I seem to have an ancient memory of seeing Santa Claus even earlier there, but it is hazy. I continued to go there after I moved away from home as my mother and siblings were still in the area. Now we have moved back to central Florida and occasionally have reason to shop there. I have gone to the Salvation Army store already and had lunch at Governors, and I assume at some point I will be trying out the TJ Max/ Home Goods and the new KFC, which used to be located across Broadway. I don't know if I will be going to the Wendys or other stores there, but I am glad that with the loss of so many other businesses I remember from Bangor, this shopping center is still in my old extended neighborhood.

Very poorly managed and disorganized. Spent hours picking out items, put them on hold so I could…read morebring my husband with his Marshalls card the next day. They said they'd put on hold till sunday, but to be sure we came back the next day. We shopped for more items and left our cart for 5 minutes, which they took and started putting the items away. When we asked for my items on hold they had already put it all away too. Wasted hours of our time, came out in a snowstorm, called management today: "They don't care." Someone must be a restocking Nazi there. They put our stuff away twice before we could buy, and we are not people who spend anymore time shopping than necessary.

After several more visits to Ocean State, I was quickly…read morereminded of their rolling stock in the food section, meaning that some items they carry all the time but they also have special purchases or items that show up and are gone again. Some of them are pleasant surprises, such as something I had years ago and haven't thought about, or something seasonal or stocked temporarily that I would never have thought to look for. It makes the trips more fun than your average store. Recently I also found a winter hat the same style but much better than one I had passed over at twice the police at Reny's (another great store). So I will obviously keep going to Ocean State when we are in my home town.

Someone outside was joking about possible reasons they were doing it, but I assume it is the recent surge in Covid. At least I think he was joking. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now.

Everyone knows what they are getting with Argos but I still can not really get my head around the concept. I just think it is strange that you place an order from a catalogue then pay for the item before someone picks it up in the stock room. Why can they not just have the items in front of you like any normal shop? I think this people go to Argos just for the novelty factor, you can get the items from their catalogue in any other shop for around about the same price. Although the choice is unbeatable there are not many places you can get everything all under one roof. The service is quite good too, the staff are pretty quick to scamper around the stock room and load up the conveyor belt.

I refused to talk to anyone or turn out my pockets without a lawyer, police and proof on video tape. That was the only way they let me go. Cost me a whole day at police station, but now im suing their ass off. Do not shop here if you are a young woman. They are suspicious as hell, no training in shoplifting and will call cops thinking you stoke a $5 item. Who are these people????

It's nice because it's a one stop shop for everything we need and at a good rate. Plenty of parking. And it's easy to get help from employees. However the first time I came here I was wearing a hat very special to me and it fell off. I went back and wandered the same aisles to recover it but it was gone. Lost and found didn't have it. Employees didn't seem to care enough to call and ask in the radio if someone picked it up. I left very sad. Second time I came here I had bought groceries. Unfortunately they only sell five pound chicken. I only wanted a pound for the night. But I got it anyways. I wasn't even out of the parking lot before a dog ate it all. Then I had to go back and waste another $10ish to buy another one.
