With every visit, I try to get my ramen super spicy since a lot of, not only ramen places, but Japanese restaurants, spicy means not bland (no offense). And this is the same. I got the super spicy and it just tasted like slightly chili flavored ramen. Imagine someone did cook something spicy in the bowl of ramen and then rinsed the bowl quickly twice. I got the tonkotsu ramen with chashu (2 pieces), seasoned egg, green onions, corn and no bean sprout. Pretty oily and a bit salty and again, not a hint of spiciness. Noodles had a nice chew to it at least. Just alright if anything.

For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. The tonkostu spicy used the same broth just added the chili oil to it and gave it a good bite. The noodles had a nice chew to it. It was just the perfect bowl on a chilly May evening. I flew from San Fran to meet my family in the area and was craving some ramen. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a well respected and reviewed spot nearby! It was a rainy day and the place was packed with people. We were so excited to get seated because the smell of the broth was oozing through the window and made us so hungry. First and foremost, wow the service by the owners was impeccable. They were greeting every single one of us and even the kids with a warm smile even in the midst of a seemingly very busy dinner time. Walking in, I already knew that this will be a great dining experience. Secondly, I was pleasantly surprised by the price of this place! Coming from the San Francisco area, the prices were extremely generous. I love especially when popular spots freeze their prices to honor long-time customers. Last but not least, the Spicy Pork Ramen was so so tasty. The broth tasted really deep in flavor and the meat was so tender yet chewy in just the right way. The owner was kind enough to approach the table and ask if I needed a free noodle refill! I can't stress how important additional noodle is to some ramen-addicts out there. Exceptional ramen and pho, loved the complimentary pickled daikon and ginger, the bottle of chilled water was a nice touch. Decor has a true designer's touch. Service was very pleasant and attentive. My friends have been telling me about this hidden gem and I'm so glad that I finally tried it! I got their rare steak pho and the beef was so tender. My wife got their pork ramen and she simply said it was delicious. The noodles and meat were cooked to perfection. The service was on point too. Some of my favorite foods come in this place. Ramen and Pho are my two favorite things to eat on a rainy day and this place serves both. Considering where it's located it's pretty good. I enjoyed my seafood pho. It was missing the mussels but they were generous with the squid so it made up for it. The kimbap is a perfect appetizer for two or more people or a full meal for oneself if you also get a side of the banchan.
