Probably some of the most incompetent techs around will take the work in then tell you " yea I don't have to much experience with those " after you pay tho, I went in with two of the same gun identical build except one is brushless , other than that gear swap and trigger swap and some compression parts . I bring in one working gun one broken , I get back two non working guns , they have them for an additional 2.5 weeks breaks my brushless motor and the. Just tells me I can only get one to work .now I'm having to take it to another tech spend another $290 on top of the $120 that I already spent there to undo everything he did that's including the new brushless motor I had to purchase, bottom line DONT TAKE THE WORK IF YOU CANT DO IT . They only fix guns if it's something they carry in stock. (Ordering parts is not an option) Not that big of selection either of guns they sell. Guy asked if I needed help but kinda just breezed through the problem I was having instead of giving solutions or offering help. I asked if they could have a look at my gun that's having problems but he said it would take a day or 2 before the get to it and walk away as if they would rather not do that. Felt like I wasted my time, service was rushed and unhelpful. Didn't really feel valued as a customer. Was essentially gonna get a HPA tank but they were sold out. read more

This store was ok. I've been here twice now. Both times I was greeted immediately by people at the counter just inside the door as soon as I entered. The first time, I was there to purchase a new airsoft gun. They did not have what I wanted. Unfortunately, they didn't try to offer anything similar in quality/price range so I left and made that purchase elsewhere. I came back a second time for accessories and supplies. I was free to shop the store without being bugged or oversold on what I needed. I had a question and spoke with an employee, who quickly found exactly what I needed and helped me check out. The store has a small selection of gear, a moderate selection of guns, a few magazines, and some additional miscellaneous parts. The prices seemed to be a little less than Modern Airsoft. It seems like the store has been around a while. I know Modern Airsoft is rising up the ranks and seems to be cornering the San Diego airsoft market. I think Airsoft Extreme would be wise to start sponsoring some events or "private party" days at local fields or even fields in Riverside, San Bernardino, or other nearby counties. I think if they put on some decent events they'd build shop loyalty and traffic. read more

Sooo it's been 3 years now and it's only been getting better! Small shop compared to others but with great options and chill employees. Lawrence holds it down in and out of the shop and is great at answering questions and giving updates on the Facebook group. It's not perfect, and let's be real, no shop is. So when there are hiccups they don't hesitate to accommodate appropriately without having to be asked. They support military and even have veterans employed which is great to see. AEX is definitely the place to go to for all things airsoft. If you're new to the game, these guys are super welcoming and will definitely help you get on track. Tips: Tune into the corporate return/exchange policy. As far as retail goes, it's a pretty short fuse. I'm sure they have the reasons though. Try to go to the shop on a slow day. These guys love to talk shop and are willing to share all kinds of knowledge with you. On a busy day they are still pretty cool, but they've got to take care of business, so be patient. If they don't have what you are looking for in store, chances are they can help you order it from their online store. If you need to bring in a gun for service, make sure that you have it in a gun bag or box. Do not open carry from your car to the store. Have fun. read more

I went in for the first Tim yesterday after a full day at one of the local airsoft parks. Really I was just there to browse and get a feel for several different guns. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice, patient and kind the employees were. Most hobby type employees at say a bike store or RC place are kind of cocky and jerky. Not these folks. This was my first time shopping at one of the Airsoft Extreme store in San Diego. Everything was nice we walked In, the employees there looked good at their jobs( So I thought ) as we walked in we didn't get as much as a "Hi" or a "Welcome" so I told what I was looking for which, was a Green gas, metal pistol. One of the employees got up from the counter and led to the back to show me the selection of guns. This is where I had the most problems, when at the gun counter he shows me a couple of pistols for me choose from, all of the pistols were of high quality, so I ask if I can hold one. As I'm inspecting it I accidentally hit the release for the clip and the small metal box went plummeting to the ground. When I went to pick it up there was a small crack on the plastic baseplate. The crack was about 1/2 an inch long and the clip still worked fine and the plastic part could be replaced, but instead of saying anything about it the employee just stood there letting awkward silence take the room until I ask about how I could make up for it and his was pay for the whole clip which was $30 and after doing a bit of research it is only $10 to replace the baseplate so instead of paying for the clip we just bought the whole pistol. The rest of the experience was cringy and awkward. After paying for everything we talked about how we will never go that store again. So to wrap it up I don't suggest this store for it's terrible customer service and for their bad policies. read more

My son came in just starting out in the airsoft world, he walks in with a face covering a plastic shield covering his entire face he notices one of the workers with his mask off eating which we think is great and I think mask wearing is ridiculous but that aside some gentleman told my son that he needed to wear a facemask underneath the feast shield crazy right so this eager young man asks to hold one of the guns (non-loaded non-lethal airsoft gun) The gentleman tells him that he can't hold a gun without a parent I understand you must have a high theft rate of 14-year-olds running out of your store with airsoft guns but it was a terrible letdown for my son that is what happened the day that I left my review. My back was out so I couldn't get out of the car to go in with him. That's what happened. We live in Oceanside California and my son bought his first airsoft gun for Christmas online he and I went into the airsoft store down here they let him hold every gun he wanted to hold didn't mind that he bought his gun online their attitude was they just want to make the sport great. I've shopped here a couple times. Each time I have to prep myself on the customer service. Today I went in to actually sell some of my guns to someone (for those of you who don't know, airsoft is a dying sport and it's safest place to sell or trade Airsoft guns is at an Airsoft store. I forgot an Allen key and asked the front desk if I may borrow one and he said it would be fine I just have to ask the guy in the showroom... the guys name I believe is Joel, he's the reason the sport is dying. I asked and he told me his tech is using all the tools and said no, "you shouldn't forget your tools". I needed one tool and instead of stating let me see if my tech is using it, he was an asshole. I was exceptionally impressed with the men who run this store. Specifically, with two employees: Neil, and Lawrence. Both of these men were two of the most professional individuals I've ever dealt with. Neil took a lot of time to take apart my WE hi-capa 1911, and helped me fully trick it out and fit a custom slide to it. He worked on it right in front of me, explained everything he did, and how the entire system worked. I was totally blown away. Lawrence helped me with my barrel and I quickly found him to be a walking encyclopedia when it came to his craft. He really loves what he does, and it's contagious. I then wanted to know which BBS were the best weight wise and he educated me on how that worked. I recently went to Airsoft Extreme to get my friend's hop-up and inner barrel reassembled (if you know what that means), and was greeted by a very helpful and straightforward tech at the front counter. He asked what I needed help with, and after a few words, he told me the price of the service (very cheap), and after I agreed, he went upstairs to perform the work. I took a look around the shop while I waited, it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. The interior was very clean and organized, and they had a vast selection of airsoft products, it was like a mini-Evike.com Superstore in my opinion! Very nice, indeed. After the tech was finished with the work, he notified me of an incompatibility issue with one of the parts I brought in, and offered to switch it out for a compatible part at no extra cost. I obliged, and he went back up to finish the service, and came back down after a brief time. He then handed me back my parts and told me the service was free of charge! Very positive experience! Lawrence was awesome! As a regular firearm shooter, I was looking for a way to save money on ammunition and still get semi-realistic training. Based on my requirements, he pointed me to gas blow-back versions of my weapons, which provide the recoil (albeit minimized) and realistic round count that I'm used to. He let me test fire the weapons to get a sense of their feel and behavior. I'm in! I've already talked a friend of mine into trying out airsoft with me because of my experience at Airsoft Extreme San Diego with Lawrence. I will definitely be making my purchase from AEX. read more

Wishing I could leave a 5 star review. They have a large selection with good prices. If you need anything parts or accessories they most likely have it. Unfortunately I will not be returning. I would advise getting your parts and doing the work your self. If you are like me, new to this sport and do not really know a lot about this they know you won't check and if you do check it voids your warranty. I'm sorry but if I get my oil changed on my car I'm going to check the oil dip stick to see if it looks and smells new. Technicians for cars and Airsoft seem to be similar. After spending over four bills on the parts and labor and extras I was surprised when the gentleman I spoke to about this all he said was he wanted the stock parts. It's the fact of the gentleman not having customer service skills"let me take care of this" or " I'm sorry about that let me make this right." All he cared about was the stock parts. The two parts that were missing was a grand total of.... $15. Good thing for online shopping! And this just motivates me to learn how to work on my own gun! read more

I've played airsoft for three years now. While I've done business with multiple vendors, Airsoft Extreme is the one I keep coming back to. The staff is friendly, the techs are top notch, and the product selection (while American heavy) is good with multiple options. The shop itself is as tidy as I expect a shop run by a bunch of adrenaline junkie nerds to be. Turn around time on weapons taken into the shop is pretty quick, and if I've discovered issues with work in the field they've been fast to resolve the issue. I should note that issues do happen, but this is not out of the ordinary for any operation of this nature. It's not until you take something out in the field and give it a live fire test that you find all the bugs. When they're found seriously the techs are quick to find a solution.
