I had a horrible expensive experience with 4-Day. I went into our project with confidence because Eric sounded so believable and honest. My confidence faded as soon as there was a problem. The surround cracked because they used the wrong material according to the owner of the stone company. The stone cutter refunded his part of the charge back to 4-Day but I received no refund at all from 4-Day, not from the cutter or from 4-Day's mark-up nor the stone material. After trying to reach Eric many times I stopped for a bit of time because of illness. After again leaving messages with no return calls I decided I was out the $1700+. I am still furious and out the money I could use to pay a reputable company. read more

Four Day Fireplace! What a joke! They can't do anything in 4 months, let alone 4 days! These guys are worthless scammers! They took almost $11,000. of our money, and ran with it! It took them over a month to start the job. They barely started (and did a lousy job with what they did do) They installed a 7 year old fireplace they had in their showroom, and never got the hookup to change it to propane. It almost burned our house down, and they never came back to fix or replace it. The fireplace has NEVER worked!! Our old one was better and they took that too!! Probably sold it to someone else they've scammed! They've ghosted us for 3 months now, and pretty sure they're going out of business as they've even vacated the building they occupied. The building owner is suing them for 4 months of unpaid rent. The guy who scammed us is named Casey Henry, and we think he's still trying to do business out of his truck with his dirty boss Paul! They still answer their business phone (at least with other people as they've obviously blocked us!) so we're not sure what they're doing, but I can tell you it's not good at all. This is fraud, and they should go to jail! Stay away from this company, and these crooks that are running it!! They tricked us into earning their trust, then they stole from us, without finishing what they started! I'm pretty sure they planned this from the very beginning! Very impressive process and team. From estimating through installation, Eric kept in touch with us and proactively checked in to ensure we did not have any questions. After a thorough onsite visit to gather our input, Eric provided a detailed estimate, which unknown to him, exceeded our budget - and then worked with us to make the project within our budget while maintaining our priorities and aesthetic. During the estimating processes, we were told a 6-month lead time was needed due to the current climate (COVID) - and they were able to start/complete the project more than a month earlier than planned. As installation began, the team prepared the jobsite to ensure zero damage to our wood floors and surrounding areas. Throughout the project and upon completion the jobsite (our home) was kept clean - like they had not been there. At the conclusion of the project, we had a beautiful show piece that looked like it had been to the house all along. Eric helped with the design and was extremely helpful! We started out asking for ledger and changed our minds during the process on fireplace brands and finish we wanted. We could not have expected more. The crew that came out to our home was extremely respectful and pleasant. Joe was our crew leader/supervisor and was just great! We went with a MantleMount for the TV which required some extra work and the crew installed the built in mount perfectly! (MM750). We finally went with large tile and Eric helped us with the grout color and other finishes and it looks beautiful! The surrounding metal strip and the screen were damaged/missing from supplier and they are taking care of all the warranty requests and will come add the missing and damaged pieces as soon as they arrive. I am reviewing the Marysville Team. First, I am very happy with my gas fireplace insert. The workmanship was done efficiently and the techs were great from start to finish. They also called me when they were on their way which is always appreciated. The reason I'm not giving 5 or even 4 stars is because of the communication between myself and the office staff. When I initially paid a deposit back in August, I was told it would be two months before the install would happen. Two months later, I reached out to the salesman who I was working with and he told me that the installation would now be another month pushing it to three months. I worked with their scheduler and we set up a day. Later, she was able to bump it up a week which was even better. Now, here is my grievance with them: I was strongly advised by their salesperson that I should get a permit and inspection for the gas insert. He told me it would cost $400. I agreed and accepted this and paid for it. Upon installation, I asked the techs about the inspections, apparently I had to have two: one for the gas and one for the electric that was also installed with the insert. The techs didn't know when the inspections were to take place. I called the office, spoke with Chris who said he was in contact with the electric inspector and that he was to come by at some point. I never saw the electric inspector. A week later, I reached out again via email to Chris and Carrie about the inspections. Chris wrote me a long email stating that the inspectors were busy and that he didn't know when they could get done. He said he'd reach out and inquire and would let me know of any new developments. I never heard back. I wrote Chris again last week on 12/10 saying if the inspections aren't completed this month, could I at least get a refund($400). I've heard nothing. I have since had to dispute this amount with my credit card and I got my money back as of now. To recap: happy with the fireplace and installation, I'm unhappy with the lack of communication from office managers, staff, and not refunding me for a service I had paid for but was never rendered, or followed up. They are the ones who told me to get a permit and inspections. read more

The short: Four Day Fireplace was incredible from start to finish, they're the only one-stop shop in Seattle that could demo my wood-burning fireplace, and build a new unit for a gas-burning fireplace. The long: As this was going to be an expensive project that overhauled our family room, I wanted to make sure it was done right. I contacted an over-the-top amount of companies for this job. Of the 14(!!!) I connected with, only Four-Day Fireplace, Sutter Hearth, and All-American Chimney could do what I needed. Sutter required me to contract out the demo and construction work, and in the end the total cost was negligible compared to Four-Day, plus they estimated it would take 3-4 weeks. All-American Chimney quoted me at 1/3 the price and said they could do it in 2 days, which seemed too good to be true. They also cleaned my chimney and ripped me off for that. But there were too many red flags to ignore with them. Four Day's price was competitive and their timeline was short but realistic. Four-Day was incredibly thorough and responsive the entire process from consultation through install. Eric, their project manager, reached out via his cell consistently to make sure the entire project was done right. Plus his team overly nice the entire time they were in our house, and Jeremiah handled all, was often a step-ahead on all my OCD detailed asks. (New custom home build) Purchase and /installation of Majestic Biltmore 42 Wood Burning fireplace. Installation was horrendously ugly with the vent stack sticking up and out from the chimney chase by three feet plus county failed inspection. Installers were too lazy at time of install to make the needed adjustments to make the install a quality job and Four day was avoiding taking any responsibility for the ugly install. Four day kept trying to pass blame to code measurements of the stack. Through my own do diligence I was able to debunk their buff and they finally unwilling installed a shorter stack. With the failed county inspection of the Majestic Biltmore 42 Wood Burning fireplace I once again called upon Eric Shaw, Project Coordinator. However this time I was not able to persuade him to take any responsibly to bring Four day Fireplace installation up to county code. Instead of helping and doing the right thing, Eric gave me instructions on what I needed to do to get their install to pass code. At this point, I gave up with Four day fireplace. Please stay faraway from this company. Even the side gas piping job I paid their installers to do failed. read more

It took 3 months to be completed and installed. Here is what $5K gets you: The walls inside keep falling, roof falls inside of fireplace, the supply gas valve failed right at the 1 year mark. (1 year warranty, conveniently.) And at year 2 the paint off! The workers are nice, but this product is a reflection of the company.. and this is truly unacceptable for the amount of money spent. Loved our experience with Four Day Fireplace. First off, you need to visit their showroom. This is the only place were I was able to view many fireplaces with various fireplace hearths. Sooo many options... For someone like me, it really helped me visualize my fireplace project and finalize what I was envisioning. We worked with Project Manager, Eric, throughout our entire project. Eric assisted us in meeting our needs and was also shared ideas on how to make the project more cost effective. Eric was amazing and was available to use at all times of the day and sometimes night. We started consulting with FDF in September. One of our biggest challenges was getting on their schedule to get the project completed. This was entirely our fault... We should have started this project during the summer. As the cold weather hits, EVERYONE is thinking about remodeling their fireplaces so our timing was a little off. We waited about three weeks for our appointment. But when the FDF team started our project, they replaced two of our wood fireplaces with gas inserts in three days. Our downstairs fireplace was merely replacing the wood fireplace with a gas insert so that project was literally done completed in a couple hours. Our upstairs fireplace was a little more complex as we demo'ed our existing half wall brick fireplace and rebuilt to create a floor to ceiling hearth. The workers were very knowledgeable and worked fast. We hit a little issue with the structural foundation on one of our fireplaces but they consulted with other members of FDF to ensure the project was completed accurately. I also need to note they were very courteous and flexible with working around our twin's nap schedule. As a mommy who needs her breaks, I was VERY appreciative of this. Overall, very happy with FDF's customer service and their work. Would highly recommend working with FDF and Eric. Also, visiting their showroom is a MUST. It is truly impressive. read more

It has lights which can be dimmed as well as an inside overhead light. It's absolutely magnificent. The workers (we had Jeremiah and Joe) were thoughtful as to our health (masks were worn continually) as well as impeccable care of our home during construction. I don't often write reviews, but this time I have to share how highly I recommend Four Day Fireplace!! My Father in Law is a retired contractor, and he and my husband and I are on our third house build/remodel, so we work with a lot of different local companies for different parts of our build/remodels, and I absolutely wish every company was as responsive, reliable, efficient and professional as FDF! The details: We wanted to convert a fireplace from wood to gas, and also move it over in the wall about 20 inches. I talked to two other fireplace companies who said they could do it, then after coming onsite and spending my time looking at the project, said they wouldn't do it or quoted me 2x what FDF eventually quoted me. We had almost given up on the project (due to the quoted cost and frustration with the inconsistent/rude communication from the companies we'd talked to) when I called FDF. I was scheduled for a phone consult with Eric, who looked at photos, listened to what I wanted, and was able to recommend the best solution for our unique circumstances. What he recommended was a better solution than what we thought we were looking for, half the estimated cost of the other fireplace companies, they'd let us do the parts of the work we wanted to (demo and framing, and our plumber put in the gas line) and they could fit us in their calendar months faster than the other companies. My father in law almost couldn't believe such a responsible company still existed. Our fireplace is in now, and it looks gorgeous. The install was fast, FDF was responsive when we called a few times with questions and clarifications, and to top it off, when we had a miscommunication about who was installing the key valve on the pipe (them or our plumber), Eric had a guy come back out and add the key valve for free the NEXT DAY. I really can't recommend FDF highly enough. They are a rising star company. 10/10 hire them now. read more

The Four Day Fireplace technician came to our home to repair our gas fireplace. He initially misdiagnosed the problem, returned with the wrong part, came back with the correct part, and ultimately left a wire to the LED lights disconnected. He was here four different times to repair the same issue. When he finally installed the correct control module, the fireplace still would not work and he then found a loose wire in the exhaust fan, which was apparently the only problem all along. Of course I had to pay for a new unneeded control module because it was now installed. However, he didn't check his work and when he turned on the fireplace, the LEDs didn't illuminate and he said that the LED assembly was also faulty, so after he left, I ordered a new part from the manufacturer. I called Four Day Fireplace when the part arrived and was told that they wouldn't install it since I did not purchase it from them. I subsequently called Fireside Home Solutions, which had no problem installing the part. However, when that technician checked for the problem, he discovered that the wire for the LED assembly to the control module was not connected at which time he simply reconnected it and everything was working correctly. I contacted Four Day Fireplace and asked that they reimburse the $319.06 that I had to pay to find and correct the disconnected LED wire. They told me that since I did not give them the opportunity to find their own mistake, I was not entitled to a reimbursement. I observed Four Day Fireplace technician every time he was here and I am convinced he would have simply replaced the LED assembly without every checking the LED assembly connection. That is my opinion and the owner of Four Day Fireplace did not agree and would not reimburse the $319.06. In summary, if you ever need a gas fireplace repaired, I would recommend Fireside Home Solutions and absolutely avoid Four Day Fireplace. read more

They took an unsightly inherited hole in the wall (prior owners pulled out the gas insert and put a plate over it) and replaced it with a beautiful wood burner. The floor to ceiling slate and floating mantel were everything I could have hoped for. But besides doing good work, these guys went above and beyond to make sure that pre-existing challenges were dealt with. When suppliers threw them a curve ball, they communicated the challenges and did everything in their power to mitigate the issues, even at their own cost. I never write reviews because, well I just don't feel the desire to put my name to a recommendation. But that is not the case with Four Day Fireplace. These guys are the best. read more

From beginning to end, Four Day Fireplace (FDF) provides excellent caring professional services so that you can enjoy the experience of a new fireplace. We bought a Luxuria 74 gas fireplace. Eric came to our house to assess & discuss our options as well as listen to our vision. McKenzie would immediately respond via email or calls regarding any questions we had & provide all info we needed. FDF demolished a whole wall (not load bearing) & rebuilt it with a steel frame (which is their standard) for the fireplace. Jeremiah & Bill spent a few days building & installing the fireplace. Jeremiah explained the process of the completed work at the end of each day. We decided to put up the drywall ourselves to save money. Jeremiah & Bill made sure that the frame was square so that we had no bulges or problems putting up the drywall. I got to set the inside of the fireplace (logs, glass) to my liking. My husband has rebuilt/remodeled our house inside & out so he is very particular with workmanship. He was pleasantly impressed and happy with the work done and with the quality of the fireplace. The money we saved is going to purchasing a mantel from FDF. FDF is local (so you know they'll be around for a long time), experienced (so you know they're knowledgeable), and provide exemplary customer service (so you're never in the dark about the process). We tried this business on the recommendations from the people that put in our fireplace. Apparently it was a sibling of the people that put in our fireplace. The work was okay, we were fairly happy with the results. But the service was sort of bad or unprofessional and the quote was off. We hired them for ten hours of work. They gave us a parts and labor estimate. The quote came out to about 120.00 per hour for labor. With that, you might get two workers, you might get two workers, or you might get one. You might not have the people show up that are supposed to show up, and then they will try to bilk you for double the labor fee. You do not get mason journeymen. You will get an cushioned "miscellaneous" fee which in our case, was about 75% above the actual miscellaneous fee costs. Sometimes that cushion is needed. However, our biggest issue, was that the estimator quoted us about 1200.00 for actual materials (the facing and the hearth), when it was in fact 350.00. We asked for an invoice, he provided one, so we saw the discrepancy ourselves. We asked for at least half of the over-estimate in return (over 1000.00) and they offered 300.00, and then stopped taking our communication. We are contemplating small claims court. So, be sure you check things out. There are some things we should have done different, but overall, we feel like we were taken advantage of by these people. Oh - and if you have allergies or anything like that, these guys are excessive smokers. During our ten hour project, they took 13 smoke breaks. read more

I recently hired Four Day Fireplace to install a wood burning fireplace insert for me as my fireplace is too damaged to use by itself. The customer service has responded almost immediately after an email has been sent with an answer to whatever question(s) I had. The installers were professional and cleaned up very well. Once installed Ive had some issues with the fan blower rattling so i emailed them a couple days ago. they were out to fix it today and fortunately it was a very easy fix. a manufacturing issue where the blower was simply too close to the insert structure, so all the tech had to do was pull it away from the structure. We had a natural gas line hooked up to our outdoor grill. Eric was VERY quick to respond to give me a quote and I was able to get an appointment on my preferred day. Pricing was clearly explained to me and his over the phone estimate ended up being spot on! Two guys came out and spent less than 3 hours doing an excellent job of installing black iron gas pipe from our house to our grill. When I made the appointment, I requested that they repaint the inside of the natural gas fireplace. When they serviced the fireplace, the technician would not perform the repaint. The technician recommend replacing a part on the fireplace place, and I agreed. That was two months ago, and I haven't heard anything from Four Day.
