02/28/2017 My fireplace would not turn on from the wall switch and there was black soot on the mantle and around the outside exhaust. When I called the company I had previously used i was told that the earliest appointment was two months out. I went ahead and made the appointment. Then someone was asking about gas fireplace service on Nextdoor and a few folks suggested RR Fireplace. I called them and was able to schedule an appointment one month earlier so cancelled the other guy. RR Fireplace came out today and was on time and did an excellent job cleaning and fixing my fireplace. They showed me that one of the clips was not fastened on the glass on front and that the logs were arranged in such a way that one was being singed from the flame causing the black soot. The technician asked who had service the fireplace the last time. He also had to look up on the Internet how to arrange the logs because he said the manufacturer uses the same logs in different ways on several of their fireplaces and he thought the previous technician used one of the other configurations by mistake. One hour and $179.52 later my fireplace was fixed, cleaned and working perfectly! I will be using RR Fireplace in the future. read more

Being as the cold came upon us quickly I was hard pressed to find someone to come out in less than 4-5 weeks. I messaged RR through Yelp and within an hour had a response from Tanya with an opening in less than a week. Dan came out and went right to work cleaning and making our old fireplace look like new. I was having an issue with the fire not firing up once the wall switch was flipped or sometimes it would cut off after running for a while. He diagnosed all the connections and turns out I had a faulty switch. He unfortunately didn't have a spare but I got one from Home Depot and got it hooked up. It was a simple fix for me as there's no electricity running through the wires I was working with just needed a switch to complete/ interrupt the circuit. Now we're warm and toasty and the fireplace looks beautiful. read more

We called RR Fireplace when the main burner on our propane fireplace would not stay lit. Dan arrived on time and within 10 minutes told us exactly what the problem was. He had to order a new valve for us; and we made a new appointment. Again, he showed up on time with the new valve. I was impressed with how efficient he was. I could tell while watching him work that he really knew what he was doing. He replaced the valve and cleaned the whole thing. While he was checking it over; he said that the thermocouple looked like it would be a problem in the near future. He replaced it and we now have almost a new fireplace. Justin came right on time and got to work after removing his shoes. He put down tarps on both sides of the fireplace for rug protection. He also petted the cat and dog! He got to work and cleaned and tuned up our fireplace. He even cleaned the logs! He was able to put the logs back just right, cleaned the glass so well our friends thought there wasn't glass in front of the fireplace! Anyway, their cost was more than reasonable. We recently purchased a home near Stanwood and as the weather got chilly we decided to have our gas stove checked out and receive maintenance before we started to use it. My house was supposed to close in 2 weeks when I called them. I had originally called 1st Response Heating and they came out and told me my fireplace was too old to get parts. Update: They no longer service pellet stoves, but they are a class act. I've had them out a number of times to get my pellet stove ready for the season and have always been pleased. The tech is friendly, and great about containing the mess to a drop cloth that he spreads out in the work area. Very efficient workflow, I think it took perhaps an hour or a little more to thoroughly inspect and clean, including the ashes in the "clean out T". Because of RR Fireplace, our pellet stoves run in tip top shape all through the heavy use season. read more

Fantastic customer service! I contacted 4 fireplace/pellet stove retailers to get a replacement igniter for my Whitfield pellet stove. Two of the three didn't work on Whitfield and the third never got back to me. Tanya at RR Fireplace contacted me right away and told me how much the part would cost and then told me I could purchase it online for less and her technician would install it for me. She went to great lengths to confirm that the part number she gave me was the correct one for my stove. After I ordered the part, I called to set up the recommended service/cleaning and was given a convenient time for the tech to arrive and be done so I could still get to work on time. The tech arrived only a few minutes late and was done promptly at the time quoted, the newly installed igniter works like a champ AND he gave me a 20% discount because my stove was "pretty clean" before he began. Let me start by saying that these guys provided excellent service and showed up during the one-hour time frame they indicated when I set up the appointment. The technician, Dan, started off with a joke and then got right to work. I had called other service people in the past they had no interest and fixing my gas fireplace, they just wanted to sell me a new one. Dan on the other hand made some adjustments and clean the fireplace and now it's working fine. He pointed out a few things that might need attention in the future and describe options if I ever wanted to replace it or convert back to Wood. Very impressed after a visit today for a 1998 gas stove that has the pilot light going but no ignition, manual or electric. The admin partner on the phone scheduling the appt was knowledgable and reassuring. The gentleman who made the service call cleaned the stove to be sure something wasn't clogged or needing a simple part from his truck. He showed me his equipment showing the unit was dead, not a surprise :) Special ordered the unit and while we've been put on the next available appt on the schedule, he promised if there is a cancellation or a way he will come out to install. No payment for this service or the part until it's installed and no subsequent visit charge. Our issue is mid-resolved, but I feel good about their service (recommended by Monroe Fireplace who couldn't come for days, and we also trust), and will recommend wholeheartedly so far :) read more

We have a 15+ old gas fireplace insert that would not stay lighted. We contacted PSE and the technician referred us to RR Fireplace. We did have to wait 2 weeks but it is not our primary head. The technician was late but called ahead to alert us. When he arrived he removed his shoes and covered the hearth in front of the fireplace before even starting. He was professional and didn't mind if I watched him. I think he was here an hour, vacuumed everywhere inside the fireplace and around it. Cleaned the glass, sensors and orifices. Terrible customer service. Their technician came out and was surprised when my wife told me she never heard the doorbell. I called back 15 minutes later from the appointment interval (9am to 10am) to see if the technician can come back. The receptionist accused me that this was the second time this has happened (untrue since the first appointment was rescheduled days ahead due to a conflict) and that not only can't the technician come back but the next appointment available was over a month away. Didn't even try to work with me to get someone back earlier. I was curious why my wife didn't hear the doorbell and found out on my RING doorbell activities that Dan never actually pushed the RING doorbell (but I did see him and his assistant on the motion activity). So the technician never actually pushed the RING doorbell or tried to call my cell phone when nobody answered the door or is willing to come back 15 minutes later after he was at the house. Great service _ our 20 yr old freestanding Gas Fireplace stop working - needed a repair _ Dan came out and did a great job!!!

I had RR Fireplace come out to clean my gas fireplace. He did a good job of cleaning it. However in the days after, my fireplace started fogging up. It had not done this prior to him coming out and cleaning it. So, I had them come back out check it. The employee seemed rather aggravated that he was at my house again, looking at my fireplace. When I asked him a question, he became irate. He started to yell at me and was very condescending. Constantly calling me "lady" in an aggressive tone and manner. My kids were upstairs and they were too afraid to come down until after he left. My teenager was shaking. The problem has yet to be resolved, as he said to get a second opinion and left it at that. I will never use RR fireplace again. I have never been treated so horribly in my life by a man, who clearly and purposely tried to be a bully. As he was leaving, I mentioned that I would be talking to the owner. He told me he was the owner! Completely unbelievable, that this man gives such little value to his clients! I would have given it to 0 Stars if I could have. read more

We were lucky enough to be recent customers of RR. Dan came and he not only fixed our gas fireplace, he made it better than new. It had never looked this good or put out nearly this much heat before, even when it was new. He saved us literally thousands of dollars, since I had other fireplace service companies come out and they gave me estimates of around $3800.00 to put a new one in. They said my old one was worn out, and they were not going to try to fix it. Dan made a few inexpensive repairs, and now it works GREAT! He diagnosed one of the problems was being created by a backdraft blowing the pilot light out, so he fashioned a small shield for it, and it is working perfectly. He had to come back twice to fine tune this fix, but he did not charge us for the extra visits. I have told others of your fine service, and I would not be surprised if your business has increased. My husband and I had a hard time finding any place that would service our pellet stove. The first place we called we had to wait 2 weeks. So we made an appointment and waited. Then on the day of they forgot to send someone. So we went with this company. We again had to wait over 2 weeks. We were told they would be there between 1-2pm. At 2:15 on the day of my husband called and asked what was going on. He was told the person was on their way. At 3:15 he called again and no answer. All he got was a phone recording saying they would be open until 6pm. Between him and I we called over 10 times. No answer. No one ever showed up. It is now 4 days later and still no one has called us back or showed up. This is the WORST customer service I have ever seen in my life. I plan to bill this company for the time my husband took off of work because they didn't have the common respect to their customers to even call them back. I would give this place negative stars if I could. I have NEVER left a yelp review ever but for this kind of crappy service I took time away from my day too. I use yelp a lot to find places and I really hope this review keeps others from every calling this place. read more
