Extremely Disappointing Experience - Rude Sales Management and No Follow-Up We visited this Honda dealership as we begin shopping for a new Honda Pilot. Our goal was simple -- to understand current pricing and trade-in value so we could compare across multiple dealerships before purchasing by the end of the year. Our salesperson was polite, but the sales manager, Joe Jemley, was shockingly rude and dismissive simply because we mentioned that we planned to compare pricing from multiple dealerships. He actually questioned whether they "wanted to give us pricing" on a car and refused to provide a trade-in value for our vehicle. His attitude throughout the interaction was abrupt, condescending, and completely unprofessional. After the visit, I reached out to our sales rep and asked for someone above Joe to contact me to discuss the situation. I was told the GSM, Trustin Hampton, would call me the next business day -- that call never happened. I then called the dealership myself and asked to speak with Joe Jemley's manager, Chris Denny, and was transferred to his voicemail. That call was never returned either. This experience reflects a complete failure of leadership at multiple levels. Joe Jemley's conduct showed a total lack of professionalism, and the fact that no one from senior leadership followed up only reinforces the poor culture and accountability at this dealership. We will not be returning, and we strongly recommend visiting AutoNation Honda or Rusty Wallace Honda instead -- their professionalism and customer service were exceptional and a night-and-day difference from what we experienced at Airport Honda. read more

We went here asking for a test drive. We got told that their cars were double than our budget and "why would I have you put mileage on a new vehicle that you can't buy" and other things that just made us feel so unwelcome and put off that we left. He was actively playing on his phone when he got asked to help us, then said that to us. Everyone else was super nice and I really wish we didn't get directed to him. Well we went and bought a new car somewhere else. The guy who said that was Greg. Super rude for no reason. Definitely will not be back. Buyer beware, the internet price is NOT the "real" price! I drove 2 hours to look at a Pilot priced at $43,847 online and they actually wanted over 51k! I was very clear in my communications with them that I actually needed the price to be under 43k. So they wasted my time, over 4 hours of it by the time I got home! I dont normally do review but this was too much not sure and help other folks out. Randy in sales was good to work with during the negotiations, HOWEVER that is where the positive review ends. we were told that when we picked up the truck, they would make sure it had a full tank of gas, it didn't. Ok accidents happen. We were told there were 2 keys when we signed the paperwork, after everything was signed, we were informed that there was not a second key and we would have to pay for the 2nd. This was NOT an accident but now a sign of deceit to get us to sign the paperwork. We pushed back and they finally said "ok", they would get a 2nd key. 1 month in - they called and told us they had it and to come back (2 hr drive) when we got there and sat for 90 mins, we were told, oops sorry, they had the wrong key and needed to order the correct again. 2nd month in -we were told to go back (2 hr drive) and pick up the key. Sat for over an hour and finally got our 2nd key. Great, FINALLY. 3rd month in, after thinking all was well, we were informed that they were having issues with obtaining our trade in title even after WE PAID extra for a PoA and told it wouldn't be an issue. we then had to drive back to drop the title off (2hr drive). Long story rolled up, this is a rag tag dealership wrapped in a lot of sales talk and shiny wrapping. Once you sign on the dotted line, the customer service, appreciation for the buyer's time and wonderful treatment will get thrown in the trash apparently with the 2nd key, gas and PoA paperwork. BE CAREFUL if you shop here. BE WARNED. We were so excited to have a dealership that we thought we could trust especially when we have upcoming needs to purchase 2 cars in the near future, but we WILL ABSOLUTLY NOT BE GOING BACK HERE!!! read more

I scheduled an appointment to meet with the Fleet Manager on the 2026 Passport. He passed me off to one of the seasoned salesmen. I went in specifically due to they claimed to be an authorized Costco dealer with special pricing. At first the salesman said that the special Costco pricing wasn't available on the Passport. Then after I challenged him he said "oh there is Costco Pricing" on it. They never showed me an Invoice, they also claimed the MSRP was $10K higher than any loaded Passport Trailsport Elite that I've seen. What a scam! I told the guy I would think about it over the weekend. Then they brought out the strong arm GM to try and pressure me. I left! I do not recommend this dealership at all. Zero Trust with them. If I could give them a negative star I would. Shop Elsewhere!!!! read more

We came in on 7/3/23 to "to kick the tires" on the new CR-V. As we have been driving a 2021 CR-V for the past couple of years. Well I have to say the new Hybrid CR-V is worlds away better than the previous two generations of the same car. Having owned a 3rd, 4th and 5th generation CR-V this new 6th generation is so much better. It is larger, quieter, and if you opt for the hybrid you get away from the tiny 1.5l turbo and step up to a 2l that is much more responsive. Our salesman Gene Charsha was very patient and worked to make sure that all of our questions were answered and that we were fully satisfied and setup in the new vehicle before we left the dealership. My only knock on this dealership is financing. They didn't honor one of the Honda programs for loyalty, which should have reduced the bill by $500. And the interest rate was way too high. We will be refinancing with our bank within a month or two. Yeah $11k in finance charges is just too much. And they wanted to sell us a protection package that would have added almost $5000 to the total cost of the deal. Why when you can go online and buy the Honda Care for $4k less? All in all it was a good experience and I do hope that Gene does well in his future sales. Go see him! read more

I'm really sad and frustrated that I have to leave a review like this for what is ultimately, possibly a good company. my wife and I we're trying to buy a car from Greg and the whole thing started out good but went south very quickly. We are in bankruptcy which does add a layer of difficulty to a car deal but we mistakenly thought that going to a large dealership group who sell hundreds of car would help with our situation. well I guess I was wrong, it was anything but easier. The part that gets me the most is that the director of finance of a large dealership doesn't know that the court DOES NOT send anything to the dealerships explaining the courts parameters, you make the deal, send a deal sheet in and the trustee approves the deal - its that simple. They have refused to move forward with a deal on ANY vehicle until I can provide something to them that doesn't exist. read more

I'd like to start this review by stating I have been a loyal customer of Airport Honda's since I moved to Tennessee over seven years ago. I've owned three Honda Odysseys, and Airport Honda has serviced and performed recall work on the last two. I purchased my last Odyssey (2018) at AutoNation Honda West Knoxville because Airport Honda didn't have any in inventory. I have always felt good about Airport Honda's service department. My wife and I stopped by Airport Honda and a few other dealerships on 9/15/23 looking for a replacement for her car that was totaled. Although she didn't test drive any vehicles, she decided on a Honda CR-V hybrid. That was our first contact with Greg, Airport's salesperson. In a text message received from Greg 9/21, he stated "I have one being built in Meteorite gray with black interior the week of 10/03-10/10" On 9/22, my wife and I went to Airport Honda and met with Greg. I asked for an out-the-door price on the vehicle he told us they were having built but he didn't provide the price at that time. Actually, he never provided an out-the-door price either verbally or in writing. We asked him if we could put $1,000 down on the car to hold it until we could see it. He said we had to put $3,000 down. We did authorize a $3,000 deposit, paid via our Visa Credit. Greg never told us the deposit was non-refundable. He asked us for our Social Security Numbers while he was preparing some paperwork. I asked him why he needed our SSNs and he responded that they were needed to buy a car in Tennessee. After signing the contract, I noticed that there was no VIN number or Stock Number on the contract. There was also no "To be delivered on or about date" on the paperwork. I asked Greg about the omissions and he responded that the vehicle hadn't been built yet. When we looked at the price, we thought it to be high and asked him about it. He responded that there was a 15% upcharge from the MSRP because there was a high demand for, and shortage of these cars. He went on to say the 15% upcharge was currently pretty much a common practice amongst all dealerships. When we arrived home later that afternoon, I began researching information Greg gave us and found there is a plentiful supply of the CR-Vs in stock on dealership lots, the 15% upcharge was not a common practice, and I learned SSNs are not required for a car purchase in Tennessee. At 9 am the next morning, when Airport Honda opened, I contacted Greg and told him I wanted to cancel the contract and get a refund of my deposit. He told me that Tennessee had a "No cooling off law" and that the contract was binding and my deposit was non-refundable. I told him I wasn't familiar with Tennessee law, but in Kentucky (where I originally was from) I believed there was a 3 day cancellation law. He then told me we weren't in Kentucky. I then texted him a copy of Tennessee Code 47-18-5520 (Entitled Cancellation of an Agreement) @ 9:51 am and also sent a text message to him at 9:53 am that said "Cancel our contract we signed yesterday. The deposit charge has been disputed." I took the matter up with Chris D., the General Manager and later Mr. Bill R., a purported owner. I requested three things. 1. Airport Honda acknowledge that my wife and I no longer had an agreement/contract with them. 2. The $3,000 deposit be returned. 3. Any hard copies of paperwork and electronic files containing our SSNs be destroyed. I have not been advised by Bill R. or Chris D. that the contract had been voided. Bill R. stated they were willing to give me a store credit for the $3,000, but would not refund my deposit. Bill further advised me they comply with government standards for safeguarding sensitive customer information. On 9/23 my wife and I purchased a Honda CR-V Sport Touring AWD Hybrid from AutoNation Honda of Memphis for less than MSRP. We saved more than $6,000 by shopping elsewhere. We don't know the exact savings because the Airport Honda salesperson never divulged the out the door price (not even in what they called a contract). We also did not have to give the other dealership our SSNs or a deposit. We are extremely happy with our new CR-V Sport Touring AWD hybrid that's getting close to 40 mpg. It would seem any reputable dealership would have cancelled the contract and returned the deposit to ANY potential customer since the dealership was out no money..... let alone refuse to cancel the contract between the dealership and a loyal 7 year customer. PS - although Airport Honda has received several vehicles meeting the description in the contract they said they wouldn't void, they've never contacted us to tell us the vehicles were in. It seems to me that contracts should have gone both ways. How do you spell breach of contract? read more

We took my husbands car here due to a recall on his fuel pump. While there they said they would run a diagnostic test on it to see if he had any problems. When they called they had a list of 9000$ worth of repairs that they said needed to be fixed. We had a warranty and said to the to only work on what was covered under my warranty. After having his car for 2 weeks and only communication I received was when I called them myself and actually had to drive up there twice because no one was returning my calls. The advisor is the only person you get to speak to not the actual person working on your car. They try to rip you off by saying well you can finance the repairs which is insane on such a new car. They worked on stuff not covered by my warranty and tried to make me pay for these repairs which they were not authorized to do. Just do not take your car here to be repaired. they take too long and are crooked. Horrible customer service. read more

Airport Honda is made up of a lot of well meaning, and very apologetic people. For some reason they struggle with basic communication and follow up. I've both purchased vehicles and had my vehicles serviced at Airport Honda. To date each experience has fallen flat of expectations, typically dealing with vehicles be ready on time, scope of services complete. The latest and probably last dealt with their recent move across the Highway resulting in their service department closing early and not informing customers showing up to pick up cars only to be told there closed and their computers are down. They apologize well but it just gets stale. read more

I absolutely LOVE Airport Honda! I won't go anywhere else because of 2 individuals that work there. One being the best car salesman I've even met, his name is Kevin Coffman. Most of the times when I think of a car salesman I think of a dishonest person trying to get me to buy crap for a lot more money than expected. When I think of Kevin Coffman, the words trustworthy, honest are the top 2 things that come to mind. That's pretty damn hard to find when it comes to a car salesman. I highly recommend this guy. He always seems to have your best interest at heart, which is an outstanding quality. The manager out there is named Chris Denny. He is the other reason I won't go anywhere but Airport Honda. Those 2 work together to get you the best deal they can. If you are shopping for a new car, or are in search of an honest salesperson, then look no further because you've got 2 people here that would gladly take care of you! They also have a very friendly service department so if you aren't shopping for a new car, you can always get an oil change, brake pads etc here. I have a history here. Over the years Ive purchased 2 new vehicles and one used vehicle here. As a matter of fact, they've been my first stop for each vehicle Ive purchased since 2011. Today, I went with all intentions to buy another, and negotiated a final price that I was happy with only to have them try to slip a $600 dealer fee back in afterwards. When I complained they threw me out of the dealership! Wow. I guess my loyalty was misplaced, and not appreciated. I suggest looking elsewhere, which is what I did. Hmmm, just read the dealers response. He missed the point entirely. The point was (as I stated above) the price was negotiated, and agreed upon before any dealer fee was mentioned and I was paying cash. BTW bought 2 additional vehicles elsewhere since then, no one else Ive encountered (besides TWIN CITY) charges such a high doc fee. If your so proud of why not share it up front? read more

I regret paying this fee, as this was a bogus markup in addition to other features that I didn't want but we're not removable (window tinting, pinstripe). They charged me $1000.00 more than they quoted. The Advisor said he didn't quote me $2500 (which my wife heard the conversation plus I had written everything down) and reason he knows this is that his initials were on the front of the RO - that doesn't mean anything, now if he had asked me a question - such as my dog's name and wrote that down that would be more credible. I have emailed the dealership numerous times with no response. I also have left messages for the Service Manager and he has never returned any of my calls. This tells me that they are guilty as hell. You can asked why I did I pay the full amount instead of the price quoted. It's because I wanted our car. The Advisor stated I couldn't take the vehicle until I paid the $3500.00. You still don't acknowledge the deception. Your salesman lied about the transmission, even saying how your master mechanic of 15 years looked at it. It appears Airport Honda is desperate to manipulate potential buyers and steal money. People, read your contract carefully, don't let them or any dealer write anything saying non refundable. Also, it appears the master mechanic was thrown under the bus, or perhaps he had the wrong vehicle with the bad transmission! Not really sure but in light of this matter I have learned a valuable lesson. Not all are as honorable as one thinks. I know what the contract states, it's in the manner which it was handled when we decided to go with a cash deal instead of a trade, and the lie about the transmission. Survey says, no dealer asks a potential buyer to place a 'down payment' to search for a vehicle and make it non refundable. Again, buyer beware when a salesperson tells you your trade has a major mechanical problem. Ladies and gentlemen, don't let these salespeople walk over you, remind yourself, they need you and they don't want you to walk without signing something. I utilized the service department today. I called this morning to see if they had any available appointments today, Saturday. I was pleased to find out that they had a 12 noon appointment available. The two other Honda dealership service department's were both booked solid. The service department got me in right away. The service representative was extremely helpful. The waiting area has something to be desired, such as fresh coffee, maybe some free snacks, and other niceties. However, my car was diagnosed within 15 minutes. My car was repaired within an hour. I was expecting to have to sit there for the entire day. Although I generally go to a different Honda dealership for my car repairs, I will think twice before making an appointment at my usual service department. I am very pleased with airport Honda service department. I don't feel like they jacked me around. I don't feel like they tried to up sell me.I also don't feel like they tried to sell me a new car instead of fixing my own, like a local dealership tried to do with a previous repair. read more

My daughter saved almost 10k to buy her first car. She did the whole process herself, I was very proud of her. She went to Airport Honda and bought her first car (used). 4 days later it started to rain and she found out the car she just purchased was leaking water inside the cabin like someone had installed an interior faucet in the vehicle. We stopped in to Airport Honda after our Honda Fit's A/C went out on vacation. We also needed a couple of tires changed. (We have bad vacation luck.) We showed up first thing in the AM, and the service writer told us 1.5 hours for the AC diagnosis, "maybe 2.5 hours" to get the tires in and change them. OK, fine. We got the AC diagnosis in about 3 hours, and they started putting on the tires after we had been waiting for about 3.5 hours. Delays happen, of course, but we never got any updates that entire time - I had to pester the service guys, and felt like a bit of a nuisance. They charged $50/wheel to mount and balance the tires (we didn't get the AC serviced). Then they didn't bother to replace the spare tire in the trunk - they just threw it in the back with the toolkit next to our luggage. Nothing catastrophic, but it was an unpleasant and expensive morning. Everybody was very polite, and the service seemed competent, but I was underwhelmed. I could have gone to an indie shop and gotten in and out faster, for much cheaper. If I'm going to pay dealership prices I'd rather get a noticeably better service. read more

This service department ripped off my elderly parents for a $200 part. They continuously lied to us, made us come back numerous times saying they were going to fix the issue with a seat part they broke numerous times and then when they were called out on the lies told my parents they did not want their business! How dare you take advantage of the elderly. They would book service appointment send text message confirmation and then when we got there the guy with the reddish hair would be a complete ass and act like he had no idea what was going on. This is my second bad experience with this dealership! I wouldn't recommend the service department or dealership. They don't keep their word and they take advantage of elderly! Now they're claiming we installed the part which is 100% FALSE we paid your dealership to install the part and it broke after less than one day. Your staff was rude to me and my parents. Regardless of if we were originally customers or not should not matter you fix Honda vehicles don't you? This boils down to the incompetency of your dealership to fix the issue and when called out on it deciding to be dishonest instead of standing by your product and correcting the issue. Kevin was pleasant and easy to work with. We got no pressure at all, although we had pretty much decided exactly what we wanted beforehand, Kevin asked questions to make sure we were getting the appropriate model and trim level for our needs. He also was very thorough in explaining the many new features and all the equipment on the vehicle.
