My last time through I finally made it to Terminal E and the gossip was right, this is like Field of Dreams for shoe shiners. All of the staff have been polishing for decades -- and at times, you wonder if you will be there that long. They polish (and polish) until the shine burns your retinas. Cost $4. In the words of Will Rodgers, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." - not a bad way to waste a half hour either.

Tuesday afternoon when I dropped them off, he gave me an appointment card to pick them up Thursday at 5PM. Fast forward to Thursday at 5PM, I show up and he's not there. When I call him, he then explains that they weren't dry therefore I couldn't pick them up (no heads up or anything). He then says he will text me Friday morning and let me know what time to pick them up Friday once they're ready. Friday morning, I hear nothing. Finally, I get ahold of him and he tells me 2PM. I show up at 2PM, he isn't here and neither are the boots. The lady at the store calls him and asks when he will be there, he then says 3 o'clock. I told him that wasn't going to work and he said okay, he would leave right then and head that way. He shows up at 2:45, with the boots still wet, wasting my time once again. I understand things come up and deadlines don't get met, but communication with a customer is at the very minimum a requirement. I will not use this service again or recommend them to anyone else.

I do invest in very good leather shoes and boots. This trip gets 5 STARS! I brought my Coach boots in Thursday afternoon and told him that I needed them resoled and ready by Saturday afternoon because I had to fly back to Chicago Sunday morning.
