STAY AWAY! Incompetent. We went with Airworks because they assured us they could install AC using our existing lines. Price was agreed upon and work commenced. After a full day's work I was notified the existing lines won't work and had to pay another $1000 to install new ones to finish the job. They never thought to test existing lines before stating they would work just fine. After end of work first day, we had no power in our baby's room or master bedroom! They had cut wires during their installation. It took the electrician 2 days to find and fix. Once the job was finally finished and we had AC we thought these people were out of our lives for good. No such luck. 3 weeks later I have water leaking from my ceiling and into the drywall. Come to find out they also dislodged some plumbing during the installation and caused a slow leak that built up and eventually caused severe water damage. The owner of the company came to inspect the damage and tried to stonewall us and not fix their mistake. He was rude and abrasive. Only after I threatened to file an insurance claim did they accept responsibility to fix the damage they caused. Communication was a chore. Multiple calls with no call backs. There's plenty of AC companies out there. STAY AWAY FROM AIRWORKS. read more

We had a terrible experience with the process of installing a Moen Flo water shut off valve as required by Farmer's insurance. They make you work through Frontdoor, a web-based home repair service. They were incompetent an a nuisance to deal with. AirWorks cancelled the appointment once and we had to go through the whole process again. On the agreed date, we were given a service window of 10 AM-2PM. When the plumber did not show up at our house by 2, I called AirWorks to find out what the story was. After three calls, they said the plumber had gone to the wrong house, and was now driving to his next job. I insisted that they finish the job--this is a second home and I had driven for 2 hours to meet the plumber. The plumber showed up about 3 PM. He did a good job on the installation. AirWorks said that a supervisor would call to listen to my story. That hasn't happened. So, long story short, dealing with Airworks through Frontdoor for Farmers has been a headache. The plumber was good, but AirWorks should have called me when they were turned away from the wrong house. read more

We have had trouble with the furnace not functioning as expected. 2 service providers made an attempt to fix it but defaulted each time. Today Mr Scot Boren of Air Works showed. We were so satisfied with his work. The furnace was up and running in 30 mins. The thermostat was working after it was discover it disconnected. All of the vents were working as expected. I literally can't speak more highly of a company than I can about AirWorks Solutions. Special shout out to Sam. These guys came out on a service call to my home in 2021, after the HVAC system original to my 1981 home started throwing off water. Sam diagnosed the problem as being the condensation drainage pipe, which bizarrely came up from under the ground, and had been clogged by dirt and debris. He got that cleared out. He also asked if I'd like an estimate for a new system, to which I answered "sure". A few days later, Michael came to my home and produced a quote and answered my many questions. Michael is a straight shooter, which I appreciate. In April 2022, I decided it was a good idea to buy a complete new HVAC system. Between inflation and industrial parts shortages, not to mention the hot summer rapidly approaching, I got in touch with Michael, who honored the 5 month old quote. A week or so later, technicians spent the day removing our ancient 1980 system, and replacing it with a new system, which includes a Nest thermostat and a built-in air purifier. While the technicians replaced and lengthened the condensation drainage pipe, it turned out to still be a problem. The first day we turned the new system on, in June, it ran for 15 minutes and stopped. After trying to figure out the issue, I gave up on a very hot and humid Friday night and called the AirWorks Solutions phone number, expecting to leave a message and a call back on Monday. Instead, Sam answered the call and came to our home that Friday night, about an hour after my call. Sam discovered the drainage pipe was not clearing properly, and that that design of a pipe simply did not work as needed. He spent 90 minutes achieving a work-around to get us through that weekend, and explained that the system requires a water pump and re-routed drainage to be truly dependable. He left us saying that he would speak with the owner and with Michael to get our problem finally resolved. Flash forward three business days, and a technician arrived to install the water pump and re-route the drainage into our washing machine's drainage pipe. AirWorks Solution did not charge us for Sam's extensive Friday night service call or the add-on work to make the new system truly fail safe. I am grateful to this company and feel 100% that these guys are the best. read more

Things started off better than average, great even. The rep was responsive and accommodating which is more than the vast majority. Then things began to slide. Once we finally got installation booked after multiple tries, the team was clean, respectful, and efficient for the most part. The issues really began when the installation team left....leaving holes in our ceiling from multiple attempts to locate studs using screws into the 100-yr-old plaster (no stud finders I suppose?), open vent holes that were cut to the wrong size, dislodged can lights, cracked plaster around those, and a broken electrical panel door. They also didn't program the system to perform with the accessories installed so we weren't able to get it to work correctly. Zero support was provided but many offers to upsell other products rather than troubleshoot. We don't expect flawless work but we do expect teams to report and be responsible for damage caused and provide technical support for the product installed (or correctly install it the first time). It's been *months* since the installation. We've had to contact Airworks multiple times to complete the work yet they've asked for full payment more than once. We. Have. Holes. In. Our. House. They finally sent "handymen" who were unprepared for the work despite us sending photos of everything and a full day booking request. Those jokers not only complained multiple times about not getting paid by Airworks to complete the work but left the ceiling repairs they did covered in dirt with the light fixtures visibly plastered to the ceiling. All of them. Beware y'all. Yes, the system itself is operational. Yes, they installed it fairly neatly not counting the damage. If you're looking for above-average customer service (and are paying for it as compared to multiple competitive quotes), this isn't it. Don't say you weren't warned. read more

The techs of AirWorks were great. Michael Martinez and Joey were there on time and ready to start the installation of our new furnace. They were very professional and respectful of our property with floor coverings and care. They installed all new insulation, wiring and ductwork prior to furnace. After installation they ran the unit for 10 minutes to evaluate for any problems. Afterwards the clean up was perfect as if never there. Buyer Beware! Be sure to ask for itemized estimate BEFORE you sign. Yes, the tech was extremely professional, friendly and helpful when he came to replace my thermostat. He suggested that I also replace my hot surface ignitor. The estimate was $600. I agreed. without seeing a breakdown of the costs. It took one hour total for thermostat and ignitor replacement. After the tech left I started thinking. Why 600 dollars? Was this an expensive part? I researched online. Hot surface ignitors are about $75. I asked for an itemized breakdown of invoice, including cost of parts. Here is the response that I received: " As a service company, we practice lump sum billing as we don't sell parts or equipment on its own. This enables us to save you money on additional sales tax and bundle services,, creating economies of scale" Could someone explain to me how paying $600 to install a $75 part in one hour is saving me money ? read more

I am a general contractor and my hvac company I normally use was too busy this week so I decided to go Google and find a local company. I figured whoever puts their face and their children's face on the side of their company vans must be good and I was right. I called in at 7am thinking I was going to leave a VM and they answered right away, they schedule me in for the same morning and EDWYN did a phenomenal job. We took the time to go over the components of the system and provided one preventative recommendation that we will be doing sometime next week. At no point was he pushy to get me to spend more than the tube up yet took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. When my toilet broke, I called my warranty company and paid the service fee of $100 to have them come out and check. Of course, things did not end up in my favor when they told me that the damage to the toilet was not normal wear and tear, and they would not cover the replacement. I got a quote from the plumber that I was referred to by the warranty company. And then I got 2 more quotes from other plumbers. Their pricing varied and I didn't know them well enough to chose.... Remembered that airworks recently added plumbing to their list of services. So they were no longer, just the AC/ heating people I had known about in the community, they had increased their services available. I reached out to Stephanie, the brilliant mom who's pictured on their vehicles and told her what I needed.They were very quick and responsive to scheduling an appointment for a technician to come out to my house and replace my toilet, or was practically instantaneous. They were even easier to work with than my warranty company. The day before, I got a text message saying that they would arrive between a four hour period. I must say, It's very easy to respond to them in regards to text messages. I got a text message letting me know when the technician/rep Riley would be arriving. He was very friendly, informative, and helpful. He explained what he'd be doing and let me know the process, as well as the time estimation of completion. Riley was really friendly and really fun to work with. We talked a little bit while he was removing my old toilet and installing the new one. Get ready for the addition of plumbing. Explained in plain language and gave me options for repair or replacement. Understood my need for an economic solution even though it wouldn't be permanent, but he explained a plan of a partial solution now, and a permanent solution later. He was patient, and didn't rush through the service call. Even though it was 6 o'clock in the evening, and his last call of the day, he offered to stay an additional 15 or 20 minutes to be sure that the house was cooling off properly, though I was fully satisfied and I didn't need him to spend any more time with me. AirWorks was GREAT! I called them on a Monday - very late in the day (about 5 PM) - after I tried everyone else in Ventura. Our heater had gone out and we were expecting a cold front to move through. While it wasn't going to snow, it was going to be rather cool. Much to my surprise, not only did they answer the phone, but the person on the other end of the phone sent someone out to diagnose the problem. Jared, a very competent tech, actually showed up shortly after the call. Our heater was officially 'dead'. We scheduled them to come out and replace the heater on that Friday. I was given a time between 12 and 2 for the heater techs to show. They showed up at 1 (which most installers will show up 2 hours late, but they made quick work of removing and replacing my old heater. Vince, the installer, had me warm and toasty before 3:30...and it was all done quickly, cleanly and professionally. I will use AirWorks again, beyond a shadow of a doubt. They were so good at what they did, I purchased a maintenance contract for them to come out and service the unit throughout the winter. They have never disappointed me. A year ago I finally had to replace the condenser. It was more than 20 years old. They tried as long as they could to keep it going with minimal cost. All of a sudden a week ago (when it started getting hot) the AC did not seem to be cooling as much as I felt it should. So I called Air Works. They came out the next day. Austin was the guy that came out. He was clean, kind, thorough, professional and honest!!! It turned out a piece that was installed in the furnace last year (when the condenser was replaced), was recalled. So they are ordering a new part and will install Monday. The bottom line is, Austin (like Steve and Sam before), could have said anything, but he was HONEST!!!! This is how EVERYONE at Air Works is, including the owners, Kevin and Stephanie. My tenant let me know the furnace would occasionally not work.  My brother-in-law who is a HVAC contractor says 9 out of 10 times it is simply a Flame Sensor that needs to be cleaned. I called Airworks and described what needed to be done. The representative assured me the technician would call me after diagnosing the problem. Instead ,the technician, Bill Grissom, asked the tenant to call me and let me know he would need another $150 dollars to perform the diagnosis. Completely unprofessional behavior for Airworks to have the tenant act as a go between. The tenant expressed to me that he did not feel comfortable being put in that position. I asked the tenant to have the technician call me directly to describe his proposed work. I asked him why he couldn't simply clean the Flame Sensor for the cost of the $85 service call. He could not answer. Instead, he insisted on upselling me a full diagnosis for a total cost of $235.  I refused the upsell and performed the work myself a few days later. All that had to be done was simply remove (1) screw, wipe off the sensor residue and replace the screw. In this case, I was billed $85 dollars for Bill Grissom to drive to my house and not perform any work. Immediately after the service call, I received a text from Airworks asking me to rate Bill's performance. According to the text, all of the techs have a "contest" to see who can get the most reviews each month. This "contest" is a perfect opportunity to see which tech can bring in the most sales each month and seems like an ethics issue to me.   If you have any DIY skills, do yourself a favor and watch one of the many You Tube videos on the (5) most common furnace issues that can easily be fixed by the homeowner before you pay for a service call. read more

Just posting to say they are not actually available 24/7 as advertised; we need emergency HVAC help for an elderly relative in LA and specifically looked for a place that is open or has emergency services on Sunday. We called their "24/7" line and the message says they are closed for "day of rest." I don't begrudge the resting, but don't advertise you're open if you are not. read more

Neither Edison nor another air conditioner business could come out for the better part of a week to fix things. I called AirWorks and they came out the same day. Technician Parker was friendly, professional, courteous, and efficient. He had my air conditioner up and running in minutes and I was so impressed that I also purchased a maintenance plan to prevent my equipment from breaking down again.
