, frappes, and they even sell breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and other good things. Because it's a small operation with minimal staff, and your order is made on the spot, if there are many cars in line it could be a wait before it's your turn. Thankfully, only one car was In front of us and the wait wasn't too bad. The young masked staffer pleasantly took our order of a iced black tea and medium sized latte. As visitors to Ellsworth, Maine we were looking for coffee and came across this cute little shack serving coffee & other drinks and bakery items in the Hannaford / TJ Maxx parking lot! They must have a good following because the lines were relatively long but moved at a good pace. I did say lines, plural... they have 2 drive-thru lanes on either side of the building going in opposite directions! Smelled great and tasted great! read more

For the times that I've gone, this place has given me scrumptious Coffee 60% of the time. The other 40%, I was handed the ice coffee I typically order but it's luke warm. Looking at the young teenagers behind the window fiddle farting around for 40 minutes to make a simple coffee tells me they don't care, otherwise I'd rate this one 5 stars easy. That took two stars off for me personally. The last star was taken off because of the other people behind the window and how they denied me a military discount even though I've received one from many other sister locations including this one. There was a bright young lady who gave me one consistently and she seemed like one of the only sweet workers there. The others seemed like they didn't care much. Didnt even smile. May seem like a nitpick, but a smile can go a long way and idk who that worker was who I thought was genuinely sweet, probably got in trouble cause of the military discount thing, but she was awesome. I am a local in Ellsworth, and Aroma Joe's is between points that I drive most days. I usually get a drink there once or twice on a given day. Most of the staff are nice and do their utmost to make this a great experience. Although the wait times can sometimes get a bit long, it's never because they are slacking, trust me. On average, I'd say getting a Witch's Brew (My fav drink) takes about 8 minutes, and that is assuming there's at least one car ahead of me. For those of you like me, that typically feel caffeine is a great choice any time, they are usually very slow during the evenings, so it's a quick trip for a coffee, maybe a muffin or scone, and breakfast items if you don't mind a late breakfast! read more

The service is awful we ordered our food over an hour ago and we still haven't gotten it. The server was very rude and she told us to go sit in the car and wait. The energy drinks taste like battery acid, I honestly don't recommend this place at all. Everyone that went through the drive thru would get their orders in less than five minutes while we ordered online over an hour ago. This is totally disgusting. The workers sat there and did absolutely nothing. Only one worker out of five was actually doing something with their job. This is not ok and I will not be coming back. My expectations should have been lower. Ordered a macchiato as I really wanted as little milk as possible. What I was served can only be called a latte or possibly a cappuccino in some circles. Even fewer might refer to it as a piccolo, but my friend, it was most certainly NOT a macchiato. Whatever you call 24 ounces of lightly frothed milk on top of a single shot of espresso in Maine is what it was: a "Dairy Bomb"? "White Canadian"? "Cow Creammiato?" Again, my expectations should have been lower given where I was and when I was there, but considering how good coffee has gotten in America over the last 10 years in most metro areas I just didn't think it could still be this bad but I was wrong. I would recommend Starbucks or Dunkin over this place and I loathe Starbucks and Dunkin. read more

We drove along Highway 1 from Bar Harbor back to CT. To get a start on our trip, we stopped by Aroma Joes. We both got the Iced Cold Brew. I got the Paris Toast flavor, my husband got the Avalanche. We both loved our drinks! We also got the sausage, egg, and cheese buttermilk biscuit sandwich which was great! And the hash browns were seasoned and tasty also. I tried going to this Aroma Joes on Saturday morning around 10am...big mistake. The line was much longer than the drive-thru, so cars were blocking oncoming traffic. I waited on the line for about 10 minutes without any movement before I left. I then went on Sunday morning, and there were only two cars on the drive-thru which was much better. But still, the first car was there for about 10 minutes, and the second car was there for about 5 minutes and only got one drink. Then it was our turn. First, the girl taking our order did have a mask on, but it was pulled down to her chin. She never pulled her mask up, even when she was giving us our our coffee. After we ordered, she turned around and complained about one of her co-workers before actually starting our order. So I guess that explains the long wait. Took 10 minutes to get 2 coffees.
